  1. I agree, even if it was two generations older you would still be able to handle the game on high settings. I remember playing it on HD5850 on the highest settings and heavily modded, no issues whatsoever. Now I'm on HD7950 and I got massive mouse input lag and fps drops inside buildings. After some intensive testing I found out that the only way to remove the problem is to turn off HDR in game launcher, which is bullshit, because the game looks far worse to me like that. I suggest you try it as well and check how it performs, even though our problems are probably not exactly the same.
  2. Can you be more exact on where does the fps drop happen? You look at a certain object, npc or something else? Does it happen both outdoor and indoor ? I'm asking because I myself have some issues that might be somewhat related and I'm still working on fixing it.
  3. Hello, I recently installed FO:New Vegas after a few years of not playing it. Saw some great new mods, so I decided to do a fresh modded playthrough. I used nexus mod manager, got around 80 plugins and everything seemed fine. Good fps all around, smooth gameplay with stutter remover + 4GB patch etc. HOWEVER, things started to change soon as I first noticed some weird mouse input lag and massive fps drop when I entered the shack located behind the robot in goodsprings. Than I went back to doc mitchel house, and had the same thing happening around the area where he gives you the tests at the start of the game to check your traits (The place between the couch and 2 windows). Massive drops around that place, and when I turn around it goes back to normal. So I started uninstalling mods to check what was causing this, spent a lot of time only to find out that mods had nothing to do with it. This morning I did a clean reinstall of the game, got rid of everything besides the expansions that come with ultimate edition, started up the game, went to that place in doc's house - same thing happenes. Now as far as I can remember, back in 2011 when I first played the game, this never happened, but it wasn't the same hardware. I used HD5850, and now I'm on HD7950. The other thing is the samsung SSD that I'm using now, and it was a regular HDD then. The rest of my specs are an i5 3570k and 8GB of ram. I'm running Windows 7. I also tried reverting to older version of GPU drivers but it didn't help. I play some other games and never had this kind of issue, though I don't have any other games using the same engine as new vegas. I'm out of ideas, and kindly asking for help and suggestions from anyone that has experience in this kind of stuff or had similar issues. Thank you!
