  1. I spent ALL AFTERNOON working on downloading and applying mods for a mage focused game. I don't know wtf is wrong with this thing, but I get instant crashes before I get to even see anything (After the load screen when selecting new game).

     

    All these mods are newly applied, I haven't a single friggin clue what could be wrong. The ones struck out are weird and not in NMM, presumably from Steam Workshop, they're deactivated but still technically there I guess.

     

    Soo... Anyone who knows what they're doing / knows any of these mods better than I, perhaps someone out there can tell me where I screwed up.

     

    A note that may be notable- This was taken after I had ran Loot's sorting, and got the same crash I did before running Loot's sorting.

  2. I'm having issues here as well.

    I have to restart Chrome every time I I want to download something, it only lasts a short time before it stops working again requiring another restart.

     

    It may be related to issues installing Chrome itself, it wouldn't download/install at all until I tried the Offline Installer / Standalone.

  3. Do you run that TES5Edit thing? You really didn't describe anything, but I run TES5Edit whenever I install new mods, especially more than 1. It cuts like 70% of CTDS, especially CTDs on startup. Because the thing will tell you if it can't find plugins or if x should go before y. I still don't really know how to use it, but that much is straight forward and in and of itself really useful.

  4. I recently wiped all my mod and saves to rebuild due to getting Dragonborn (Frickin finally), but now I have an issue... All creatures and such are just standing motionless. Skeletons notably are standing in that sort of half-T pose.

    Yes, I did run FNIS Generator. That was my first thought, because I did initially forget and as such my Werewolf wouldn't animate. Ran it, alls well, but creatures are still stuck.1

    Most guesses are we won't hear about Fallout 4 until around Christmas at least, and TES-VI until next summer at the earliest.

     

    Sounds wishful. I can only hope.

     

    The short answer is, of course there will be more TES games - Bethesda is a business, and a business is out to make money. And Skyrim made them millions and millions, so they will certainly make TES6 and they will continue to make TES games until the series stops making money. They won't be beholden to creating all of Tamriel for any future games because TESO is an MMO which carries different expectations and, as others have said, TESO has a different developer.

     

    Bethesda has a 2 1/2 - 3 year development cycle on its games. Morrowind-Oblivion-Fallout 3-Skyrim were released in 2003-2006-2008-2011. They're due for announcing a new game soon, presumably Fallout 4, which will probably happen late this year or early next for a 2015 release. I think we're all crossing our fingers that the reason they're a bit overdue on a new release is because they're building a new engine. But..

     

    I'd wager on The Elder Scrolls VI: Dominion in 2017 or 2018.

    Tell that to Valve, for example, with the lack of HL3. For some reason game companies don't seem too interested in making games that people actually want. (HL3, Fallout 4, TES6, ect).

     

    TES6 will be out when it's done.

     

    And please no co-op.

     

    It definitely needs Co-Op. If you don't like it, don't touch it. But Co-Op in Skyrim is essentially what ESO should have been. Something along the lines of Diablo 3's multiplayer, without the always online. Server-hosted mods would be nice. Skyrim is great on it's own ( And by that I mean singleplayer. Vanilla Skyrim isn't actually all that) but sometimes you just wish you could share the world you've crafted up with whatever mods and your lil hero with others.

     

    The longer they take too create new TES the better IMO. If game would be rushed and set to simple prodution line, that would be worst thing to happen.

     

    Much like Skyrim was.

     

    But I'm acting like a Bethesda game is actually finished on release and they didn't cut half of the content. We can expect the same for FO4 and TES6.

     

    I hope Psykers make a feature in the next fallout. Even as a main flavor to the game as a whole integrated with the MC and main plot.

  6. This is kind of a huge frickin problem that I have to deal with almost EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. I try to play. Saves working perfectly fine one minute then suddenly they're completely broken as hell until it randomly decides to work again after dozens of attempts to load a save.

     

    EDIT: To anyone who finds this at a later date by searching for the same problem, I can regularly play by starting a new game entirely every time then loading a save from the new game. To avoid clutter and save time, you can use the console and type "Load Autosave1" or "Load Autosave3" to bypass the character creation and the inability to access the ESC menu in order to load your last saves immediately.

  7. Summed it up in the title. My Skyrim is being a little... It's hard to describe it without feeling like I need to cuss like a sailor and describing it anything but or not at all leaves me feeling incomplete.

     

    Anyway.

     

     

    It random-as-hell decides to instantly crash after trying to load into a game. About the moment where the game would show itself, it crashes instead after waiting through a 20-60 second loading screen.

     

    Then, being driven mad and repeatedly re-loading save after save in order eventually some random save will work and then I can load the current save from the older saves without issue and for a while there's no problem anymore- until it happens again.

