I ban @Drakefell01 and @Pagafyr because they both caught my attention! 1, 2, 3, 4, I declare a ban war...
-
I ban @Pagafyr for mistaking my lack of posting and just lurking as being absent from the site. It is always the quiet ones you have to watch out for.

Are we going to still be able to track the mod threads we follow from the Forums side or no? So far, all I am able to track is content/posts from the Forums and that pretty much makes things difficult.
-
Sounds like a plan. If you have something that would make a "sticky post" overly long, the Articles section would make a good alternative to post explainations and whatnot. The "sticky" could be used to point out where to look for the information for specific topics.

I have never bothered with the Articles tab on any mod before, nor with any of my own mods, but knowing that is rather helpful. :)

The Fallout 4 mods section has been working for me over the passed few days and is still doing so today. Perhaps you should post your issue in the Site Feedback forum and see what the staff have to say.
-
From where did they vanish? Are you referring to losing your tracked mods or your installed mods from your mod manager? If the latter, which mod manager? No one can help if you do not provide enough details.

I just tried four random mods on the FO4 Nexus, and the download buttons worked for each one. *shrugs*

Try leaving you question/issue on the mod thread once again. If you still cannot leave a comment, perhaps send a PM (personal message) to the uploader and see if you can get assistance that way. A lack of a helpful response in an open forum usually means that anyone seeing the post actually lacks any knowledge about the issue. I apologize for not suggesting this in my previous post.

It might help folks to know as to which game you are inquiring about.

Lag whilst transferring items to/from inventory
Druuler replied to bongodoctor's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
That seems to be an issue with Bethesda games in general, up 'til now. I will notice the lag in FO3 and NV as well, with a "bag of holding" type container that I throw everything into. Part of it is probably related to what HeyYou mentioned, with items with attached scripts having said scripts start running when you open the container. I have always thought it was the inability of the game engine to handle the calculation changes associated with so many items in the container. The game engine might be set up to recalculate every time you click on another item in the inventory. It is just a theory on my part. With that said, even though my experiences are generally with the older games, both Fallout 4 and Skyrim (both 32 and 64 bit versions) are built using modified versions of the Gamebryo engine, so maybe the issue is game engine related. *shrugs* -
I am a Firefox user, and I am having no issues with the site.

the old chryslus bar and grill mod ----
Druuler replied to illwolf's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
What you are experiencing, is called a "missing mesh error". The esp file is not able to locate the required mesh or meshes for objects in the given area. Correcting this, in this case, requires having the original mod installed (minus the esp/esm file), as I believe the original added in some custom objects. The original is no longer available on the Nexus, and has not been for quite some time. If you search for it online, you will find it. I would post a link for you, but I believe the site it is hosted on is currently "black listed" here on the Nexus. -
Another reason for restrictive permissions, would be due to ownership of assets and whether or not the author has the ability to distribute said assets, beyond the sharing of the mod. A mod may have permission to use someone else's work for that mod only, with the original asset owner not allowing the sharing of his or her assets beyond that.

An upvote/downvote system was used on the Nexus years ago, and finally abolished due to rampant user abuse. I highly doubt that you will get the majority of mod authors to support its return. I could see it possibly working as an automated system working with/off of the tags system, but that, of course, requires mods to be properly tagged in the first place.

That membership option was discontinued back around August of last year (2021).

It seems Bunsaki has not re-uploaded any of his/her/their mods anywhere else at this time. I did find a Wordpress page with Bunsaki attached to it, but it is currently under construction.

Since you are saying it is an issue while using Vortex, I suggest posting your question in the Vortex forums.

Use a password manager, or allow your browser to remember log in information. Or, perhaps, put a note in your cell phone (if you have one) or get a small notebook to write passwords in, and keep it someplace safe.
