I'm having the same problem at the moment with my MacBook Pro, and I've been using Safari. I play Stardew Valley so you can imagine the amount of mods I come across to download, but I noticed the download button stopped working a while ago and had no idea why (downloads were fine up until then). I've checked my security, cleared storage, enabled javascript and disabled pop-ups, basically all the things that have been suggested and the download button is still not working.
