+1 I don't really deal with audio, but I cannot disagree with the need to replace some of the cringeworthy bard performances.

@emmingerl Also after you overwrite with new F4SE version, open Fallout4/Data/F4SE/plugins folder to see what mods are dependent. Check for updates (looks menu is f4ee in the plugins folder) The usual culprits for update are MCM Looks Menu Extended dialogue interface Place Everywhere. Hope this helps.

@emmingerl Extract f4se to loose folder, inside you will see a src folder, a data folder, and the f4se loose files. Check your FO4 root folder to see if you have a src folder. If so delete it. Then copy over the loose files and data folder to your game root and overwrite when asked.

F4SE released another update with a crash fix. v0.6.15 (v0.6.14 was the one that dropped immediately after steam update Dec.6th). I deleted everything in my FO4 root folder (not data) and then installed the newest version. Game save loaded from f4se launcher for me just now, will see if it keeps working.

Went in and checked my file structure on my C:drive. Win 10 had set my entire users folder (where game saves reside) to read only. Still didn't fix the problem but good to know, one more thing off the checklist.

I am thinking that if I just present my receipt for FO76 to Bethesda, they might give me the magic code that allows me to play FO4 again.

  I've downloaded the new F4SE and my game crashes upon trying to load a save game, even with ALL mods disabled. I've tried loading various savegames in case of savegame corruption but the game still crashes upon loading saves. I can start the game without F4SE both in Steam and NMM. So something is going on that I don't understand. Same, totally borked. Tried various saves all the way back to start. No dice, every save crashes. Deleted all saves, updated everything, verified and fixed files. Started fresh and the problem persists, my fresh savegame wont load either. So pissed right now.

I use NMM and I am having the exact same problem after latest update. Everything was perfectly stable and boom...Bethesda broke it. Have updated f4se and all dependents, verified files (18 failed to validate...redownloaded), deleted all saves for fresh start. Was able to start game, create character, save as always. Saves still wont load! Going to try with no f4se mods next [which is awful]...if that doesn't do it I'll try with no mods at all.

Any fix yet, This just happened to me. 1000+ hours in this game with an XBOX one controller and no problems. I went to play last night after not playing for a couple weeks and the controller has no functionality. Thought it was the controller I was using as it is an aftermarket P.O.S from Walmart. So I went and purchased a new XBOX controller and have the same result, controller functionality is now non-existent. PC/Windows 10 recognizes the controller but Fallout 4 does not. Really frustrating that every time the game updates, something else breaks.

gunslinger, I have the same problem. All I want to do is make a 'Drinking Buddy' type vendor to hangout at Starlight. I found one tutorial by Seddon but he runs through it so quickly that I cant even follow it no matter how many times I pause. Its so damn frustrating.

I seem to have found the mod that was messing with my game. Turns out it was an incompatible version of JC Bikini never-nude replacer for CBBE. I would not have guessed a single texture replacer could cause so much havoc after game launch, and only disabled that mod on a whim when I got a CTD while looting a raider I had just eviscerated. Crashed as soon as I grabbed the harness she was carrying. All of the massive texture overhaul, ENB, environment mods, and modded crafting system were all good. A stupid pair of undies to replace the vanilla granny panties was my downfall, go figure. Played for 4 hours now without CTD on fast travel, or anywhere.