     

    Not entirely sure when it started happening but it doesn't really seem attached to any particular mod. But if I were to guess, could it perhaps be Dynamic Camera? That's the only thing I could imagine causing this problem since that influences display and this occurs when the game would be displayed, and I have other issues with camera on occasion that also randomly-ish start and stop.

  8. This is a major problem that's been brought up in the past- by others and me even, over a year ago. Maybe even two.

     

     

    Confirm Overwrite appearing under the progress bar is a bug that happens repeatedly. I have had the pleasure of experiencing this bug at least twice a day since coming back to Skyrim and by extension modding.

     

    Which means of course that you are frozen. You cannot confirm overwrite because the progress bar so lovingly denies any attempt at clicking the needed window with the pleasant windows denial sound that plays with each merry little click, blissfully unaware that you NEED to confirm overwrite for progress to continue. It then most adorably clings to you when you try to cancel, and will sit there thinking about canceling for an eternity but never actually doing it. The only solution then is to call in the Task Manager to cut it down, and restart.

     

     

    So, bringing this up once again in the hopes that it can be solved. The inability to click the confirm window may be partly a fault in Windows itself rather than NMM, but surely there is something that could be done. Such as not using a Progress window at all, but having some alternative display.

  9. I dig this thread out of the grave... Because I have the same problem.

    Changing my load order doesn't seem to fix the problem : If I initiate the dead money add on, the jumpsuit will stick to me like a second skin... It won't come off, even if I unequip it or equip other armors (it will clip through them)

     

    Any help ? Because it pretty much mean I will never be playing the Dead Money add on with this bug.

     

    EDIT : Oh well, the problem came from a mod, for which I didn't used the "jumpsuit patch". Problem solved.

     

    Sooo...

     

    What mod was it? Where is this "Jumpsuit patch"?

     

    I, of course, have this glitch as well. If there's a relatively obscure and annoying or impossible to fix bug in any game I always end up stumbling upon them it seems.

    It's the Type 3M clothing replacer mod, I believe. I found a jumpsuit patch that would influence this but haven't actually used it just yet. But I can't imagine it being anything else.

  10. So, I just got FNV, as in like 30 minutes ago now. I've heavily modded Skyrim, and I've already played the default game ages ago on my uncle's Xbox. Always wanted to play it myself on the PC, and I just got it. YAY~

     

    BUT...

     

     

    I'm highly confused. What's this about the Activationinvalidation shiz? NOTHING is very clear on the matter, even the mod that's supposed to fix it or something. I have no idea what I'm doing. Is it even still required? I can't find the file it wants me to delete, and the application can't even find the _Default whatever.

     

     

    That aside, what mods are important / highly recommended for a new Modded-FNV player? So far I have that Mjoave Delight stuff queued up in tabs waiting for me to sort my stuff out, because I find the game feeling... shallow, without improved character textures/meshes. Something to smooth the walking animations and stuff would be fantastic. What annoyed me the most when playing fallout 3 on the Xbox not too long ago was how the walking animations felt like... a crappy puppet master. Dunno if it's the same in FNV, been ages, but I would imagine it is.

     

     

    Basically, what are the essential mods and knowledge needed for modding Fallout New Vegas~ ?

  11. I actually intended to do that, but I looked at the file location for NMM and I didn't see a mods folder.

     

    Where is it located?

     

     

    If I had the memory to spare, I'd rename it like you suggested. But I don't have all that much free memory, and I don't particularly mind losing all the mods. "Start Fresh" and all that.

     

     

    Especially without a search function for NMM, my mods are way too crowded. It takes forever to find anything through them all even with the separate categories. I believe I have about 5-10% of all mods hosted on the Skyrim Nexus downloaded and cluttering my mod manager.

     

     

    Semi-random complaint: It's annoying as hell when your computer tells you you need Administrative approval to delete something when I AM the Admin, and I had even already clicked yes on such a thing.

  12. I want to wipe my game, start fresh on all fronts. I need to delete the thousand+ mods that I've downloaded into the Manage over the year(s).

     

    How can I do this without spending all day individually deleting mods?

     

     

    Wiping Skyrim only seemed to delete skyrim itself, when I reinstalled all the mods were still there. Which would probably usually be a good thing.

  13. There's been one freaking thing after the other. I've been trying all afternoon since midday to get Skyrim working again. There is CONSTANTLY a new problem. From eternal loading screens, to the camera behaving like a drunk, to no audio playing, and finally it's rounded back to CTDs before the main menu again, and this time there aren't any fricking red plugins shown in Wyre Bash. That's the only thing I know how to do with the thing, look at the color and uncheck when red or orange ~,..,~

     

     

    I can't use that TES5Edit thing, I can't clean mods. That stuff goes entirely over my head. ALL this crap goes over my head. I've wasted enough time as it is. Time to quit Skyrim again after all, before I could even get back in in the first place.

