bug: 1st person camera turn
lunatech666 replied to lunatech666's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Troubleshooting
Yeah, gaming laptops seem to get outdated so much more quickly than desktop because they are so much weaker, the newest stuff is always just good enough. I bought my dell M15x with a GT 240m in it, but that was pretty weak, I have upgraded GPU like 4 times now lol. Currently have a HD7970m, so like 1/4 as much GPU power as ur rig XD. -

Can't beleive anybody would spend 8k on a rig... I might get an SSD but anything larger than 128gb for 2.5 inch gets pretty pricy. Maybe I will get an SSD for the comp and have my old HDD in an external. -

That my friend, is a Holy Load Order. I can't even imagine finding and downloading all those mods. Not to mention I doubt they would run on my 2010 gaming notebook. BTW I made a new game, this time trying hardcore, and it seems like fewer crashes. As you said, my old save was probably just too screwed up lol. Looking at your system, thats just some crazy s*** man. I only have 320 GB HD and you have 480 GB just of games lmao. I think I really need either a new drive or an external one though, this thing is getting plugged up. As for the game, I think you have solved all my problems, single handedly. Got to hand it to you, I thought my new vegas time was coming to a close, but it seems its just beginning. :) -

Well I did not know that a rotten save could cause problems, I actually thought that when you make a new Save it is completely clean. And I also didn't know about ram needing to buffer, to fix that do you just restart the game or the whole OS? I'll try a new game and also restarting to see if I can make a difference. I would offer to send you my data folder, but I don't really know where I can upload 15 GB. -

Actually I already had the stutter remover and I did install the 4GB patch, but no noticeable difference from the 4GB. Unless you have a nother idea, I guess there is nothing we can do about the frequent crashes. -

Hey the game seems good, except I am noticing it definitely crashes a lot. Freezing in the middle of playing, and Freezing while loading. Did you mention a 4 GB patch before? I looked it up and I'll try it, but I'm pretty sure I used one for 3 GB a while ago. Looking in the resource monitor it says it only uses 4 GB of 8 GB while playing FNV, maybe its capping it. -

Alright if that works that will be great, but its not in the grab bag because that just has WMX-Arwen realism, WMX-FOOKNV CP, WMX-FOOKNV-DLC, and WMX-shotguncommando. Hey I just used the steam verify again, and didnt even mess with mods before trying the game after that, and IT WORKED! There wasn't even THE CAMERA GLITCH. Now, as it worked once before, I can't be certain it will work again, but Im going to try to install some new mods now. Got them all waitin in NMM :). It seems that it is working perfectly now, besides occasional crashes, which seems to be a standard in bethesda games for me. I installed FOOK, and some new weapons. I really like one mod called AEVegas, adds some heavy .50MG cannons. -

Really? 31 is the ADAM I was telling you about the one for Lonesome Road. I don't think I need that to play the game I think its just to mod riot gear, but I will look at it in FNVedit if I know how to work that lol. Otherwise I'll try disabling that and PPSH and ill see if its better. edit: I deselected the PPSH mod as well as # 31, and then made a new merged patch. It made the patch, but it gave a different error code: [01009E6A] <Error: Could not be resolved> [01013FF0] <Error: Could not be resolved> [01013FF0] <Error: Could not be resolved> [01013FF0] <Error: Could not be resolved> [01013FF0] <Error: Could not be resolved> Error: Can't merge faulty ordered list aaaMod02OrderedList [FLST:2F002A92] It says its a list is there a way I can find that list and fix it? U know this main menu crash is really starting to bug me... -

Actually I was just able to play it for a minute that time I mentioned and since then ive been tweaking the game and I just tried to play it and had the same damn error where it froze at the main menu. What I did before that was add the AG sup mod, Mail Order Catalogs mod, with WMX support, and change my load order a lot and make a new merge esp using NVEdit and then I launched it and it didnt work. BTW If I launch from NMM do you think it will launch the NVSE version? In the past I always just use the NMM launcher but I realize NVSE says to launch using the NVSE program. Im also downloading FOOK but I dont plan on implementing any new mods until I get the freeze figured out. BTW when I did the NVedit it showed no errors when I loaded it up but after I made the merge it showed like 5 errors and said they were unexplained. And do you know what a file called 1 Camon PPSH.esp is? I don't remember installing a mod called anything like that and it has no author. All I know is it was conflicting. Edit: In fact I'll tell you exactly what FNVEdit says. [01009E6A] <Error: Could not be resolved> [01013FF0] <Error: Could not be resolved> [01013FF0] <Error: Could not be resolved> [01013FF0] <Error: Could not be resolved> [01013FF0] <Error: Could not be resolved> Error: Can't merge faulty ordered list aaaMod02OrderedList [FLST:31002A92] -

Oh, I didn't know there were more WMX patches to download, ill go get them. I have to rebuild the patch anyway because I just installed AG sup weaps again, ugh took like 30 minutes. The cannabis mod, I have to admit one of my favorites easily. It adds not only fabulous cannabis meshes of 3 strains that you can grow youself, but lore friendly grow rooms, cannabis shops, and even edibles, and smokables. Not to mention the positive visual and stat effects. Heres the link: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/38264 -

No I did not delete the Data folder I only ran the verify to see if it would fix the issue. Now Im going to try what you said delete the inis. Also, I put all the KFs back into their places right after I removed them, and the problem persisted. What is weird though is that after I deleted the animated prostitution mod using NMM, there were still folders filled with sex KFs in my data folder ??? I guess NMM is not very efficient uninstaller. Just incase it matters, It turns out ive been running NVSE 1.4 fr a long time, I think im going to upgrade right now. Edit: I just did what you said and was able to run the game and play it for the first time since this morning, and Im trying to figure out how to copy a load order... -

lunatech666 replied to lunatech666's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Troubleshooting
So I uninstalled everything relating to WME, and then I ran FNVEdit several times until there was no error, it had me correct my load order, and then I created a merged plugin like you said. All this seems good and jolly, but it turns out when I run the game it still crashes at the main menu! Gah. That is an annoying one, and it seemed to start when I messed with the KF files. I think I will try steam validating it, that has fixed problems in the past. And btw, I just bought oblivion a few weeks ago and have not played it yet. When the time comes, I may contact you for mod support in that one too. I think I will like it because im more of a non-desert kind of gamer. I just hope there are lots of texture pack mods... And thanks for the tip on deleting the data folder. edit: well I validated it and it replaced 6 files, and I run the game again and the same bug... so I guess Im going to have to try reinstalling it some time...
