i don't mind the long wait for DA2 I'm in no hurry to playing this game anytime soon as i am still waiting for their promised patch to fix the bugs of their previous releases and those buggy DLC's and more.......... :blink:
as long as they(bioware and EA) can deliver me a great and awesome gaming experience for a game that i have paid for then i will be happy to make the long wait and till they fix all the problems of bugs/storylines/FX ect. to give their fans what their moneys worth. :blush:
besides there are other games that will be out soon like D3 that would occupy my time as soon as thy are released in the market.

for a fan of leliana & morrigan I for one would buy this DLC , it might be interesting playing as her role , learning more who she really was ect. and i'm a sucker for french accents http://bestsmileys.com/blushing/3.gif for 7 bucks i am pretty sure it will be much longer than DC else i will be sending bioware hate mails for a month XD :biggrin:

I was as specific as I knew how to be, spets. I don't think this originated during the Urn quest. I noticed the problem after a normal fight, during the encounter where Bhelen's rebels seek you out on the surface to avenge his death. Nothing special happens in that fight; it is very straightforward. However, I could check an earlier save to see if the problem has been around longer than I realized.
see that's where i get confused cause as far as i have known this kind of bug only occurs during the sacred ash quest , happened to me a few times when i forget to remove my armors and let the tablet remove them automatic before going through the flame wall.
i don't really know if there is a mod to fix this , but i do have a work around on this so it can be prevented i just load my previous save and remove all my armors and that's it stat's is back to normal.
dunno about your case tho, may be it's new.

well if there is an alister out there in the real world he would not be an good looking guy like the alister in-game else he would be an arse, or a dick and chasing woman with those looks. that's why bioware did a great job(making fantasies come to life)and the woman drooling over him just like morrigan :whistling:
I have to disagree in part with this, in my book a man being a virgin is nothing and isn't important as it was considered more important that the man knew what he was doing in that department
what i meant was if alister is real then this person would already be in a relationship by now married/gay or something.
yes there are or where real Alistairs in the world I know because I've got one and no he isn't or ever has been a womanising a/d some men don't actually realise what they have going for them.
sounds like you have the perfect catch there good for you.
what i am saying here is that if there is a real alister in this world then he is not as near-perfect as the alister in-game.bioware created this splendid char simply because it appeals to woman as much as morrigan appeals to most men they probably did it on a survey to what really appeal on a fantasy game $.i am not saying that there are no alister in the world it's just that they already found someone else to begin with. :woot:

i don't understand you need a mod that fixes debuff glitch on stats?
is this from the urn of sacred ashes where you need to strip down your armors and walk through the fire and if your inventory is full and got stripped then you equip your armors and there are missing stats in your companion?

to be able to make these changes would be next to impossible it would take time and effort oh and more time to actually do these kind of changes in-game and he/she better be good using with the tool set to actually make this project work.
although the author of the page made a very good plan, to0 bad they can't implement i personally would like to see the keep restored as it is supposed to be a gray warden base and have those cool merchants in the keep would be very interesting. :rolleyes:

thanks for the info bud , i think ima try this mod these sounds promising :thumbsup: i was thinking of making my custom mage robes into volcanic and morrigans robes if it is possible to up a notch in the wand.
i hope it doesent conflict with other mods installed in my system or any alteration in my .gda files XD ty ty

I'm really not a technologically savvy person and I'm not sure how it would work. But I just think it might be pretty cool if there was new Maleficar class for mages? Might be able to summon demons to aid them kinda like a ranger? Might be a bit over powered though. Pride demon would be neat to have at your beck and call, no? Post your thoughts I guess, don't know how this all goes. Sorry if this idea is stupid or lame~

finding a guy like alister in this modern age is like finding a needle in a hay stack. if you do find one(by some devine miracle) either they are married or gay. yeah sure whatever gets your socks on yeah.

i think there are guys in the real world like Alistair. He reminds me to the guys you have a crush on but the don't realise it. In my opinion he is a one of the guys standing with his friend around on a party and tries hardly not to speak to girls.

