  1. Maybe he got lost and was wandering the uncharted Kokari Wilds.
  2. Most of the qq about the Sheaperdizing of the protagonist and many features from ME2 like the wheel being used is what's upsetting the people on the Bioware forums. I personally after reading many many posts on that matter and pretty much all them having David Gaider coming in saying "wait and see how we are implementing the damn thing before you judge it as it will be used differently than in ME.". I'm also glad to hear that Brokenenergy that a dlc will be the ending of our Warden as it shall be a nice good bye for that part of Dragon Age. I feel that while we can discuss speculation all we want on here and on Bioware forums, but we don't know how they're taking the new stuff and implementing it in so no reason to be upset and punch babies yet folks. I think they are trying to hybrid it personally trying to get the best of both franchises in one game, but I'll admit I have yet dare to try ME series as sci-fi-ish stuff doesn't really interest me much though my friend has said he loved both and thinks they're great games. I have also attempted to watch JosefvStalin's LP's of his Mass Effect 1 & 2 and still nothing made want to try it. Now reading that all this stuff from Mass Effect is coming into DA2 I still welcome it and hope they're going to do right and won't judge their decision to do so until I see some actual gameplay. I like to stress that some more folks keep in mind that really there's nothing to judge about this game yet and you're just burning yourself up and possibly frustrating yourself over something that might be a good change to the game.
  3. We'll just have to sit back and wait for more information.
  4. You make it sound like the blight lasted longer than it did,but that's not the case only a few months at most and that leaves for a lot of years left in the game. While we don't know how long it takes for an old god to grow, but with Flemeth's return I'm sure there will be that kind of action of Morrigan v.s. Flemeth. Supposedly DA:O takes two years from start to finish. The character's walk for at least six months just getting from place to place. You still have about 8 years left though but having an adult version of Morrigan's Baby in that time is a bit of a stretch; would be painful to the jr. abomination as well (if it feels pain.) Where does it say that the story is 2 years? A year at most I think considering a days march of an army from Redcliffe to Denerim. While I agree even at most 9 years being a sort of stretch for growing up there's no reason they can write it in that way if they wan't to. Ok. I'll explain more. According to the devs, the story of Hawke spans 10 years with the blight within it (hence why we can port our choices from DA). That means Hawke was already an adult during the blight and moved north to become the champion of Kirkwall. Also it rules out the possibilities of playing Morrigan or the OGB since they will be somewhere far away from civilization during the events of DA2. Which means the lady on the pic is either Flemeth (it has been confirmed to return for DA2) or someone we all know but will be shocked later on. So sorry Morrigan fans, we all have to wait and see what BW has in store for her. I understood what you were saying, but you make it seem from what you're writing and my reading comprehension that just because something is happening in the first part of the game to a character it hinders their appearance later on. I understand the Blight lasts a year or so,but the Free Marches isn't exactly a far place from Ferelden especially if you go by sea. I would also like to point out a while back both Kate Mulgrew and Claudia Black were being hired for some more voice acting for Bioware. We know now that Flemeth is returning, but Morrigan is up in the air still and the fact that she is being used again can easily infer at least some return of her character possibly in near future so I wouldn't say she won't be back just yet.

  7. If you look closely it makes the same resemblance to the horns of the dragon behind her.
  8. We have to remember this is not Warden Age either it's a tale about the Dragon Age meaning yes a new character is appropriate, but don't get me wrong I liked my Warden and wanted to have him return too. That part of the story is over and now it's time to move on,but I hope they allow some info transfer from Origins to make the background so as the franchise expands it's a real story that is continues no matter the protagonist, but they'll probably just cannon it. I am hoping for a dlc though that connects to Morrigan and if she is in the next game and use it to bridge the two games. Apparently Flemeth is back too! so she might be that woman on the cover.
