I'm experiencing very random CTDs. They have no particular pattern to them, and do not show any messages. The game just closes out and shuts down. I felt like it may have been with the graphics being too high, but after lowering it, it didn't help. There are no FPS drops, the game just crashes. Could this due to some conflict between my mods, or a patch for some of the mods that I don't know about? Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance!

Hello everyone! I really love all the mods of the Skyrim Community and downloaded a whole bunch, but now my mod organizer has more than 255 mods and won't properly load Skyrim. I was thinking if I wanted to merge mods that other people make, and make some small tweaks to them (for my personal use of course, I would never redistribute something without the original owner's permission), where should I start? Could someone point me to a couple guides to help me get started? The only Skyrim modding I've done is making a new location/house. I never finished it but it was just for fun. The mods I want to merge would mostly just be weapon and armor mods and such, not anything complex like skyrim redone or anything. Thanks everyone!

I really like a lot of the custom player home mods available but I feel a bit cheap just being able to waltz in and claim the playerhome, or just do a simple dungeon for a playerhome. I recently installed Tel Nalta and I really like how you have to build onto it kind of like how you have to build your own homestead in Hearthfire. Are there any other mods of cool player homes that have similar features? It doesn't have to be exactly a workbench thing, maybe like an extended quest or something more difficult than just a short dungeon run :3 Thanks everyone!

Is it possible to have traveling NPCs like the Khajiit Caravan members, Maiq the Liar, or other NPCs (is the Ebony Warrior one too?) that travel around Tamriel to be able to stop at a custom location I have made? I'm thinking of making an inn and having travelers go in there whenever they're near it. Is it possible to do with just one thing like a marker or do I have to edit the NPCs AI Packages and schedules and stuff? And if I do have to, is it possible to not set it as a specific time that they go, but rather whenever they're near the places? Thanks guys!

Creation Kit Problem: NPCs falling through floors?

Thanks for the reply! I'm not sure what those terms are but I'll research it! Do I have to navmesh the exterior too? I thought it was only for interiors :O -
I have my floor set above solid ground so that my custom home, which is on top of a mountain, could have some flat area to work with. However, all the entities/npcs I've added onto the floor seem to spawn straight through it! And it varies by character, some character saves I have will have all NPCs on top, and some will have all under the floor, and some will have a bit of both. What can I do to fix this? I've tried setting them a bit above the floor (floating) to see if it was the NPCs dropping down but that doesn't seem like that's the case. Much appreciated! Thanks!

I did a quick wiki look up and it seems that Fort Greymoor is just like any other fort except for the one NPC that is part of a Dark Brotherhood's quest. It's situated in quite a neat spot and I want to just get rid of the bandits/imperials/stormcloaks and make it a custom home, with that one maid NPC intact. If I do so, and delete some of the event boxes in creation kit, would this be bad? Is it vital in the Civil War? Are there any mods that would get affected by me editing greymoor fort? (Such as Organized Bandits, Civil War Overhaul, and Immersive Patrols)? Thanks guys!

I've tried looking into the Greybeards and Vampires data, but I can't seem to figure out how to get my follower to use the invisiblity spell when he's almost dead (and flees) and also I can't get him to shout disarm if the opponent is too close... I already have vampiricinvisibility and greybeardsdisarmshout in his spell list. What else do I need to modify?

I think my mod is a bit too ambitious for a starter right now so I'm going to try out something on a smaller scale! :) Also, bummer that I can't use copyrighted music. There's this one soundtrack that would've gone great with the Akavir mod I had in mind (for a boss battle): I have a few more questions if you don't mind: 1. Is it possible to get an npc to have the option "Would you mind being a steward for XXXX", with XXXX being a custom home I made for the player? 2. Is it possible to make a custom home be an option for your family to move into? 3. If #1 can't be done, is there a way to : 3a: Import your bard, steward, and housecarl to a custom home? 3b: Or alternatively create a custom steward and bard and housecarl? 4. Would I have to do all the AI stuff of a unique NPC from scratch or can I use someone else's mod (after receiving permissions) with something like an AI pack or something? (Not sure how to describe it) 5. What are some nice, not-so tall mountains/hills I should put my modded house at? :) Thanks again!

Hello guys! I'm very interested in modding Skyrim now after installing so many mods. However, my ideas might not work if some things are hardcoded into the game and I want to know before I spend my time on it. Thanks for taking your time and reading my questions! 1. Can I change the animation of a particular spell? E.g. If I use a custom fire spell, can I make it so that the player sees me punching a fist and then having fire come out as opposed to doing the "talk to the hand" vanilla motion? 2. My mod is going to be influenced by Naruto, but not a direct adaptation of Naruto into Skyrim, more like borrowing some common themes to work with. If I make a quest, am I able to have a particular music play on a particular event? 2b. Piggybacking off of that, am I allowed to directly use the soundtrack of another show/game and use it in Skyrim, of course giving credits/disclaimers, and not get my mod shut down because of it? Would it be against the rules to do that? E.g. Using Game of Thrones music for a mod that has nothing to do with Game of Thrones (I'm not doing a Game of Thrones mod btw) 3. Can I change the look of a particular race's body part (e.g. the eye) when it uses a skill? 4. I don't think I would be doing any overhauls or anything, mostly just adding a new place to explore, a race, a custom home, new "spells" and racial powers, and some quests. Will this all be done in Creation Kit? I have more questions but I can't think of all of them right now. Thank you guys for taking the time and helping me out!

I've installed SKSE 1.7.2, Racemenu 3.0, JContainers, SkyUI AND Familiar Faces, and everything works perfectly until I activate the tome. When I do activate the tome, it exports my character data but when light shines onto the room, a message says "missing chargen slot the character will be disabled". Also, when I look at the MCM of Familiar Faces, it says that I have a "Missing Race from Unknown Source". I just uninstalled everything and reinstalled everything and still it has this problem. What's causing it? Is it incompatible with Skyre? Thanks guys! It's just so frustrating after hours and hours of searching and all the forum posts that do address this problem are either unanswered or ignored or waiting for a reply from the author for years :/ It's such a cool mod and I really want to use it!
