  1. Ive been getting similar problems with my game after I installed the memory patch and the allocation tweak. Most of the time it would crash when I load a quick save. But after I boot the game back up. It loads normally.
  2. I'm upgrading my GPU and also thinking about switching my CPU from an AMD FX-4100 to an FX-8350. Assuming I get the FX-8350 and a GTX 780 video card running on 1080p (1920x1080), would this combination be enough to get a smooth and stable fps? (hoping for a 60 framerate with none to very minor drops) What I plan to run my Skyrim with this upgrade includes; all my script heavy mods, 191 actives in total, SMIM (Static Mesh Improvement), 4k textures, and a nice ENB setting. A lot of people are saying Intel is the better choice for a game like Skyrim, I could see their point but at the same time it will cost me a lot more.. So I'm asking around for opinions or advice if I should pull the trigger on upgrading for value now, or dishing out more cash for better performance (which might be something I don't necessarily need?) For those that have FX-8350 does this skyrim.ini tweak work? https://teksyndicate.com/forum/inboxexe/skyrim-fx-8350-multithread-ini-tweaks/145135 Thoughts?
  3. I don't know how it happened but any actor file that I try to view using CK don't show up in the window. Whichever option I tick "Full" or "Head" preview. The window that supposedly loads the actor image into view is greyed out and I can't even see anything or even move my cursor. Even expanding it does not help. Anyone know how to fix this? :(
  4. I had a similar suggestion awhile ago. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/583828-undergarment-as-accessories/ I was thinking in the lines of - having all characters in game equipped with undergarments. That way when you strip them or loot their dead bodies, a script activates and it automatically adds and assigns underwear to the character. =/
  5. Nice! That mod is working fine for me so far. It just doesn't have english strings. The height differences of the races makes the animation awkward at times. But if a mod like this has been done, I'm sure someone out there with talent can expand or make one of their owns.
  6. Here I did a test on timescales: On each of these saves I waited and let the time past 8 days. Keep in mind, I loaded the original save each time I test a new timescale. Original Save - 3,876 kb Save 1, Vanilla default timescale (20), - 3,756 kb Save 2, Timescale set to ( 8 ), - 3,747 kb Save 3, Timescale set to (40,000), saved while timescale was still running - 3,841 kb Save 4, Timescale set to (40,000), saved after changing back to vanilla default ( 20 ) - 3,835 kb I used no mods and de-bloatifiers. It might be different for me since I have my Skyrim on 1.4.27 patch. (I don't want to switch back to 1.5) Try doing the same test as I did and see if you get similar results. File sizes changed back and forth but no significant abnormal jump.
  7. Well I rolled my Skyrim back to 1.4.27 pre patch. I'm going to do some testing with big mods and mess around with the timescale as well. I want to see if this problem is strictly just from 1.5 patch and not 1.4
  8. Well I think most people just don't realize or encounter this problem yet. So there is not as much complaints, compared to grass and green water bugs from patch 1.5.. This is a far more serious issue and we should make Beth more aware of this >.<
  9. yes, or to make new game install the mod and never uninstall and never make update, because some file change name, until the bethesda fit it, or a moddler they can make a small mod they can delete always all the string named file not found and other thing they are relayed to the bad entries... but peharp "Sbire" can say more on this, they can open it whit papyrus, so peharp in this they have a command they can make it fast style "find all" and "not found", or "missing", and delete it and close the save, but i don't know this program... So basically, the fault is poor programming on Beth's side. Ok so correct me if I'm wrong on this. From my understanding, the problem occurs when you uninstall, reinstall, or update mods. Previous mods, leaves unwanted strings and traces causing the save games to "bloat". To quote AngeGardien, a possible/temporary solution to this is start a clean save or a new game. And do not uninstall mods or make updates.. (seems kind of harsh but manageable) It kinda sucks, playing the game with this feeling of constraint. >.<
  10. I'm going to post my findings and progress here. So far, I did a clean uninstall of all my mods from Nexus mod manager. I saved on a new slot and it went down from 41mb > 4mb. (Keep in mind that I haven't rolled back my Skyrim, its still on patch 1.5.26) *Installed Skyrim Monster mod and Occupy Skyrim, then activated my Deadbody + Spawn timers, and Possessive corpse esp. Result: No lag or stuttering. No bloated save either. So my suspicions of those 2 big mods corrupting my saves are false. I'm gonna move over to the essential mods now like Sky UI, Immersive HUD, Better Sorting, Categorized favs etc.. So my re-install plan would go: -Essentials + Interface mods -Global / game changing mods -HD textures and Environmental graphic enhancements -Mods that modify animations -Hair mods -Skin + texture replacers -New armors and weapons Hopefully I'll find whatever it is thats bloating up my saves. It could be something thats not compatible with patch 1.5
