I have the same problem. I unchecked a phantom horse mod I made, loaded my game, got the message about it relying on custom content that isn't present, quit the game, re-checked the mod, re-loaded the game and now I'm stuck in vanity view mode, I can't even turn my character, and it's for all my saves. :( I'm worried that some crucial animation was overwritten or something. :(
