It is on steam now. for anyone who wants to play with the just the sword and zenithian shield. there will be a quest and more coming as i get more comfortable with the editor. The armor is kinda on hold at the moment cause im having problems getting it to import to the editor.

I was thinking about making it on par with deadric weapons It will not be craftable I will be adding a quest that anyone who has played dragon quest/warrior will enjoy. however till then it will be found in a destroyed house somewhere in skyrim reminiscent of the old edrick/rolo/lolo armor from the first dragon warrior. both armor and weapons from the series that i am going to do will be in separate places till i get the quests worked out so you can choose to get it or not before the quest is available. this may take some time as i gotta go over the walkthroughs and devise a story that is worthy of the armors and stuff. and i have to learn to build the quests anyway as i haven't made any quests for bethesda games since morrowind. I have used some meshes from Skyrim only to tie them to the game more. that and im kinda lazy, lol I do plan to replace the Skyrim mesh parts eventually but right now I just wanna get the armors out so people can have fun with them. I know there isn't a big call for them but i really enjoyed the dragon warrior/quest games and loved the art from these games. I plan to put more of the weapons from these games in, both americanised and japanese versions. I also plan on doing more than just dragon warrior/quest in the future but i feel this is a great place to start and work on my skills with the creation kit and the whole workflow for that. soon as the mod is completely done i will release it on nexus as well. the reason i want to wait for the nexus release is its easier to distribute through steam and keep it updated. I love nexus so i have no issues with weather i like it or not, i just want to keep the initial distribution simple and easy to update as much as possible. Ill make a post to commemorate the release of the mod in the state it is in so far soon i really want to get the shield working right first though, the material is kinda blah and the shader makes it look all chrome and i kinda wanna redo some of the detail. I am glad that people like the way this looks so far and i am happy to keep working on this and it can only get better from here. anyone with any dragon quest related weapons or armor please feel free to submit some requests. however i'm not good with clothing but i will try to get to some clothing soon. I think it would be fun to make skyrim look more dragon warrior looking. not to mention i would love to see a more realistic version of dragon warrior stuff cause the games were awesome. Anyway i'm writing a book so i'll stop here and if anyone wants questions answered ill be happy to do so. If anyone wants to help in whatever way just let me know i could use it because there are lots of things to do. anyway enjoy the first bit of art for the armor again im just using the stuff from skyrim right now to help progress things along so i can release it sooner and will be replced eventually. http://i.imgur.com/CeO3p.jpg

do you have the permission of the author? if you could get that when im done with my dragonquest mod i might be willing to do that for you if the author says yes

I have finaly gotten skyrim i have also been very busy. I fixed the sword made the shield and am going to start working on the body peices after i figure out more about how the textures work. here is a photo dump of what i have so far. http://i.imgur.com/0IoOS.jpg http://i.imgur.com/I0EeT.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Hm44g.jpg I know that the things shine to much im working on that. i need a good tutorial that explains the textures and shaders for the engine cause right now everything shines like chrome. it kinda has the old n64 metal look if you know what im talking about. so far i have put quite a bit of work into this and am very happy with it. I Made the dragon head on the shield the head of a dragon in skyrim to tie it into the game abit but the dragon head on the sword is all me. the textures right now are just place holder textures till i finish the armor and can go back over them and take more time with them. right now the textures are the least of my worries but when im done i want them to fit in nicely with the rest of the game. I will be releasing it on the workshop soon as an alpha mod I will also be working on Edrick or rolo or lolo or what ever the heck you wanna call him's armor and sword too. i will systimaticly add all i can from the dragon quest series cause they have some awsome looking weapons and armor. please stay tuned.

I don't have skyrim for the pc(YET) but that hasn't stopped me from working on this very thing. Up to recently i have yet to find a good 3d version of the zenithian sword but i have a version of it i have been working on for a bit just needs texturing it isn't exactly 100% accurate as all i had to go off of is the box art I may at some point re model the blade to look accurate or i may not haven't decided yet as its not that complex a piece the hilt and guard were pretty interesting to work on. Here is a little shot of my virsion of the sword i will be making the whole armor set when i get there and actually have the game mean while i am waiting to get the pc version of skyrim i was contemplating putting it into New Vegas as i do have that game and enjoy it. but it fits better in skyrim. that and its helping me relearn how to mod for the engine as for some reason Bethesda cant take a hint and move to FBX for meshes I Utterly hate the workflow for their engines. http://imgur.com/F4tsu as you can clearly see it is still in the texture process and needs tons of work but I am getting there.

Hello it took some digging but i found some niftools that work with 2011 except for the material part which none of the tools i have used so far work with the material editor. Is there a workaround or something anyone got a link to the latest niftools for 3ds max 2011 that actually works properly? any help would be awesome. Thank you.
