i think the reason for starting out in prison is probably that it presented the easiest opportunity to lay the MQ at my characters' feet.
not only that, but i think that the whole beginning part works well to present you with a choice... its giving you a clean slate in a way,
whatever you did before doesnt really matter now and you get to choose the right(or left) path.

oh hell... i just saw the mod with the green outfit while browsing about, unfortunately i already closed that page... ill go take a look at all the mods i found and try to backtrack from that, if i find it ill edit this post
edit:
ok, i found the mod where i saw the green outfit, its part of the "Tonas Mods Store" mod (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29090) and since both outfits are in the same screenie id assume that the other outfit is also part of the same mod, it does offer a few different armor sets.

those are both World of Warcraft bows from the Sunwell Plateau raid.
the bows' models are very nice, it would be kind of neat to have them in oblivion

oh man, i remember that game. and occasionally i still fire up one of the series' games. the first 4 games in the series were great, the 5th was a bit of a disappointment, the 6th was interesting as it implemented and improved a bunch of features, and the latest one probably wont run on my machine :( although i didnt even try the latest one after i read a few of the reviews for it.
those games should be split into 2 categories, games 1-4 and 5-7(7 right now, may be more eventually) because starting the 5th game they added a main hero character, and it felt like they also really simplified the game. basically it became another warcraft/starcraft clone. just as an example for those familiar with older games, you no longer have to assign settler specializations (carrier, digger, etc,) nor do you need to build housing because apparently all your settlers live in their places of employment.
to sum it up (this is inadvertently turned into a series review or something) the later games (5-7) are very different from the early ones, almost to a point where i want to say that newer ones shouldnt even be called settlers.

i see countless posts with people whinin' and bitchin' about things they dont like in Oblivion when compared to Morrowind.
but i have yet to see a single post with a reason as to why these people are playing Oblivion. if there are all these things
that Morrowind did right(that Oblivion didnt do) why are you playing Oblivion and not Morrowind?