  9. !!! I feel like that he was being a little sarcastic in the shock effect of things, but maybe it won't be shocking at all,or it will totally blow our minds. It will be interesting to find out who she is and what is her purpose. Well the blight doesn't last long it,and in fact I believe it's Lelliana who says it has been mostly some weeks time meaning plenty of time for the god-child to grow up considering we don't know how fast that it can grow, but saying that it ages like a human would be a little bleh.
  10. Really interesting thread over on the Bioware forums was started about the white haired woman on the cover's art. http://na.llnet.bioware.cdn.ea.com/u/f/eagames/bioware/dragonage2/announce/background-01.jpg http://media1.gameinformer.com/imagefeed/featured/gameinformer/covers/dragonagecoverspread.jpg Chris Priestly was quoted saying "When you learn who this is, you will be shocked. SHOCKED, I TELL YOU!!!But I can say no more." I deiced to bring this to the Nexus for further discussion and interested on what you all have to say about her. I'll start by saying she has an obvious connection with the Dragon behind her as she has the same horn look in her hair.
  11. Hawke is your last name therefore it allows you to pick your first name of either gender. I understand the possible let down in not having the warden once more, but maybe a post I made a long time ago in a thread why it is called Dragon Age:Origins."While I feel my Warden's tale is not over and needs some closure, but we need to be ready to face that maybe in grand scheme our Warden is just one of many protagonists to come. Imo I feel that Morrigan is really the only other character with her "loop hole" that really progresses the story and sets the stage for what is beyond the "Origin"/"Begging" of an epic story that will from chain events have a real major impact. ". The Fade theory you have dan is pretty interesting and I never thought of another big fade deal, despite me having hatred for the place. With an apparent decades time we're going to have I expect more grander things ontop of that theory. Edit: Seems like it is to the Free Marches we go folks, and now our is to become a champion of Kirkwall. It is an interesting turn of events and really goes with the feel of what I said above that it will be a grand tale of great events that cover the age of the Dragon.I will also like to note it feels like some good character development and a very promising game already.
  12. Umm...considering she headed west out of Orlais she could make appearance,or child might kinda hard to tell knowing little to nothing besides not being in Fereldan and new hero can't speculate too much now. Although as 8/17/10 comes closer we should know more to be able to do some kind of speculating, but I can see her fitting into the continuous plot or Bioware will totally not use it and totally make a lot of people mad saying they did it for the lols.
  13. It was confirmed by David Gaider on the Bioware forums that Hawke is indeed your last name, and you can choose either Male or Female. I also agree with pretty much the above, but I never really cared for a voiced pc because I'm the one creating and shaping him at my own will so I always read aloud myself the stuff as it is me not some actor playing. I am really interested which country it will be in next,or will we be able to cover more than one. By the description of the "seal your place in history" was really close to what I was thinking if a non warden return took place that this thing is going to be a big epic tale and the Warden is only the beginning of it all. Edit: source here http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/141/index/3052363/2
  14. It was pretty decent, but then again I never really cared for Leliana too much. It is an awesome backstory about her life with Morjaline and definitely worth the money for me despite not really caring for her character before, but now after playing through it I have a new opinion of her.
  15. What I meant by this is simply that Good and Evil are personal views on things and not a 100% true all around from every angle. The reason why I brought up Arthas during his Culling of Stratholme is a prime example of this very thing of stated above. You say that not helping defend Redcliffe is the Evil and bad thing to do,but doing something is the right thing to do. This is where the Arthas thing comes right into play is he is taking action to quell it before it gets further out of control which makes it good according to you. This is however the case he is later just resented and labeled a monster for doing something thought right and best course of action by everyone later on. This is why I say Good and Evil are not the right words to use with a character that is complex as such. This is why it is mere perception and not a truth, but if it was a truth everyone would be saying she is evil this is however not the case as the opinions of her vary so,but this is the last I will say on such as this is not a debate on what Good & Evil is and it being personal views. After all this is opinions of Morrigan thread and not a discussion of her character thread no matter how interesting it can be at times.
