I'm having the same problem and I must say I'm fed up with this "exclusive" "proprietary" "DRM" s*** Why can't it just be a program like in the old days where it would just run from wherever if you had all the file it needs. My Skyrim is in C:\Skyrim, for ease of access, MO is right next to it in C:\MO. How that exactly happened, I don't remember, but Steam does not recognize it as being installed on my computer, yet when I launchthe game the steam overlay is there and I am logged into my account. When I want to install the CK, Steam only gives me two godforsaken steam libraries as options. Run it from one of those and it moans about not having steam dll. Copy it over to Skyrim and it moans about not having some Steam entry point procedure. None of which I want or need, I want to install the app wherever I want, idiotic Steam! And of course you can't make a whole hard drive (C:\ in this example) your Steam library, because that would just be TOO FUKIN CONVENIENT, to have a whole disk dedicated to games, wouldn't it, Steam?
