  1. I'm having the same problem. Some of my active quests have gone and with each passing hour or two of gameplay another completed quest will also disappear from my quests list. Does anyone know what causes this or have any idea for a solution. At this rate my quests list will be empty before too long !

  3. IIt was working for me too yesterday but I just got home now and it's the same as before. The download won't even start , no matter which server I pick :-(
  4. Downloading with the download manager seems to work okay for me now but if I want to do it manually , no file works at all for either internet explorer or firefox. Some mods don't have a download with manager option so I can't get the mod at all :-(
  5. I've been trying for the past hour and I can't download any Skyrim mods at all. It was working fine yesterday ? I've tried using two different computers , one running internet explorer and the other running firefox and the downloads just don't start. I'll get the message saying that my file is being transferred ready for downloading and nothing happens , no matter how long I wait.
  6. I have the same problem as you do with this mod :-( Did you manage to find a fix or work out what the cause is ? I assume it is a mesh error ?
  7. I get this exact message too and don't know what is causing it ?? I'm assuming (and hoping) that it's just a bug with the creation kit ?
  8. I wish to thank you Goranga for all of the hours that you have spent so far on this mod and you are to be commended for not wanting to release it until YOU are happy with it and it's stable. A lot of modders would have rushed out something by now , complete with bugs. I'm really looking forward to seeing this but I'm patient and the mod will be ready when it's ready :-) Cheers !!
  9. I would like to edit a mod that I downloaded (for my own personal use). It's basically a coat and gloves but I just want the gloves. I've got blender with the nif scripts added and nifskope but they're a bit overwhelming. Is there a really quick and easy way to remove everything except the gloves or is it going to be pretty complex and need a tutorial ? Any help would be very much appreciated , even if it's just to point me at a site with a tutorial on how to do something like this. Thanks in advance !
  10. After a bit of tinkering I've got most of it to work , the only thing I'm having problems with now is squad management. I'll assign someone to a squad but instead of leading they just say they'll join it and then they stop where they are. If I assign them to bodyguard someone they keep following me instead. The quest map markers for the squads don't work either.
  11. I downloaded the newest Companion Share and recruit mod as I thought that it looked great. I've run into heaps of trouble with it though :-( I get asked at the start which key to select and it accepts it , adds a 'call companion' spell and that's it. The key that I selected does absolutely nothing , I get no leadership journal and I thought there was meant to be a quest reference too ? I tried using it on a fresh save and selecting a different key but no luck. I also typed out 'startquest aaakeyinitialise' into the console and absolutely nothing happens ? I'm running it with the newest OBSE version (v18) Anyone have any ideas why the command key won't work and I have no leadership journal ?
  12. Thanks for the reply ! I downloaded Tes4Gecko and followed all of the instructions but I get the message 'could not create the Java virtual machine' when I try and run the shortcut. I have Vista 32 and the newest version of Java so I don't know what else to do to get it working ? Edit: I just got it working and removed the dependency and it's all good now - thanks :-)
  13. I was using the construction set and accidentally saved a plugin while a master file was loaded. Now it's dependent on that and I don't know how to remove it. I removed the item that I was working on at the time thinking that would fix it but it didn't. I downloaded TES4EDIT but I'm not sure how to find what in particular is referencing the master file ? Maybe it just needs the master file removing from the file header but I'm not sure how to do that either :-( I just want to remove a mod but can't now because of the dependency issue. Can anyone help ?
  14. I'm really hoping that someone can help me here. When it asks me to select an order key I do so and it confirms it. The trouble is that whatever key I use doesn't work and I have no leadership journal. The actual menu options like aggression , loot , etc are all there but I can't give orders. Any ideas why I have no leadership journal and the order key won't work ? I am running OBSE v18 by the way.

  16. I've made a custom summon spell for one of my NPC's and I can't get it to appear in the game , let alone test to see if it works or not. I tried making it a lesser power and then a spell hoping it would appear in my spell list when loading up a game but that would have been too easy :-) In the TES Construction set I dragged the spell from the spell list to Edgar's inventory so I could purchase it from him but that doesn't work. I then got it's form ID from the Construction set and tried to add it with the console. I typed out Player.Addspell 0200D7EA and it comes up with item '0200D7EA' not found for parameter spell item. The spell has a spell effect script which I saved as part of the active plugin i've been working with and that plugin is loaded in the game. I'm either doing something really stupid or something REALLY stupid :-(
  17. Thanks heaps for all of the info ! I'll have a look at that vanilla healing npc that you mentioned and see how it all works. I'll try and figure out the automatic healing scripting. After having a bit of a go at a simple NPC companion , it makes me realize how complex the proper companion mods are. SO much work !!

Although I have the CM Companion mod , I just wanted to try and make a simple one of my own with the bare mimimum of functions :-) I didn't realize though that the answer to my problem could be resolved as simply as just changing her class to healer. I told you I was new at this :D
  19. I'm very new to Oblivion but have made a couple of very basic NPC's. One of them I wish to follow me , offer services (like buying and selling) , follow me and heal me as necessary. I've accomplished everything except the healing part. I used the 'Teach spell' mod and taught her two healing spells , one for herself and another one which I weas hoping she would use on me when needed. It was the 'Lesser Heal Companion' spell but she basically watches me die and doesn't use it. She heals herself though no problems (that's what I call selfish ! lol !) I realize now that there must be some sort of AI package or script or both that's needed to get her to heal me so I was wondering if anyone could either tell me how to accomplish this or to point me in the right direction with a link. I've been searching for tutorials , etc for over an hour but can't find anything related to getting an NPC to automatically cast a healing spell on me. Hope someone can help !
  20. I don't know how to change the topic heading so I couldn't edit it and change Vlothing to 'CLOTHING' lol !! Hello :-) I am wondering if anyone could possibly make some clothing accessories for the BAB body , specifically socks , gloves or leggings that look like they are wool or similar. I downloaded a sweater mod and that's great and Lexton's assorted BAB clothing here : http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23000 has some great socks and leggings. I am wondering if anyone could make some long socks , long gloves or leggings / legwarmers using textures that looked ribbed or wool , etc ? Even some sweaters would be nice :-) Thanks in advance !
