Then may I ask what exactly is the point of Reporting a Mod ?? , it's obvious it does nothing , as in the modder just ignores it , and its also obvious no one here is willing to do anything about it , so why even have that ?? , why not just put on the mod page , "A lot of mods don't work , sorry , but not sorry , your on your own , find another one" , , I'm not trying to sound like a jerk , but seriously , that is what it sounds like is how it works I had asked a whole bunch of other stuff , but I just deleted it , because I didn't see the point of asking anymore , as it seems obvious that everyone here (users like me) are pretty much on their own , and thats that ....... Thanks for the explanation , but I'm really confused now , basically it sounds like I was , or am close to being in Violation of the rules for asking that something I downloaded to actually function like its supposed to ...... great ... that makes sense ..... Forget I asked ..... it's not worth pursuing if anything is going to be fixed , because its obvious , no one cares enough to fix anything , or thinks anything is broken with this system ... ....

I'm not talking about being disrespectful (as I believe I certainly have not to the modders in question to my issues) but I feel allowing a Red Flag marker to be put on the mod with a description of the issue (whether it be the game locking up or simply being not current with the game) and after x amount of flags , the modder is contacted to either remedy the issue , or have them remove the mod from rotation if they are not interested in "fixing" the issue , or as I mentioned , putting "flagged" mods in their own category , with a warning/statement that the mod may not function or is a version that requires a older version of the game to use or something I'm not trying to run modders off , if anything I am trying to encourage them to keep up with the mods they made , which benefits everyone , which is why I made the reports that are supplied by this site , however its obvious that those particular mods I mentioned/tried/reported have not been updated and/or the modder has not responded or attempted to fix the issue/s , so basically the "reports" are kind of useless , and that's why I feel a Flagging system is the way to help others (like myself) so that people leaving snotty remarks to them would not be a issue (there is always someone who will but most are respectful from what I have seen unless the modder just never responds to their complains/concerns , which would be a legit reason to remove the mod from rotation) that keeps it respectful , and you get a predetermined questionnaire , basically like a Poll , so you get say 5 choices of X is wrong , and/or X happens , with a brief description of each item and its submitted , once x amount are submitted with the same issue , its sent to the modder (automatically), who has x time to respond or fix the issue or it will be either removed or whatever by a staff member at that time (or automatically , and if the modder responds to why his mod was removed , he then has a chance to explain why he didn't respond or fix the issue , if its legit , then a moderator here can reinstate it , or not I'm not saying I have any answers , I'm just saying the current system is broken and needs attention, and some kind of solution other than what exists , and I feel the Flag or something similar is the way to go without taking actual persons away from their duties to police it To me this would not inconvenience anyone , or maybe be inconvenient for a short time to the programmers here while its being implemented , then it becomes a automated system and is only dealt with by the staff if it's not fixed or addressed (say the modder has not been back in 6 months , so the mod is scrapped or placed in a "it's for non updated games" or something , or the modder didn't know there was a issue and that gives him a chance to rebut the removal) , basically making it easier for users like me to know , this mod is flagged ... because , xxxx , warning , as I certainly did not know what to look for in regards of how to tell if a mod is viable or not I did find a mod that worked , that removed the bombs/triggers from ALL doors in the maps , so that basically solved the issue and I no longer needed more flashbangs/nades , and I found it by using showler's advice , and looked for the most current mods , so it actually works like its supposed to

