Your example is the reason why I play single player and have ditched multiplayer. Everyone there is either a hacker or 13 year old. I'm surprised that you still play multiplayer after all this time. My advice, ditch multiplayer and head for single as Activision only care for your $$$ not your support.
Pretty much what I was thinking.
The only times I'll play multiplayer is if it's a fun Halo 3 custom game like "Fat Kid - Get to China", or "Omega Journey".

I think the Bethesda chose STEAM as they wanted their game to be more secure from piracy, just a thought, I haven't really looked into NV yet though.

I'm having a slight problem with NIFSkope. Basically, I wanted an ebony armor display, so I opened Meshes\Clutter\armordumby.nif for the Armor stand, I then opened Meshes\Armor\Ebony\M\Cuirass.nif for the armor.
On the armordumby.nif I added an extra "Num Child" so I could import the Ebony Cuirass. I clicked on the actual cuirass in the cuirass.nif, (not the pauldrons or arm) and in the block list right-clicked the branch and pressed "copy", now I opened the armordumby again and tried inserting the branch into the extra num child I created but I get an error saying "Failed to map parent link NiNode|Scene root." What am I doing wrong? I'm not so good with nifskope.
Also, is it not possible to have NiTriStrips and Shapes in the same NIF file? Or do I have to convert one of them?

I don't know what I pressed but now in the CS I can't select objects in the render window. I click them but nothing happens. I tried reinstalling but had no luck. What do I do to fix this?

EDIT: It only happens in my own, custom cell. It was working fine for a while but I misclicked something and now I can select anything, dragging a square allows me to select objects but I can't drag or rotate them.

Okay, I have been playing Oblivion for a wile now and used ALLOT of mods
But after this summer vacation I decided to reinstall and remove all mods.
And here is the question, I have use allot of different mods, but it ends up very messy after a while, and I try to use those mods that is going to stop the game from crashing all the time but I never find the right one. So now I wanna ask you guys about whats the best combo of graphic mods and mods that will make the game run smoother all that crap
I have a high end computer so no worries there, but all help will be a great comfort ;)
You could try making a few adjustments in your ini file, or normal graphic settings if you want a better framerate. If you want some graphic enhancing mods I'd recommend quarls texture pack, natural environments and one of the many water enhancing mods to suit your taste.

Remove the branch and start over again.
Click on the main root node and from the Veiw menu select "Block Details"
Scroll down in the Block Details box to where it says "Num Children"
Increnent "Num Children" by one or more; Do this by Double-Clicking on the number first, then incrementing
Right-Click on the line below it, "Children" A submenu "Array" is displayed. Select "Update Array"
Now click on the "+" next to "Children" to expand it
Scroll down this list to the bottom; you will see a Blank line
THIS is where you insert your new Branch.

I've inserted a branch into NIFskope (A mask onto a hood) and transformed it into place but when I load up the game only the vanilla hood will show, with no face mask attached. What adjustment do I need to make so that the mask will show up?

Well it's already possible to change saves on the computer (thanks to the new USB compatibility on Xbox 360s), and we're able to change our characters, change stuff like spells, and I've even seen software that allows you to change your inventory. I just needed to know how I can alter this item.
But this is a PC modding area, so I guess I'm in the wrong place. Thanks anyway.
By the way, I think if you're wearing unplayable armor it will unequip itself or just disappear once you put it into play. PC is the superior gaming system so I suggest you stick with it ;)

Hi there, I just recently gained access to the testhall on my xbox 360 (using
method), and I was wondering, since I'm able to alter certain saves, could I also change the status of certain items? For example, I'm in a cell with the imperial legion armor, however, the armor is obviously not playable and does not show up in my inventory. Is there a way I could change my save in order to make the armor usable? I obviously don't want to have to flash my xbox, just alter the saves.Thanks in advance
Short answer: Not possible.
Long answer: Sorry, but modding the xbox version of Oblivion has been discussed time after time and it just isn't possible. People say that if you're quite the brain box (well, really brainy) it's possible to modify your 360 to import mods, but I doubt it very much. Importing saves may be possible, if you were to somehow put it onto your computer and modify it (or import a PC save) it might work, but I haven't got the foggiest on how to go about that...
I suggest playing the good old computer version.

This website HERE was pretty useful for me when I first started modding. Although this website focuses on the oblivion construction set, the morrowind construction set isn't that different.

FOSE is for Fallout. OBSE doesn't eliminate the disk check, if that's the thing you meant.
I'd personally recommend you buy the GOTY edition--my old disk got played to death too, so that's what I did. :)
Ah, thats the thing, it was a GOTY edition :/
I've saved a bit of money so I may as well purchase another one, and maybe the collectors edition in time.

By the way, I think uploading vanilla work is against the rules (unless it's some sort of modified version?), I think it comes under piracy like how uploading DLC's is regarded as piracy.

Deleting your account wasn't going to happen...and banning it would have keep you from making another with the same characters. There was nothing else I could do other than change the case. However, you were lucky enough that I was in the middle of a server install...which spins its own wheels for 20 minutes or so. So this is officially the 1st rename I have done this year. :thumbsup:
As for any others out there reading this, don't get any ideas. It was pure luck I was caught up on my daily tasks. I'll probably say no to the next 3 requests just because I did this one. :ninja:

We typically do not delete accounts. We normally just ban the account which locks it from being used. If we deleted an account, sure anyone would be able to create the exact same account name and the email address that was associated to the old account could be re-used to create yet another account (which is another reason why we ban...keeps people from registering with the same email address)

I was wondering if you (or any other Admin) aren't too busy could delete my account? I'd like a fresh, new start and the chance to adjust my username (xiiROSS). I've backed my mods and signature up. It doesn't matter if you don't want to, just something I would very much like :biggrin:

I was just wondering if when you ban or delete an account ALL of its data and information is gone with it? Also, if someone with the username "Apple" was banned or deleted, could somebody else make a new account with the username "Apple" as there's no record of it?

So I turned on my computer for a bit of oblivion only to find my disc is cracked from the middle outwards, about 2 and a half inches. Now my computer wont read the disc so I can't play because the launcher can't validate it so now I'm pretty much stuck. Is there anyway I can play Oblivion without the disc? (No CD cracks are counted as piracy.) Or will I have to just buy a new copy? (I was thinking of getting the collectors edition for quite some time.)

Could somebody possibly make a scream mask? It's worn by the killer in the movie horror movie scream.
There's a picture of it Here. It might be pretty easy to make as it doesn't require much texturing or meshing skills.
Kudos will be rewarded to anyone who could do this.
