  1. It'd be even funnier if they said random sir-like phrases such as "For the Queen!" when fighting or "I do say!" when hit or "Well, I'd never!" or "Cheerio then" when killed. :P But maybe that's all too British. Either way, I support this silly little idea.
  2. Well that's why I've been saying that any other method would be more than fine. The NPC Editor doesn't work for me, but from what I can tell its implication is very limited, and doesn't really make the aspects of appearance it can change easy to change. Because none of us would have found that on our own if we haven't already. :P I dunno how well that would work, and it sounds like you're adding in another step that doesn't need to be there. Wouldn't want to screw things up by giving new NPCs with different IDs the same roles as other, now removed, NPCs. Again, that would get the same job done in a user-friendly way and thus I support that idea as well. I'm glad to see that someone had already implemented something like this for a previous Bethesda game; that really provides an opportunity to make things easier. Maybe I should start editing the first post to include all of these optional ideas.
  3. Now that's the kind of enthusiasm I'm talkin' about! And here I was worried that no one else shared my views, haha. On a side note, I like how we're both trying to make whites look like Asians. :P I doubt it'd be impossible, but I'm not saying it'd be easy either. I've seen some brilliant stuff over the years, so really I have no doubt that some brilliant mind will be able to figure something out to make this work. Of course, I know that something like this just doesn't happen over night or even in the week or two we have left to wait for the CK. But even if the CK beats our community's modders, wouldn't it be nice to have something like this? And even if they couldn't make something as glorious as an in-game showracemenu-type editor, as long as it's user-friendly and gets the same job done I'd be more than content. Now then, since we're making progress, I'd like to ask that you all petition your local modders to take up this cause and do our bidding. And by that I mean if you know any modders please ask them to consider working on this, as it'd really be helpful. :teehee:
  4. Finally, a supporter! :D Your idea sounds fine too; if it gets the same job done I'm all for it! Heck, if it's easier to make then I'd prefer that over my idea just so I can get to use it faster, lol.
  5. Well by "images" I meant the parts of the website that were images, so it was all very barren. I almost wanna say that it fixed itself when my brother stopped his torrents, but there's no way that could have been the problem for three days. Whatever the cause, this should probably be looked into.
  6. Sorry for posting this here, but I didn't know where else it would fit. I can see user uploaded images and images for mods, but every other image is missing from the website. Pretty much all I see is text, some darker backgrounds, and some arrows for drop-down menus. This is only on skyrimnexus.com, not the forums. This just started happening a day or two ago. I'm using the latest version of Firefox with AB+ on Windows 7, but I haven't done anything that could be causing this. EDIT: They just randomly reappeared. That's weird, but I'll take it.
  7. Hello people of the Nexus, Shawn263241 here with a hopefully humble enough request. I'd like to see a mod that allows one to easily edit the appearance of other NPCs, preferably in-game or with the implication of some other means to see the changes as they are made (maybe a render window of sorts if not in-game). If in-game, maybe it could be like the showracemenu command used to edit one's own character. I'm not quite sure how it could get done as I am almost completely unfamiliar with the modding process; all I know is that an easy way to permanently edit the appearance of NPCs would be just wonderful, especially if options like changing voices were added. Any opinions on this matter? Any brave souls willing to take up this challenge? I know the CK is set to release later this month, but I just can't wait that long. I want Hroki to look like Lightning, and that damn latex mask is just too creepy. Other, suggested ideas to achieve a similar goal: EDIT: Haha, like my redundancy in the subtitle? :hurr:
  8. I have some mods to make my game run better (installed them before I even made a character) and my Shadow Warrior perk doesn't work at all. I have 100 Sneak and all the perks for it, but for whatever reason Shadow Warrior will not activate when I crouch. Not sure if we're having the same problem, but it sounds similar enough.
  9. I've recently installed a mod called something like "Stirk" or "Tamriel Rebuilt" and when I loaded my last save I ended up in some inn at the IC. When I tried to fast travel, the moment it finished loading it said something along the lines of "I cannot go that way. I should head back." This happened no matter how I tried to leave the IC, so I just disabled TR_Stirk.esp and TR_OoT_Main.esm. Problem is, I want to use that mod and don't know how to solve the issues it causes or even what's causing it. Anyone have any ideas about any of this? It would be much appreciated.
  10. Thanks for all the info guys. So I have some questions and comments: 1) How do I know if the game is crashing after I save? 2) I've tried the saveini thing and it didn't do anything 3) I think Streamwhatever might be the problem, so I'll try deactivating that and using my Oblivion.ini backup 4) I don't think that the crashing thing would be the cause since it goes back to default the moment I get out of the in-game menu I'll update this post after doing some more testing. Update: Alright that did the trick, and I've gotten it where I want it. Thanks again for the info and such.
  11. Hi guys, I needs some help from anyone who has some. I was playing Oblivion today after batch installing some mods (most of which I've used before and seemed like perfectly good mods), and I noticed that there wasn't much grass on the floor. I went into my video menu and saw that my sliders had been put in their default setting, instead of being at max. I put them all back where they were supposed to be and went back into the game, but I didn't notice any difference. I went back to the menu again and noticed that they went back to default again. After trying to get it to work about six times, I gave up and went to Google. I searched like 4 versions of the phrase "Oblivion settings won't save." I went through about 8 pages of each search, and the closest thing I could find was an issue where the game would reset it's setting to default every time the game was closed, but I couldn't find my specific problem. Also, this is my first char to get out of the sewers since I reinstalled everything last night, so I didn't notice it until just a few minutes ago and I don't know what's causing it. Some of the mods I'm using are OOO, Midas Magic, Male Body Replacer V5, HGEC V1.21, DarkUI'd DarN, and Streamline (not in that order). If anyone knows an easy way to list all of my active OMODs and esps, lemme know cuz there's like 20 and I don't have the patience for learning how to spell them and then typing them. :P Any and all help will be much appreciated.