Yes , that is basically what I was requesting , that I did report the mod as a issue , and did not hear anything further that it would be resolved/updated , or that , as showler pointed out to me , that they were "old" mods and most likely wouldn't be updated , which is why they should then be either taken from rotation , or have a section for earlier versions of the game where people with older versions can still have mods , however as most of the games nowadays are downloaded through Steam , they get constant updates (not sure what , because I get updates for games that are a few years old (Sniper Ghost Warrior for example) , yet Steam still does updates for them , but as mentioned , I have no clue what they are updating , because the game is older , so not sure what a update will do if its already been updated and a next installment is already out (Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 , 3 , etc.) In regards to the game mods themselves here , if they haven't been updated to the current version of the game they are designed for , then maybe as Gantz79 mentioned , those should be checked (maybe implement a system that requires the mod to show a Version number , and the database verifies it with the current version of the game , its done by the site not a person , then those mods are flagged , then those mods that are not matching the current version in the database makes the system notify the modder that this file needs to be updated , if within a specific period of time its not updated , then it is removed from the database because the system knows it notified the modder on x date , this whole process requires someone to code it , and put it into the system , and won't require the people here to take time away from their duties , which seems to be a concern , and the database is free from bloatware so to speak , and the new users *like me* don't have to download , report , have no resolution , and have to search again for something similar and repeat because the next one they find is the same way) Or the person who made them be contacted (or attempted to be contacted by the site after the flag has been in effect without a response for x amount of time) , and if they said they are not going to update it , or can't be contacted after X attempts , then the mod should be pulled by someone here who can verify it has not been followed through by the modder and manually be removed from rotation that way there won't be 630,000 mods to sort through , there may only be 500,000 , but those ones are actually functional , which would free up the site and allow people to browse mods that are actually functional and not download mod after mod , and report them , and nothing becomes of it , because there is no system in place to monitor them , or correct the issue of non functioning or problematic mods that were just obsolete , or so buggy they just don't work , what is the point to report it as non functioning or causing issues , if nothing is done to rectify the issue ?? , all that does is pass the problem to someone else (someone like me) and it just keeps going on and on , and just stays there for the next new guy (like me) to file a report that does nothing to resolve the issue of the mod being knowingly obsolete or corrupt ...

Thanks for all the replies , I guess by the sounds of it , unless they happen to respond to my feedback or whatever the report generates , then I am most likely out of luck .... Again , Thanks for replying and explaining how the system works , I was under the impression that the people that make them , basically are the same as hackers , they kind of do it all the time , and keep up on game versions , etc. , but as you explained , maybe they just made it for themselves and wanted to share it , but did it when the game was new and didn't update the mod to reflect the game changes ..... Thanks .... Jim

Thank you for the reply and explanation ... I do understand they are not supported by the game developers , I would guess mainly because of possible viruses and altering things that would (for Multiplayers) be considered a "cheat" , as I have been playing PC video games since the mid 90's (Novalogic Delta Force series *pretty much all of them*) and was top 10 in the world in most kills in some of them , and was a Beta tester on some games (Joint Ops Escalation) , so I know how most of it works , however I have never tried , nor know the basics of Coding and never claim to be knowledgeable in those things , I have however used mods made for some games before , but always in Singleplayer , since I no longer play Multiplayer in any game I have had several heart attacks and 2 strokes over the last 8 years , and have a Pacemaker , so I try to stay away from the stress that Multiplayer often brings , so I just play by myself for fun anymore , so the mods I chose only had a advantage of being able to blow the trigger of the doors on some of the maps in this game , because that seems to be mostly what causes my deaths in the game and its frustrating because I can't tell what door is triggered and which one isn't , having the extra Nades and/or Flashbangs helps keep my AI teammates alive , as several of them have died as a result of the door triggers as well , or they open the door and get shot to death , because they don't seem to understand to move out of the way when being fired upon by the Hostile AI , and it keeps me alive as well The only way I can currently carry more (about 6) is to basically rid myself of the majority of my Body Armor , which creates its own issue surviving the mission , which so far I have spent 3 days trying to complete because of the stupid door bombs , and I have no clue as to how to detect them , aside from telling my AI teammate to Disable them , since I'm still learning this game , I am not sure of what to look out for and the game itself really does not offer any tips or hints about working around them since it can be any door , and always seems to be several of them triggered , and for some reason standing behind the edge of the door offers no protection and you still die when off to the side , since you have to be close to the door to use the prompts to do anything with it Back on topic , as far as being a User , I did report them as not working at each particular mod , as I had mentioned , but I have not heard anything from the modders to say they will fix it or not , so I have no clue as to what will happen with them , and I didn't want a mod just to have a mod , I wanted them to serve a purpose , because for some reason the Devs don't want you carrying more than a couple which makes no sense if this is supposed to be a "realistic" game , it falls way short on many levels , but at least there are places like this that offer some help , but as you mentioned , it doesn't mean it will do anything However I was unaware that the mods had not been updated to the current version of the game which is what showler mentioned was the issue with the ones I chose , so that's on me for not checking my game , but I was also unaware I needed to , but in the broader sense , I also didn't think it would matter what version anything was , because that would mean , every time the game is updated , then the mod fails , and I end up with the same issue I am currently having , which sucks , since they update these games constantly , and I assumed as mentioned that the "modder" would make sure their mods were current with the game , otherwise they would be uploading the newest version , in a different location , and you would have to look at each one uploaded to find the current version , which would also suck , so there has to be a better solution than just hope the one you download works and was updated to match the game
-
Thanks for the quick reply , I did not check the Version because I just assumed it would be altered/updated to match each version of the game , as I figured it is the Modders responsibility to do so and just figured it would be current , I know I saw some people saying it was updated , but I did not check my version and what the mod said ..... So I will look at the version of my game and see if there is any of the mods I want (basically nades and Flashbangs) and go from there .....

