A decent little building mod added to Freeside, the vendor inside has only 3 dialogue options to pick from. To ask him to repair something, to ask what he's selling and to say goodbye. The NPC only has a voice line for when you say goodbye and want to stop talking to him. So would anyone wanna give him so basic generic voice lines like "take a look" "Let me see what I can do" or whatever for when you pick the other two options ? The Ritas Cafe Freeside mod is decent but empty. Only a single woman inside the building that won't sell you anything. Maybe someone could add some NPC's inside sitting in the chairs eating and drinking ? Or perhaps allow her to sell the player drinks ? The guards that protect Westside wear leather armor and carry single shots. This mod --> https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/56437 gives them all reinforced leather armor and riot shotguns Was wondering if anyone could change their weapons to hunting rifles and 10mm submachine guns instead since all of them having riot shotguns seems a bit silly. The mod author has given permission to anyone that wishes to alter his original version of the mod.

Westside open is a great mod but sadly the person who made Populated Westside mod made it so his NPC's only show up inside the Westside cell so if you have Westside open to remove the barriers and doors you can't see the added in NPC's by the other mod. Would anyone be willing to make a patch that could allow both to work together ? I'll have to see if I can find any footage online of someone using a shield in that mod then. But if we can bring whatever they did to the base game then that would be incredible

Well I'm sure it's possible. The modding community has done far more complex stuff in the past.

I have no idea... I've never tried it before. The mods age and the awful looking shields has made me not wanna try it. The modding community for New Vegas has come along way since 2012 so I'm surprised nobody has tried their hand at it at all since 2012

If someone is willing to put in the time to try and figure out a way to make shields work in New Vegas they could be epic. Especially factions using shields

Well there is this mod but the shields don't look very good and the mod itself is old, posted back in 2012. I've never tired it but seeing the comments I'm guessing the main problem is the shields blocking the pipboy. https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/46963

Why hasn't anyone does this yet ? I have only seen 1 mod on Nexus that adds shields and they don't look all that good. Why are there not riot shields and metal shields for the brotherhood or some sort of shield for the legion to use ?
