  1. Hi there, I have 6 mods which add new equipment to Skyrim. They work fine together. I want to place a chest in an interior, and I want that chest to contain items from these mods. How do I go about doing this? Apparently having multiple chests in that interior from multiple mods means only the last one in load order gets placed. I tried creating my own esp while CK loaded all the mods (loaded the mods with the items in with CK, with no active file selected, then put items from all of them in a chest and saved it as a new esp) but I don't think it worked, as I loaded up that mod, clicked 'edit' on the chest I made, and it wasnt showing the items from the mods. Please help? Thanks

  3. Hi guys, I have Armed to the Teeth mod, which affects skeletons. I want to modify the skeletons it installed for some very basic stuff, basically to make the weapons slightly further away from body + at a different angle. I know how to use 'transform' in nifskope, or at least I think i do. I go to femaleskeleton.nif in data\meshes\actors\character and use 'transform' on the sword node to edit it. The image in nifskope shows my changes, and i can see the node further away as I want it to be. I hit 'save as' and 'overwrite' but when i go into game, my changes are ignored. Sword is in exactly the same location. Why is this? Am I missing something, or doing the transform node thing incorrectly? Thanks
  4. i never change or uninstall mods when i start a game. I can add mods but never remove unless they are without doubt causing problems. LAL is causing me to crash BEFORE LOADING SCREEN, even though i have no files in my skyrim 'saves' folder and want to just make a new char and new game.
  5. Hi there, Installed 'Alternate Start - Live Another Life' = Works fine. Uninstalled it = Skyrim will not load. I see the Bethesda logo and it crashes immediately. Using NMM for both install and uninstall. I desperately need help, I can normally figure out my own mod problems and i have over 130esps active. 'Alternate Start: Live Another Life' mod works fine. HOWEVER, when I uninstall it (making sure bsa and esp are both removed), Skyrim will no longer start! Shows me Bethesda logo then just crashes! I used NMM to install and uninstall it. I reinstalled the mod and Skyrim worked fine again. My Skyrim seems dependent on this mod to even function. I want to do the old start again...please help? What is going on with this? Papyrus log gives me nothing and I don't want to be dependent on a 1 mod being active.
  6. Hi there, I use a very simple mod which adds an armor set to the game. No NPCs have it. It can be crafted. It can be bought from a vendor. I would like to remove the NPC who sells it from the game. He is a very simple NPC who just stands in a predetermined position in the skyrim wilderness (on a road,never moves) and lets you open shopkeeper dialogue to buy the armor for a fixed price. I found him in the CK, 'Actors' section, when i opened up the mod. Can I just delete him with no consequences? I do NOT want CTDs. I just want to never see him. Please can someone advise? Thanks
  7. thanks ! sorted I think, hope I dont cause any CTDs. Trying to place chests in out-of-the-way places so they dont cause problems
  8. Thanks guys. So, I have worked out how to create a unique chest, and how to specify what is in it. However, it still is not clear how I place my newly designed and named chest (currently 0 instances of it in Skyrim) where I want it to be. I tried messing around in the rendering window but it is extremely daunting. Anyone with some help on that front would be most welcome.
  9. Hi there, I am very new to modding but only really want to do one thing at the moment, but do not understand how to do it. I taught myself how to change weapon attributes the other day but this one is giving me a headache. 1. I want to create a chest in a specific location, and then put into it some items from a mod, specifically this one: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24814/?tab=1&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D24814%26preview%3D&pUp=1 2. If it is not too complex to do, I would also like to have the chest Locked, and only be openable using a key which would be dropped by a specific npc. How do I go about doing this? I hope that you can help me or point me to a web page which teaches this. Thanks for reading
