  1. My friend, that worked! Again it was just an annoyance, but I thank you for the immediate and accurate assistance! I have my suspicions as to how it started, or at least, as to one thing which may have contributed. About two months ago I erroneously deleted my main profile from Vortex, mistakenly and ignorantly assuming I was deleting just one game, but it removed everything. Fortunately I keep daily and weekly backups, and after a quick search I followed some advice in another thread, restored the profile by just copying the appropriate bits back in place (those bits included the downloads directory), and all was good. I didn't see the error then, at least not at first. It only started popping up later after an application update. Anyway your advice resolved it, and hopefully some of the above might be helpful for further replication. Thank you again!
  2. I came here looking for this exact topic, very specifically with Skyrim and Halo. It's just an annoyance on startup, and in no way impacts the app's performance otherwise. in regards to previous suggestions, I don't even have Chrome installed, I've tried with all browsers closed, and I've power cycled my router, no luck. I know initial responses say it is a github issue, but it seems odd then that the error for a network issue should be "dest already exists": dest already exists. dest already exists. dest already exists. dest already exists. Error: dest already exists. at C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\fs-extra\lib\move\move.js:41:31 at C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming 3. Some people like that enemies respawn, but I don't. I get a bit OC about them, and with SO MANY map markers, I like to use their cleared status as mementos of what I have done, and what I have yet to do. Would love to see something that killed the respawn rate of the inside places.
  4. In the same boat here. Would love to have it prioritize the lowest-capacity cores first.
  5. Also could make it an under-layer specific mod. Something like a "Juicer Harness" (for anyone who has played the RIFTS tabletop rpg, you know what I'm talking about.)
  6. Sounds like it might most thematically fit as an armpiece-specific mod. Like it's injecting s#*! right into your veins, via an intravenous drip. I mean it could technically go anywhere, but that would be the most thematic for me.
  7. It could probably be tied to trigger when the DANGER state activates. But it could also be somewhat annoying like that.
  8. +1 for "Stop with the all caps rudeness" here. There's no need to "get people's attention" in a community this huge. If someone thinks it's a good idea, they'll likely think less of it just because of the method of shouting used to call attention.
  9. Dear god I hope this works. I'm REALLY tired of the ghoul corpses reappearing constantly in one of my communities.
  10. Hahahah i totally read that as you wanted a Polish version of Codsworth. Which would also be hilarious.
  11. First, you didn't really make a mod request apparent in your post. Second: can't you just wait to loot until after the current mission is over and you have all the time in the world?
  12. Yep. Basically sums it up. I think (could be wrong) that the "core five" still require _something_ to be there. I might be wrong about sights, though. So those can be swapped with existing mods, or you can "devolve" it by building a standard component on an improved one that you find. But they still need to be built if you don't already have spares. Now that doesn't invalidate your mod request! In fact, I would _love_ for a mod to just immediately break a gun down into separate component mods, instead of requiring a completed one to use as a template. I have so many full guns worth of excess mods, it's silly that I can't put them together to make new ones.
  13. There's already a few different mods that fix VATS, FYI
  14. Whenever I modify a standard weapon, it turns the standard components as available mods that I can then attach elsewhere. If you want to rebuild a gun to be a different gun, it makes sense that you have to build the new component, even if that new component is inferior. Changing the core "gun" part of the gun is not the same as removing or stripping down barrel attachments.
  15. As a motorcycle enthusiast myself, I get a deep longing each and every time I see one of those old bike husks. F3 even had motorcycle parts! I would LOVE to ride around the COmmomwealth on a beat-up old cruiser.
  16. Hell yeah, a bunch of different generators that all require different power items to enable. The regular generators could use gasoline or oil, then a fusion generator, maybe a hand-crank one that requires assigning a settler,,, (lol hamster wheel!), a Flux Capacitor that takes garbage, etc.
  17. The "lighting and smoking a cigarette" is another one i want. Trashcan Carla does it every time I see her.
  18. Another addition to it that would be cool is a sort of optional visual fade-out, like when you open the normal pause/escape menu.
  19. I too would love this. It's such a nifty item and it'd even be cool if a mod made it layer-able like the vaultsuit and the military fatigues.
  20. Dear god yes, the vanilla settlement management tools are aggravating.
  21. I have been playing a lot with a G13 keypad, as I have both F3 FNV and Skyrim, and having a lot of success. One of the limitations of playing with a streamlined device is the lack of easy button-switching for weapons. This wasn't previously an issue in the other games because of easier key rebindings, but with F4 the hard-bound keys of other functions make it more frustrating. As such, switching weapons on the fly is a bit more frustrating. Would love to be able to just dedicate a single key to opening Favorites, and then have the game pause while the favorites menu is open so I can take a moment to select what I'm needing. I already use a VATS pause mod, but something like this added in would be amazing.
