I can not upgrade a standard or enchanted daedric shield. I can upgrade every other piece of armor, but if I pick up or forge a daedric shield It is not listed at the workbench. any idea's? I don't have any mods that change armor currently that I can think of.

Boss says there is nothing wrong. there are no missing files. any other suggestions? I have double checked all folders. I have all the meshes, textures, etc. in the right folders. Could it be a windows 7 thing?

Any and all armor mods I use crash my game as soon as I mouse over the armors in question. it is not a load order.
