No mod theft doesn't pay, but I did steal anything. Your stance and opinion on the matter of mod theft is duly noted, but you have to realise that there is a difference between mod theft and a lack of permission. This mod did not steal nor claim that the works included were solely devloped by myself. Of course everyone has different views as to what constitutes as mod theft, and if I am wrong, I'm happy to be corrected. What UWS did do was make use of mod assets from several other modders works, and while I didn't obtain permission to compile their mods into my own, I did take extensive steps to make credit where it was due. I realise now that isn't enough. As mentioned to the moderator who dealt with me on this, UWS was designed to help the ultra-wide screen gaming community here on the Nexus. I had no intention of benefiting from and only wanted to give back something to the modding community. However I have now learned that people consider that a form of theft. I made a mistake, I broke the rules and now after receiving moderation and a warning, the mod has been removed from the Nexus sites. The mod is gone, and will not be returning due to the points highlighted out in the first post. While it is my firm belief that you are entitled to your own opinion, please, leave it to the moderators to decide what punishment to hand out. And also what mod authors whose work I used decide to do. It just feels you are trying to envoke some kind of name and shame, but also make a bigger situation out of the the issue than it already needs to be. So please, quit what you're doing so we can all get along. If you have reason to believe and proof that further action should be taken, bite your tongue and go talk to a moderator, okay? Don't whine about it here. This thread was made to allow the people who downloaded UWS to know why the mod is no longer available. It's called being transparent, and I believed it was a responsible thing to do. If you don't like that, or you don't like what I did, that is your problem. There is absolutely no excuse to spread it around here on the forum.
