Hi there, as the title says I have a strange problem with Oblivion. I own a FX8350 with a RX580/8GB graphics card. Usually that is enough to play everything maxed out. But not Oblivion. Getting out of the sewers I have ~15-25 fps. The reason for this seems to be that the GPU stays at 300-450MHz and not even then is working at 100% - mostly its 40-50%. I already tried everything i can imagine: 4GB patch, Streamline, uninstalling the Unofficial Oblivion Patch, installing Low Poly Grass, making changes to the oblivion.ini, reinstalling the (most recent) display driver and DX9, trying to force a higher frequency in the driver and so on. But nothing changes. I have several mods installed and it seems REAVWD has - not unexpected - the most influence. But actually I don't think that this mod should have any influence at all on my machine, given that my CPU usually more or less idles at 10-15%. Anyone here has a similiar problem? regards Ohrensessel P.S.: Just tried a bit more, reinstalled the game on a SSD and entered the first dungeon. First it was the same as before, after entering the GPU frequency got to its normal state and i had 60 fps. Being outside again, it stayed at max frequency, but the utilization dropped to a mere 20%. As a result the fps dropped too. Thats very strange...
