Oblivion is a naturally unstable game. Odds are it was a random crash that you can expect. Unless it happens multiple times I wouldn't pay too much attention to it. Just save copiously and you should be fine.

I've had this idea in my head for a while now. I want to be able to equip my bow with a script attached to it that will equip a stack of specified ammo when I equip the bow. I've tried writing a few of my own scripts but the equipitem function only equips a maximum of one item from a stack. I was wondering if maybe I am using the function incorrectly (I'm relatively new at writing a script from scratch) or if there is another function I could use for the desired effect.

The Real High Heels mod was causing it to pop up. I never investigated as to why it was causing it, I just uninstalled it.

I've been having a weird issue with the console. Whenever I open it i see the word "picked" repeated over and over. I've noticed that the word appearing also prevents me from equipping/uneqipping, swinging, shooting a bow and a multitude of other things when those actions are attempted at the same time a new "picked" pops up. I'm not sure what causes this so any help would be greatly appreciated.
