I think it would make more sense if intimidation was a strength-based check, and persuasion was an intelligence-based check.
Right now, Charisma is overpowered in dialogue, and I think this would balance that out, and also it would make more sense (making up lies doesn't necessarily require intelligence, but reasoning to convince someone? Yeah that one's intelligence).
Performance and deception should stay Charisma. I think animal handling should be Charisma-based too.
