  1. Great to hear my suggestions are appreciated :) I fully understand and can't wait to see the changes in the future. Would be gracious to be kept updated!
  2. Before the Nexus site update, the search engine worked slightly better due to few small functionalities it had, but currently lacks. First of them is name filtering in search bar - that you could refine your results the same way you do it in any search engine like Google by e.g. adding words to exclude by inserting a minus before the said word. It was extremely useful in a range of cases. Consider this example: you want to find some mods that made the sky look prettier. In the search bar you type "sky" and hit enter. But what you get is not a single result about sky - instead you get everything that has got "Skyrim" in its title. Before the update that was no real problem as at this point you simply added "-skyrim" in the name search bar (so the whole sentence was "sky -skyrim") and you most likely got what you wanted. Now, however, that is not the case as the current search engine hasn't got this functionality - it only works as "file name contains" and nothing more. I believe either restoring name filtering in search bar or at least adding a new bar for "file name does not contains" would be extremely useful and helpful in searching many mod, particularly many niche ones. The second thing is that now the search engine sorts the results by the date published by default. Before the update it was the endorsements (could be downloads, I am not entirely sure), which was vastly better - I'd say everybody wants to find the best mods, not the newest ones (which are most often very crappy). And right now, to do that, we have to change the sorting method every time we issue a new search - just because of the default sorting method. It gets really irritating after just few searches. Thus, changing the default sorting method back to endorsements would be a slight, but very meaningful improvement to comfort of navigating the site.
  3. Well, neither do I! I think it looks nice, especially when you can see the sun rays, which are awesome! But for me, the resolution of textures was never the most important aspect of graphics - I think that they should first of all be climatic. That is why I still love Gothic I and II so much, and I wouldn't change how they look! Heheh, thanks :P You sir have just absolutely nailed it!
  4. The main goal of Special Edition was NOT the graphical improvement. What Bethesda actually wanted to achieve with Special Edition was: 1. Firstly, and most importantly of all: to bring Skyrim to new generation of consoles along with mods. So that owners of newer consoles could experience this game as well. The fact that it is coming out for PCs too is something like addition*. And that Special Edition is free for PC Legendary Edition owners is because it is THE SAME GAME, only with improved engine, which leads to the next point... 2. Secondarly, strictly related to the first: to update old Skyrim engine with newer technology in order to improve general performance and stability. One of greatest changes here is upgrade of engine from 32-bit to 64-bit, which allows for usage of way more memory and prevents many, many crashes. This section obviously covers the graphics engine as well: it adds depth of field, improves lighting system, and many more, but ONLY SLIGHTLY improves the textures. Additionally, it also adds few minor improvements, such as sorting saves by characters, rain occlusion, etc. The whole point why I wrote this topic is because I am fed up with all the people complaining about "how crappy the game looks", "there's no graphical improvement", "good it was free, because nobody would buy it". It is the same game, and it never was to have greately better visuals. If you think that graphics are the most imprtant aspect of the game, then sorry, but I consider you an idiot. Okay, I think I wrote everything I wanted to say. Please share your opinions! :) _____________________________________________________________________________ *What I mean is that PC was not the reason to make that remaster, we are getting in by the way.
