Try hitting Windows Key +R and type REGEDIT then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Then SOFTWARE. Go to your skyrim directory and where it says Installed Path REG_SZ C:\OProgram Files|(Whatever your installation path is) and make sure there is no \ at the end. if there is, to remove it right click on installed path and hit modify. See if this will fix your CTDs it fixed mine....

Sorry for the late response but did you type showracemenu in the console? it should let you re-enter the setstage command again..

I have a similar problem except the crosshair doesn't show up and my spells or arrows shoot in the complete wrong direction. For instance I'd be aiming a bow at a dragon's head and I'd shoot and my arrow literally goes left instead of forward. The only way I've been able to fix it is to kill my enemy with a sword then fast travel to three random places on the map. At the third place save the game, exit the game, relaunch the game, and load that save. it's a typical glitch. However what I did to fix mine might not work to fix yours but it's worth a shot. Just know that when you do fix it the glitch may happen again. My glitch will happen randomly so there's no telling when it will happen again. I don't have or know of any fix that will stop these glitches permanently. I can say that the glitch might be a result of a mod....or it might not be.
