  1. Four Corners to Yuma is an upcoming quest based, story-driven mod focusing on the area of Yuma, Arizona. Created by myself and a friend. It starts with the Courier nearly drowning in the Colorado River and washing up near the city of Yuma. The Legion's presence is heavy in this area and will serve as the mod's major player in the story. Yuma is the last "stronghold" of The Legion before heading into NCR territories of the south and also serves as The Legions primary slave camp, where hundreds of slaves are sent to and from the city each day. The player will be allowed to side with The Legion (bad) or a group of resistance fighters compromised of former legion slaves and members of now-dead tribes (good). This means there are essentially two "paths" the player can make along the story all leading to one of four endings. Most of the storyline has been fleshed out already and some of it story-boarded. Currently I am working on writing out a "script" for the dialogue and quests involved. We intend to add at least another 3 hours of gameplay putting this on-par with some of the current DLC available from Obsidian. Obviously, this is no easy task and will require time to complete, so don't expect a release any time soon. I am trying to keep this as lore-friendly as possible without stepping on anyone's feet, a task of which required great thought and planning. Currently we are beginning the transition from planning to execution. I am capable of doing all (or most) of the actual creation of the mod myself, but would like to stretch my hand out the community. If you would like to lend a hand in any aspect (voice acting, scripting, modeling, anything really) then please feel free to let me know. Currently there are only two of us actually working on this and with more on the team we can (hopefully) get a stable release out within a couple months. If you'd like to volunteer PM me or post in this thread. Features: -Entirely new worldspace to explore and loot -Two primary quest lines, with conflicting interests but intersecting stories -About 3 more hours of gameplay Current Team Members: The Attendee - Project Lead, Writer, Editor, Voice Actor, etc... Screbbin Brikru - Character Design, Voice Actor, Concept Artist Available - Landscaping Designer Available - Scripter Available - Modeler Available - Anything really :P I will keep this thread updated as I continue working on it. Check back for updates!
  2. Plugins that require a master to be loaded before them will "force-load" their masters even if they've been deactivated in FOMM. If you've created a merged patch/plugin that references MOMOD, that will cause the master file to load. If you deactivate that merged patch in addition to the master in question, it should deactivate fully. FOMM has an option to view your saved games and see which mods are installed on a per-save basis. Check your most recent save to see if it's still in the load order. A green save matches FOMM's current load order, while a yellow means the save is loading a mod that isn't active on the current load order. Hope this helps!
  3. I've always thought the ability to prone would be nice. Maybe make you near-invisible to enemies but you move really slow (think MGS). It could also improve accuracy while aiming.
  4. Having a little trouble finding one, but is there a mod that simply increases the amount of ammunition sold by vendors? I've been running out quicker than the vendors can resupply and this would help me tremendously.
  5. Hey there! I'm a big Hunter S. Thompson fan and I have a few suggestions/ideas I'd like to share: - Instead of the Oscar Zeta Acosta character being named Dr. Gonzo, I suggest calling him Carl Lazlo Esquire, the "real-name" he was given in Where the Buffalo Roam. This would be a nice nod to the more knowledgeable fans. This also opens Dr. Gonzo as a character they can "use" to manipulate the player into helping them. - At some point you should enter a hotel room (in The Tops for example) and find it completely trashed with a giant spray-painted Z above the bed. Then later on you should enter a different hotel room (in the ultra-lux) and find that it's been flooded and trashed (just like in Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas: A Savage Journey into the Heart of the American Dream.) - Though drugs are involved, keep in mind Hunter Thompson was not an addict or a junkie. Psychedelics were Mr. Thompson's forte, not narcotics. You should not portray him as strung-out or addled, as he was a man of the sixties, capable of holding his own (if you know what I mean ;) ) - Thompson was a known firearm and explosives enthusiast, so he and his attorney should always be well armed. To the teeth. - Tell me about those goddamn golfshoes! - Savage Henry is a scag baron drug dealer who has cashed his check. Maybe a target (fiend?) for the player character to kill during the quest. - Try to keep it as true to the Fallout lore as possible! Add some Gonzo journalism to the wastes. Don't bring the wastes to Gonzo Journalism. - Expanding on the photography idea: Hunter Thompson was well known for not working well with people hired to work with him. You should definitely be "fired" by him at some point in the quest line. Also, I've acted as a Hunter Thompson-esque character in an independent film, and use his likeness every Halloween. I would love to help with the voice acting (and possibly more, I've dabbled with the GECK) when it comes to it. Contact me via PM if you want to talk this over further.