Easiest way is to download and install The Upgrade Wand. There may be console commands for it but the wand works on everything, weapons, armor, clothes.
clothes you say? it makes starmetal clothes that means it has sockets when you import the robes to expansion right?? have you tried this with both winter forge on or is it in-compatible with other mods i don't see any compatibility issues on the desc.
i'm tempted to try this my self hmmm.

yeah i totally agree with you on this. it gets worst if you have 2 mages in your party with the sustained abilities on like death syphon , cleanse aura , spell might this is a good idea, to make a mod.if some one is interested in doing this little project.all those spells get tangled in the environment.an fusion of colors ect.
I remember there is a similar mod like this from awakening that removes the SFX from a warrior skill i think it was for the air of insolence skill or Beyond the veil sustained abilities in the expansion i just forgot the name of that mod.
it removes the Special effects of the sustained abilities but the abilities itself is activated near the quickbar to reduce environment glow or something like that.let me try and find that link. :thumbsup:

I don't think any MMO has a pinnacle point where you have too much money to spend. There's always some yahoo who wants 30,000 gold for Mekgineer's Chopper, and 20 others who think that's a fair price.
that's why I'm always broke in MMO's too many wants and none of the needs.(temptations are everywhere)having too much money in MMo's is not enough they always end up broke eventually.then the usual farming starts and the cycle continues again and again and again.
unless i save up the dough and let it rust in storage

there is actually a mod that helps you open locked chest , catch is there is a chance of breaking the item in the process. well , depending on the configuration you set in the file but it works like a charm. i don't even need a rogue in my party.
OT: it really boils down on your playing style after all has been said , whether it be an Dual Wield , Defender or 2-Hand "if the shoe fits "yes....... ;D

I don't have any problem regarding CTD TBH since i rarely crash only if i have multiple programs running at once but i do hate the memory leak especially when i enter the warewolf cave after the juggernaut quest i can feel the game slowing down and causing uber delay dunno if it happens to u guys as well?i always end up reloading my game for it to properly function.
another bug that has been bothering me is in the expansion the +100 sigrun/justice bug i end up using the console just to fix the approval skills and sigruns quest and smuglers run it is good that bioware is addressing this issues.something to look forward to.
Considering we PC users are much ,way more luckier than the console players regarding patches & Fixes, cause of this great community that fixes are available to us. sad for consoles :down: sux to be them atm

do you remember master wade? of denerim (drake scales, Dragon Scales) , haren is master wade's assistant he can be found at the smith shop outside vigil's keep , i mean outside the throne room on the left side facing andrastes statue near the houses and a big gate(Compound Grounds).you can't miss him just look for a whining black smith and presto XD :biggrin:
( he sells armors , weapons and shields from silverite to volcanic gears including a re specialization book and a few shield crest symbols in his shop and some trap making mats) he also gives you an quest for equipping your soldiers for the keep in the upcoming defense of your Vigil. finding ores and such

I have been looking for the same thing , sad to say didn't find any in my search (phail) i can only find dog re placers textures (wolf such an such) been looking for this kind of mod for months. it would be cool to design you dog with different styles of kaddis so far my favorite kaddis that i use is from RTO.the ones you get from the dead doggies lying on the snow.
dunno if anyone can create this type of mod.btw i did find a cool looking collar from feat gifts that cone thingy for your dog lol dunno if its bugged but after you equip that damn thing it just disappears around the dogs neck when you leave camp.but still in his inventory . hmmmm http://bestsmileys.com/clueless/1.gif

but the thread starter ask specifically Why is it called "Dragon Age: Origins"? <=== this actually refers to the individual story of the race you choose in-game as a warden :biggrin: thus the word Origin :thumbsup:
SPOILERS possible
Part of me thinks that,but another part of me thinks that our wardens are going to be involved for one heck of a tale. I mean the "Origin" of the hero,this is sometimes very common in stories that traverse many books. Awakening is the continuation of such Origin leading in to the end of the begging of the tale, naturally one can suspect that maybe this franchise will be centered on said Grey Warden. Though many argue and I have to a degree agree that maybe our warden tale is done, and they only played the central role of a bigger story to come and next game is a continuation from the events caused by said Warden, and there is a new character to fill a central role of the bigger picture. While I feel my Warden's tale is not over and needs some closure,but we need to be ready to face that maybe in grand scheme our Warden is just one of many protagonists to come. Imo I feel that Morrigan is really the only other character with her "loop hole" that really progresses the story and sets the stage for what is beyond the "Origin"/"Begging" of an epic story that will from chain events have a real major impact.
Just sooo many directions the writers will take from here hard to tell,but to tell a story you must first start with a begging tale like all great tales do,and that's why it is called "ORIGINS"