  11. Here's a pic of my current load order list: Read order from left to right.
  12. Ahh, I'm having the same problem as you. This only started happening after I updated my Skyrim to version 1.5... I get random 1 second spike lags, happens about every 40 seconds or so. And my save files keep getting larger the longer I play the game. It got to the point where my saving time takes about 10-25 seconds! I tried toning down graphic enhancements mods, tried mods that tones down bloated saves, mods that cuts down on dead body timers, even lowered my shadow settings to virtually none.. and still my game feels broken. (I experimented on a new save game too and this trend also happened with that new character!) The thing is, I shouldn't be even changing anything graphics wise since my pc can handle ultra settings with enb before this 1.5 patch. (I also tried the method suggested by Morwyn and it didn't work) So it looks like I'm gonna have to uninstall and reinstall my mods again, then rollback to Skyrim 1.4.27. Then go from there.. its gonna have to wait till tomorrow since I'm too sleepy x.x and I've already wasted my whole weekend trying to figure out this problem.
  13. Walking and exploring the great wilderness of skyrim. I find monsters to spawn too frequently. Is there a way to lessen this from happening? I'm using Skyrim Monster Mod and Occupy Skyrim, Every minute or so, a critter pops up and engages me in battle >.<; Its not a problem dealing with them... it just gets kind of annoying.
  14. I don't have breezehome in my current lagged save file.. could I do this in a different interior? How would this work? I'll try this out.
  15. My normal save times that usually take 1-3 seconds now takes about 20-30 seconds. >_< I haven't even gone far from the game, its a fairly new file I just finished beating the 1st dragon, and I'm exploring the areas near whiterun. What could be causing this? I don't think its ash piles.. I downloaded the mod that tones that bloated save files. (Possessive corpses) that didn't help. I removed my Superb ENB files, and that still didn't change anything. My save file size is 116mb. I have 206 .esp + .esm files. Major mods noted: Skyrim Monster Mod Duel Jaysus Occupy Skyrim Deadly Dragons Water Total Realism Basic Needs Winter is Coming (set for leveled lists) Glowing Unread books Killmove plus Any help or suggestions? :(
  16. Two handed Katana's should be unsheathed from the side like one handed swords. Is it possible to make a stand alone 1h weapon that uses 2handed animations in combat? There is a katana mod called yamato that has a similar idea, but its full of glitches and possibly abandoned.. To anyone out there that wants to tackle this idea, it'd be greatly appreciated. :)
  17. My Creation Kit female head models looks like this: I had numenume elf ears installed but even after removing it, the problem still exists. And now everytime I try to create or edit a female NPC in CK, they all come out with dark face tints and elf ears. Does anyone know how I can revert my female models back to default? :wallbash:
  18. HOW DID YOU DO THAT!? How did you manage to do that????????? o_O I did what mdmasters said above^. Then I disabled Steam automatic updates. On Steam go to Library > Browse your games, Right Click on Elder Scrolls Skyrim > Properties > Updates tab "Do not automatically update this game" Then click close. And just to be safe, I also went on Steam settings and unchecked "Run Steam when my computer starts". On top left drop down menu again, I choose "Go offline" mode. So now everytime I start Skyrim, Steam doesn't bother me. I'm not gonna be a slave to their bonky patch updates again >.<
  19. I rolled my .exe back to 1.4.27 and everything is all well. I'd rather play an "ok" fixed game, rather than getting crappy new animations and optimizations filled with bugs..
  20. I figured as much. I tried doing the tutorial (link) above to combine custom armor .esps using tesvsnip but no luck. Tested it out and I think there's a step I'm missing.. I read and followed the whole guide and I still got missing textures and meshes showing in game. I'll try CK to the NPC esps and test it out in a bit. Does anyone else have any other suggestions?
  21. Use the CK instead. It's better for this kind of thing. Open up all the esps at once, make one of them the active file. Then save. Everything should have saved onto the file that you marked as active. Thanks for the tip, is it only advised to do this for merging NPC esp? Will this work for multiple armors as well without conflicting Form IDs?
  22. I'm trying to use TESVSnip to do this but I'm not sure how to go about it.. Every tutorial I found by searching has different ways and tools they're using. Its probably something simple, and I'm just being a dummy for not realizing it.. but can anyone please guide me, or teach me how to do it. I have multiple NPC esps from the NPC Editor, and a growing list of UNP armors I want to combine in the future. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=10208 I tried doing this tutorial but it didn't work when I tried to compress about 8-10 custom armors. :yucky: Please help.
  23. This all sounds like good news to me. Keep up the good work!
  24. There actually is one, it was actually from FO3 ported to FNV. However the creator had to restart it from scratch so it is in the beta but still pretty good. (No I have not downloaded it... yet) ;) the name is animated prostitution but to the one who made this request you could message the creator and make a suggestion to add kissing or post a comment. Well I don't know if he's got spare time (if you read his notes on that mod's topic). Actually I prefer more romantic interactions with followers or companions.. rather than the typical smut. Its just part of immersion to me I guess. I know most people prefer the opposite.
  25. Aw nobody else is interested in seeing this feature? I thought Bethsoft would atleast put it in there for the wedding scene. :turned:
