Try checking if the mod meets all the platform's guidelines, ensure the files are properly compressed, and make sure none of them are flagged by antivirus software.

It's totally normal to encounter a CTD (Crash to Desktop) when adding or removing mods mid-playthrough, especially during character/world testing.