  14. The Boss thing says "Bash" a lot, I can only assume it means Wyre Bash. I downloaded that, and though I don't know what the hell to do with it and what those "Suggested Bash" things are for, it does show me red and orange plugins...

     

    So I disabled whichever ones were Red or Orange and my game worked.

     

     

    However the orange plugin was the compatibility patch between Requiem and Trade Routes. With it, the game crashes. Without it, it works.

     

     

    Obviously I need that compatibility patch. Can anyone tell me just why the devil a compatibility patch is making me CTD like this!?

    Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get my darn fragile game running again? I uninstalled ALL my mods and went back through and downloaded a dozen new mods, then mixed in some old mods I liked to try to get a fresh start at the game again.

     

    But of-frick'n-course the game wont even play now. I'd have to go through ALL those mods to find which one wouldn't work ~,..,~

     

    So anyone know which mods are the culprits? ie; "You should never run x with y, you fool!"

  15. Indeed. I had the problem a while ago and redownloading fixed it, but the problem came back I assume because my NMM closed and trying to go back it asked for the password and log in issues ensued once more.

    Downloading once again does not solve it this time.

     

    I have to assume it's an actual issue with the Nexus... Opening 14 mod pages, four of them were unable to connect (Connecting at last upon refresh). But I guess server issues are nothing new here, seeing as how they've been going on for ages now.

     

    I just redownloaded or a third time.

     

    Something that might be of note: It says "Cant connect to log in server" or w/e before I even attempt to log in...

     

    Unless it's trying to auto-log me in and that failed before the box even showed up I guess.

  16. Wtf is wrong with it?

     

     

    I haven't played Skyrim for months now, I just tried to get back into it but my character is unusable. Inside or out of character creation it's all the same.

     

    I don't have any mods installed that do anything that should mess with the character in that way... No skeleton mods or whatever. Perhaps installing one would help though?

     

    I'll try it, but in the mean time yea. What's going wrong?

  17. I'm having similar troubles.

    Before updating to 46 I consistently had around a download speed for mods of around 800-900, and now I can't get more than around 100. Despite my internet's connectivity and download speed being six times better than it was last time I downloaded a mod.

     

    I feel like it's Nexus that's choking the download speed, but maybe it's a problem with the update. What causes is there that my speed would be crappy? I can't actually download mods, half the time or more the mods simply fail I assume because they take so long.

    Holy crap. I have twelve hundred and twelve mods downloaded. Assuming no repeats and the number shown on the folders is correct.

    That's quite a bit more mods than I have hours in Skyrim. And that is saying something since I both love Skyrim and have no other game besides Binding of Isaac and as of three or four days ago Dishonored.

     

     

    So, please, for this crazy insane person with a serious Mod-Hording problem... A search function? Maybe also a little highlighter that will highlight locations where a new mod has been added to.

     

     

     

     

    Oh. And seriously, what could be causing my problem with the Dialogue boxes opening in a manner that locks it up?

    Someone out there simply must make a horror mod with the Skyrim Academy. It'd be so beautiful. *Teary eyes*

     

    Then of course quest mods /NPC additions, to provide a school life-y experience.

     

     

    The Horror mod would have to be well made. Poorly made horror mods are pretty useless imo~ Since if it can't scare you and doesn't have proper atmosphere then really, what's the point?

  20. Why does NMM, ever since I started using it when I first got Skyrim, so frequently open up the Confirm Overwrite window under the Progress window?

    It's really freaking ridiculous and it wont let me do anything because of it. I can't do anything because it's locked, but I can't say "Yes, overwrite shiz" because the Progress bar is over it and I just can't do anything because the Progress bar wont go away to get at the Confirm Overwrite and I can't finish the progress without overwriting naturally.

     

    Point: It locks itself up because of this shtick.

     

    Why does this keep happening and why do I seem to be the only one who gets this problem? Can't find anything like it on google or searching about here.

     

     

    Edit: I can actually make the Confirm Overwrite appear on top, but it still remains locked and I can't press any buttons. Even though it is locked I can still use arrow keys to navigate/highlight different buttons but I still can't select anything. All I can do is hit Cancel on the Progress bar which makes it load for an eternity doing nothing. "Oh, cancel, let me see........ yea I can do that............ sorry who are you again? Cancel? Oh, I can do that.... hm...................." Never getting out of it.

     

    And!

     

     

    NMM really needs a search function. I have so many flip'n mods it's insane. It's far better with all the folders and such, but sometimes that isn't enough. Particularly when you aren't sure what folder it is located in, or if it's located in Unsorted. Even still.

     

    Search function.

     

    Maybe I'm crazy and most people never get to that point, but really, I probably have upwards of a thousand mods because I'm insane like that and it can be a pain to navigate. I've said it before, I'll say it again~ A Search function would be very nice. Who knows, maybe there is and I've been blind. But whatevz.
