  1. I'm jsut curious what others out there think. I've played both games, and setting aside the fact that Oblivion obviously has better graphics and smoother gameplay features, I still think TES3: Morrowind, Bloodmoon, and Tribunal was/were better in terms of story and setting. TES3 is just far more 'fantastical' than TES4. The events, creatures, and even the cities in Morrowind seem more like they belong in a fantasy novel than what I find in Oblivion. Civilization in Cyrodill bears too much resemblence to the middle-ages in reality. I guess the Shivering Isles was meant to spice up the setting a bit, but even still, the Isles are a seperate world from Cyrodill. The Shivering Isles in its own right is extremely fantastical by its very nature (I probably spend more time there than I do in Cyrodill) Would anyone else like to elaborate on their thoughts about the settings of each game?
  2. In the game Morrowind, the world in which you play is a massive island. From my vague memory of the game, having played it so long ago, Vvardenfell and Morrowind were interchangable names for this island. If that is the case (which I don't quite think it is), how is it possible that one of the areas bordering Cyrodill be called Morrowind?
  3. The mod is freakn awesome, I love it, but there are some issues with it. Alot of the items are missing one thing or the other. For instance, Cured Leather Curiass works perfectly fine; It appears in bandit's loot, has an inventory icon, and displays correctly on character. However there are alot of items which appear in inventory, but lack an icon, and just make the body parts which they are equipped to disappear. I've installed the additional meshes and textures, so I'm not sure what could be the issue, anyone know? [[An unrelated question: Were there supposed to be alot of wolves in Crowhaven (The castle for the Grey Prince's quest)? I expected skeletons. Maybe the spawn list has an error in it too.]]
  4. Well the odd thing was, that at first, it was only North of Bruma, then it was only the Niben Lake are, and then it was everything. Each time I restarted the game the crash spread. But my problem is fixed now (sorta). I just deactivated all my mods and omods and then reactivated them and now it doesn't crash anymore on exterior cells. Now it just randomly crashes after about an hour of play (actually, thats only happened like once, so I'm not sure if its a real bug), but its fine when I restart the game, I can live with that. :)
  5. Alright, I've tried to grin and bear it, but after 3 reinstalls I think its time I appealed for a little help. Okay, so let me describe my problem; It started with a crash once I had finished talking to Haskil as I went to the Shivering Isles. I thought nothing of it so I loaded which I saved from inside Bravil, then I fast travelled to the stables, and I crashed upon arrival. After a few more attempts I figured out that any where I went outside of a city would crash the game, so I reinstalled it and a fewer amount of mods (getting rid of some frivilous things as well as any mod which might alter the exterior terrain or textures). I began playing the game again, everything seemed to be fine. I went to Bruma and headed east. As soon as I got to a point where the game began loading objects within close proximity to me, it crashed. I tried again and again, same problem. So there I tried fast travelling to the Bravil stables again, and I crashed once it stopped loading. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated. I really love this game, and there are some really amazing mods out there. Like I said, I haven't installed anything that would effect the terrain, so I don't understand why this is happeneing. regardless, here's a list of all the mods I'm useing: 24HrArenaAlive AliveWaters Alternate Start Revamped AutoBookPlacer BrotherhoodRenewed All of the DLC except Battlehorn Castle, Frostcrag, Knights and Vile Lair (gotta love Steam specials ^_^) DMCWeapons Dread Knight Armor (Only the weapons addon, I hate heavy armor) Extra Robe Pack Faster Spells Franceso's mega mod Harvest Flora (SI) Harvest Containers KatanasMod Moonshadow Elves Oblivion Citadel Door Fix Quest Award Leveller (Mehrunes Razor) Ranokoas Organized Potions ShadowfangKeep The Lost Spires Unofficial Oblivion Patch Again, any help would be greatly apprecitated EDIT: Also, I use OBMM
  6. This isn't so much a mod request as it is a "What mods do I need to do this?" Here is a pic which I found in the images of "A Salutrian Elven Race" mod http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/21732-1-1248229131.jpg What mods do I need to make a male character like the one in that picture? The default face looks NOTHING like that, its all Chibi-ish and annoying looking. The poster suggested various mods to accompany his own, but none of them allowed me to make a character like that. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated
  7. Anyone know of any good dual weapons mod in the works? Either a mod that has a pair of blades as 1 item, or a mod that allows you to equip 2 different weapons in either hands (that latter seems liek it would be more difficult but would be much more preferable)
  8. Wait, so if I use this mod, Caddis doesn't appear at all? (that was sorta the point of changing his color, the caddis jsut looks stupid) I could just turn him into Witherfang with the console command (which never actually occured to me) and call it a day >_< or am I not understanding something?
  9. Sorry to make 2 requests in 1 days, but this one is a little more practical than my last one. Would someone please make a mod that allows an Arcane Warrior (or at the least all mages) to cast spells without having to put away their weapon(s). The whole idea of becoming an Arcane Warrior was to fight with weapons and spells at the same time, so it seems rather annoying that you must sheathe them inorder to cast most spells. Certain spells (Such as Arcane Missile and the Glyphs) do not require the mage to put their weapons away, comparing the scripting of those spells to other spells such as Flame Blast or Drain Life might be a good starting point.
  10. My mod request is simple. Could someone please change the color of the Mabari hound party member to black. I've seen black hounds through out the game, so there must be a texture for it somewhere. I've done quite a bit of searching but still have been unable to find a mod which does this. It seems like it'd be a rather simple task, considering it would just be a texture swap.