Hopefully without sounding like a jerk , as that is not my intention ... I never said anyone told me they would check , I am asking that they implement that procedure , or better yet , that anything "untested" should maybe be released as a Beta ONLY , (example: More Nades Mod *Beta*) and only after being proven to actually work (by Beta Testers like ALL games use when developing), and it reaches a pre-determined amount of Positive Reviews (say 100 downloads and 95 of them it worked for) does it then come off the "Beta" mode (More Nades Mod), so it would then be released as a actual proven Mod once it actually is proven it functions like it should , who cares if people release thousands of mods a day if they are not tested first , what have they accomplished then ? , to be called a Hack ?? , just saying , I certainly would not be calling them a "modder" , if that was the case you could just go to Jack in the Box and pick someone and say , "you are now a modder" , that's not how its supposed to work , anyone can pump out mods without caring or checking that they actually work , then this place just becomes a dumping ground for useless garbage because "I'm a modding guy" wants to tell everyone he's a modder , when in fact he's just wasting bandwidth and annoying or letting down people that actually think someone made something cool and worthwhile for a game that the Dev's failed to do I chose 3 random mods , all 3 either did nothing , or crashed the game and/or gave a error before even loading the game completely (2 of the 3 did this) , so what was actually accomplished other than I got frustrated and complained about it (like everyone should instead of just accepting that this is what we get and not say anything until the next guy comes along and says it doesn't work , and then everyone says , "yeah we know they don't work , but were not going to do anything about it because it takes effort" , why support that mentality ?? , that is what happened to MCM Factory for Motocross Madness and MXvsATV Unleashed , there was a ton of tracks that were released that maybe took 5 minutes of effort to make , but that "modder" would pump out 20 of them in a day and spam the site with literal junk that wasted bandwidth and eventually killed the site *it became MCMFactory which also is barely hanging on*) or how about allowing the users (like me) , to put a mark on the download , that it didn't work , then when it gets so many marks (say 10 out of 15 downloads) , then its removed from the list and the "modder" needs to address the complaint issues until they either work , then put it back in rotation or he dumps it and its not put back in rotation because it obviously doesn't work , but since the persons that made the Mods haven't responded in this topic or to my 3 complaints to the specific modders who made them , I am assuming nothing will be done to "fix" it , since the only reason I downloaded it was to accomplish what the Mod offered , but it failed to deliver , and everyone seems ok with that ..... With that all said if you made it this far ..... Can you then please direct me to a mod that accomplishes what I was downloading it for , that actually works ?? , (more nades and flashbangs is all I wanted) , because so far I only have 2 of each and to keep from getting blown up constantly from triggered doors , I need to have something to throw at them that will cause the trigger to explode before I try to enter the room , since 98% of my deaths are caused by door explosions , 6 of each would be great , I didn't think it was much to ask , but so far I got 3 duds Thanks for replying though , I appreciate it ..... Jim

