Race: Breton Favored attributes: Endurance Luck Major skills: Long blade Heavy armor Destruction Restoration Alteration Minor skills: Alchemy Speechcraft Conjuration Mysticism Illusion Birthsign: The Apprentice I'm not too sure wether Illusion is useful or not but the rest should work. What do you guys think?

The thane of Riften / skooma trade quests (Helping hand, The Raid and Supply and Demand) that are required for purchasing the house in Riften (Honeyside) don't show up in my journal for some reason. I'm certain i've done these quests a while ago as i have quest items from those missions... Unfortunatly i've done some other quests in the meantime so i can't just reload... I've tried using ResetQuest on the first quest and SetStage on the last one to no avail. Does anyone know how to fix this : i really want that house :P.

I'm personally about 30 hours into a vanilla playthrough of Skyrim legendary. Is it still possible to install the unofficial patches or should i have thought about that sooner?

Hey guys, I just got a new computer and i have to buy a new display to go with it. I currently own a Samsung T220 monitor but it causes mayor eye strain and has to be replaced. I was hoping that switching to ips based screens would solve the problem but i can't choose between the following displays: - HP 23xi This was my first choice but i noticed that its glossy and am not sure if that would cause eye strain or not. - Philips 23C4QHSB The store where i will probably buy my display also had this one - LG 23EA63V-P Another contender but i will have to buy this one at a different store. If you have anyone of these three screens don't hesitate to reply but any general advice is also welcome.

I'm about to buy a new laptop and i'm not sure if the specs are decent enough to play Skyrim on high settings. Skyrim "Legendary edition" is just round the corner and i don't want to wait another year (or perhaps even longer) until i buy a proper desktop machine. These are the specifications: - intel core i5 - 3210m - 8 gb ram - geforce gt 730m - 17 inch screen : 1600x900 I've done some research and the graphics card should in theory be as fast as a geforce gtx 260 while the i5 is a dual core cpu. Are these specs good enough or should i wait until intel releases the new Haswell chips (fourth generation core i*)? On a slightly different note: pan B is playing Morrowind with Morrowind Overhaul 3.0 mod but i have no idea of the system requirements of that combination. Comments? What is the concensus concerning modded Morrowind vs Skyrim anyway? Which do you think is best ?

So i'm close to finishing the game, only problem is that Mankar Camoran royally kicks my ***. I also can't get past Mannimarco (last mission mage guild quests) so some help would be greatly appreciated. I've already read the entries at uesp.net but some more precise info would be welcome. Some information about my character: I'm a level 29 custom battlemage and i'm an expert with blade and destruction and journeyman with alchemy and conjuration. What level do you need to beat Mankar and what tricks can i use to level the playing field? (Please note that i'm running OOO and don't have Shivering Isles.)

I've installed Elsweyr properly and now i'm wondering when i should enter it. Should i first finish the regular game (i don't have SI) or is this mod made for a specific level (running OOO so no auto-leveling)?

So I've downloaded a 280 MB Elsweyr mod (and colored map) that is supposed to add new land to explore and installed it with OBMM. Edited oblivion.ini to disable the borders and walked all the way from the east to the west through what should be the cities of Orcrest and Dune but i can't see anything but desert. No cities, no NPC's, nothing. Can somebody tell me what i'm doing wrong? Should i enter Elsweyr some other way? Do i have to download some other mods? (Running OOO here: what level should i be when entering Elsweyr?) (Also running Qarl TP3 and Darnified UI Dark) Update: i've downloaded another Elsweyr mod and this one works .

Sorry, i forgot to mention i'm running OOO. The bretons are even better battlemages than i thought: they have 15 points more health than high elves in OOO. I've tried using 'showracemenu' to change my race but that just messes up my other stats. Thinking i should just increase my strength by 8 or 10 points through the console ( good idea?). Does using the console have any downsides i'm not aware of? What happens when you adjust an attribute that has been lowered by disease?

I think i screwed up some of my attributes and skills. Made the mistake of not letting you 'judge' my build in the beginning so i made some noob mistakes. I have the following character : Race : High elf Birthsign: The mage Major skills: - blade - destruction - heavy armour - restoration - conjuration - alteration - alchemy Yes, i managed to combine the weakest race with heavy armour. In retrospect breton is a race more suited for a battlemage and light armour is probably a better fit for mages... To be fair I started the game with marksman instead of heavy armour and after realising that i didn't have any protection i "cheated" and used the console to make heavy armour one of my major skills. Now i realize that i don't really have the strength to carry a full set of armour: my current strength is 56 (level 12) and i already have problems in taking home the 'loot'. Can i make this build 'work' without any more cheating or should i again use the console? Is training enough to make up the difference in strength? Are there other tricks (i'm already using feather potions) ? Is a high elf battlemage always going to be inferiour to a breton one or can you earn so many attribute points that towards the end it really doesn't matter? Can you easily maximise your strength attribute with only blade as major skill or does it involve spending lots of time in prisons to lower your skill points? Another question: my luck is unusually low (23): any ideas why? Thanks for the responses on my previous question: my financial situation is already a lot better :) ...

Hi there, I'm 17 hours into an Obscuro's Oblivion Overhaul modded game and doing quite well overall except in one aspect. Despite raiding dozens of caves/ruins I'm still as poor as a beggar :P ... I've come in the possession of some high value items which would relieve my money problems instantly but no-one has the coin to buy them from me. Also going on a shopping spree and paying with items rather than gold, doesn't seem to work: if you ask me the bartering system of this game simply sucks. I've also tried becoming a gladiator but my stats aren't good enough yet... I've seen someone on this forum brag about having 400000 septims so I'm doing something wrong. Is there a difference between vanilla Oblivion and OOO in terms of the gold you can find? Whats your method for easily earning coin? Thanks in advance ...

Thanks but i also wanted to know whether restarting with the fallout 3 wanderers edition mod would be worthwhile or not. Does anyone using this mod want to commend?

Hey, i'm new here and i have a few questions about mods. I'm 10 hours in on my second playthrough with only the HD audio overhaul mod and i'm wondering if it would be better to restart the game with some mods. I'm considering installing the FO3 wanderers edition mod and perhaps some other mods. Is it difficult to install FO3-WE? So, should i restart or not and which mods are a must have?
