  1. Exactly that, I can't wait to see the mods people come up with - after the in-game inventions and contraptions they're making, this stage is going to be even more exciting I'm so sorry for your loss... Can totally relate, we lost our boy Power Outlet in October and it just feels more painful daily. I just try to believe, whatever hard or dumb it is, that maybe he and Atherton are playing together on the Rainbow now... and hope Power Outlet plays nice as he was known for having no filter. Huge same with my cattos (got 3 earthside and 2 on the Rainbow), they're family members and best friends and there's no me without them.
  2. Awww, thank you! And that is a majestic creature on your userpic! I specifically go for animal snoots, so the office dogs already cover them when see me approaching. And - yes, this is our game! You just made my day, it's always so nice to know someone knows our game and has it on the wishlist! I became an automation fan (and before more of automation-curious) after playing Factorio & Satisfactory for work, and then Oddsparks became playable - and that got me addicted. Since the game is creative in its essence - we thought mods are like... a natural evolution of it.
  3. Thanks so much for the warm welcome! Means a lot! I've mainly been using some mods while gaming with my partner, was considering making some (nothing serious, but like replacing some games' sounds with farts ) - but never had a chance to deep-dive into the topic. And now, with those insanely talented people on our Discord who are likely to build epic mods - it's a must to add that opportunity.
  4. ...came here for work stuff, ended up reading a lot as modding is a new and interesting thing for me. I'm a community manager for a dev team making a cute automation game, a noob indie dev (after work) and have an unhealthy obsession with cats and dogs. As our team is about to add modding possibility to the game, I've been looking up the mods other games have and what people request, so that we could make such things possible in our game.
  5. Hi! My team is making a cozy and deep factory game, Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure, and we'll be adding modding in the next big update. So we're looking for ideas and suggestions of mods that would be cool to have in an automation game. Once we know what people would like to see, we can focus of making that possible. To give you an idea of what Oddsparks is like, it's as if Pikmin were doing all the work in Factorio. You build and automate workshops for these cute creatures called Sparks, and put them to work: they run the workstations producing the resources, and transport all the stuff on paths - that's what we have instead of conveyor belts. As the Sparks are working, you can go explore the world and battle all kinds of weird creatures - some resources you can only get this way. And yes, battles also happen through the use of Sparks - some of which are better fighters than the others. If you have questions or need more info - feel free to ask, I'll be checking the thread daily.
