  1. Hmmm, well the mod's going to be quest based but if you think there's going to be people who want constantly respawning Daleks then it wouldn't be hard at all to set that up. Could even release that version of the mod, without the quest line obviously, quite soon.
  2. We're actually working on a rifle which fires a Dalek shot. Not finished yet though so couldn't include it in the trailer. By two types what do you mean?
  3. Lol the lag at the start is from a mod issue that's resolved now. We wanted it to look like there were tonnes of daleks around the monument and very stupidly actually put tonnes of daleks around the monument. The new plan involves sort of animated sprites, should still look good from the distance! Thanks for the encouragment :)
  4. Hey forum, Me and friend of mine are attempting to create a doctor who mod based around a dalek attack on the wasteland. We actually started it before hearing about Demeggy's mod and a fair wee while before he released it. We were worried that a different Doctor Who mod of such quality would render ours obsolete but, luckily enough, we've had quite different takes on it. Anyway there's a preview/trailer up on youtube, still quite a bit of work to be done, but, despite a few frame rate issues with fraps, I think it shows quite well our general idea. Anyhoo here's a link: P.S. We're also on the look out for voice actors as we'd like the quest line to be fully voiced but, since we're British, there's a limit to the amount of our friends we can use before it becomes a bit unbelieveable that everyone involved in the quest line is a European. So people with American accents, or who can do a decent one, would be great. P.P.S. We haven't got a name yet, so any suggestions?
  5. Hey forum, Was wondering if there was anyway of adding pip boy map markers? I've created an area I'd quite like to be able to fast travel to in my mod, so any ideas? Or is there a tutorial I've missed?
  6. Hey forum, I'm trying to use the Outcast Outpost elevator in a mod I'm making but can't seem to get it working. I've just duplicated the outpost and linked my door to one that would usually connect to the outside of the outpost. Any ideas why the animation's not running?
  7. I had a similar problem when making a custom weapon. You need to open one of the first person nifs, in this case one of the melee ones, in nifscope and align your model with that by opening importing it into that file. Then line up your hilt with their hilt, delete they model, keeping yours in the same place, and hey presto! It should stop floating in mid air! There are quite a few tutorials for custom weapons so its worth having a wee look around, as they'll explain it better than me.
  8. Hey forum, Was wondering if anyone could offer some insight into a problem my wee modding team and I have been having. We're attempting to create a new kind of robot that's quite simple, it just needs to move and shoot, even idle animations are basically irrelevant. We've tried creating our own skeleton.nif but that just leads to the model not showing up over it. So we tried using the eyebot skeleton.nif, creating a version of the model with the eye bot skeleton inside it as well, and using that. That had the same problem. So we tried just placing out robot over the eyebot, since its quite a lot bigger, so the eyebot still exists but is out of view inside our robot. That partially worked, but oddly enough the different bits of the robot show up in totally the wrong place when attached to the skeleton in GECK. Even though it shows up fine in nifscope, blender and when just opened by itself in GECK, meaning when selecting the file in the directory and selecting "open with". Any ideas? We're kind of at our wits end here :)
  9. Hey forum, I've just been trying to get a very simple custom creature working in GECK and not been getting along very well. Its robotic and doesn't need much animation, in fact it just needs to move and shoot. Right now though it just swivels round, does anyone know of a decent tutorial for this kind of thing? Or does anyone know what's wrong with my creature?
  10. I've messed around with a lot of GECK and the Oblivion construction kit before but always with stuff already in there. So I knew nothing about that.

  12. I'm not sure. I'm just using GIMP since DDS converter doesn't work on vista. Is there anything specific I should be doing?
  13. Should probably mention, I just made a new texture set and put it on the vanilla model, also it shows up the way I want it to in GECK.
  14. Hey guys, I'm just wondering if any of you know what's going wrong here? http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/1355/dalek.jpg Its supposed to be showing up bronze and from what I can tell from tutorials etc. I've done everything right. Any ideas?