So far I have downloaded 3 mods , none of them have worked , and 2 of them either froze the game while loading and/or gave a Corrupt File error while loading the game and the other flat out didn't work , but at least allowed the game to load , if this site is going to allow people to "MOD" , and then it should have the responsibility of checking to verify they work before posting it , since it seems all topics have to be verified by a Moderator , why don't they reply when a question is directed to them when I am posting a topic/question , like why aren't these files verified they work before allowing them to be downloaded ?? The Mods were : 20 Slots (corrupt File error ) , More Nades (didn't work at all) , and 90 Slots (corrupt file error and froze the game) , I sent Bug Reports for each of the Downloaded Mods , so hopefully that helps , but I just downloaded this game a few days ago , and so far ALL the mods I have downloaded from here (3 of them) have not worked at all and/or locked up the game or prevented it from loading , so not a good average , that 3 random mods all are bad ... This should be addressed , because if this is how the quality control is , there is no point in trying to download anything and support this site .... Highly disappointed so far ..

OK , I think I finally found it going through Steam in the Game Properties , going to see if it works now UPDATE: Well I just went in the game and there is still only 2 flashbangs and 1 grenade , so it looks like the mod didn't do anything , or at least not what I thought it was going to do , which was give me more grenades and flashbangs , I put the PAK in the D/Programs X86 / Steam Apps / Common / Ready or Not / Ready or Not / Content / Paks folder , was this correct ?? , if so what is this mod supposed to do , because from what I see it didn't do anything , and the game was closed when I installed it , then I opened/started the game and went to the Shooting Range to test to see how many I had , and nothing changed ,, Any helpful info would be appreciated ... Thanks ... Jim One last thing , I am playing Campaign , I don't play Multiplayer , does this matter ?? , also I don't see any 9bang or whatever its called either Update/Update: I just tried the More Slots Mod , and all it did was Corrupt the game files , so I had to run a file check , it said all files validated , but then I tried to play and the game came up with a error again that said the same thing , corrupted files , so I deleted the Pak and rechecked the integrity of the game files and it works again , so basically , 2 of the downloaded mods do not work , I'm wondering why these are not checked by staff here before they are released , , since neither of the files actually worked , , so anyway , I am not going to use the mods , since they don't work , and its not worth it to me to mess with it more , again I only play Singleplayer , so I'm guessing that's why the one mod doesn't work , but the More Slots mod , makes the game crash , so its no good ... , so figured I would update the post to let everyone know what I found ...

I just downloaded the Grenade mod for Ready or Not , but there is nothing that tells you where to install it or really any details about what you get in the file , when I look through my Windows files for Ready or Not , all I find is what is in Steam , so I don't see any actual game files , and trying to find them from WinRar , is the same (thats why I hate Steam , all my old games installed as a stand alone game/program , unlike everything now goes through Steam , so its a pain to do anything), I only find Steam and Games , but it doesn't show the games , and when I did find Ready or Not , all I found was the executable for the game and when I clicked it , the game started , but I couldn't access the files , because when I did a Windows Search for the game thats all it found , so I have no clue how to install the Mod (I am hoping the mod just gives me more than 2 Grenades , as that is what I want is more than 2 So my question is , When I open WinRar and it wants me to Extract the Zip , where exactly is the path I am looking for to get the PAK into the game ?? (my games/programs are on their own drive , not the C drive , I have a 4tb drive that is for my games , so everything goes to my D drive)
