Woodcutting is a really nice job that pays quite well, and I'd like to do it while going AFK. Is there going to be a mod that makes the woodcutting infinite, rather than having to press E again after every three chops?

Thank you for replying! I'm looking for balanced damage. Something that can rival the use of swords (or even make swords seems like toy sticks!). I also want improved methods of taking down foes, like punching the opponent in the stomach and then kicking him in the happy sack. Basically, finish moves that look awesome.

Apologies if this isn't the right place. I'm here in search of mods that will turn me into the most bad ass fist fighter. Screw the swords and maces, flesh is the strongest weapon ever... Okay I tell a lie, I'm a poor soul who can't afford a weapon.
Anyways, I request mods that enhance melee combat. I request mods that acknowledge people who prefer to throw themselves at enemies instead of hiding behind a sissy shield (seriously, who likes shields?). Most importantly, they need to be easy to install. By easy I mean no harder than .omod level of installation. I do not mind the file size. If it takes me three hours to be the bad ass I desire to be, then so be it.
As for the list of mods that I'm currently using, I've got Keychains, Alternate Start, Full Harvest (because how can you FAIL to pick up a flower?) and darnified UI. I'd appreciate if you post mods that don't conflict with the mods I've got.
While on the note of Monks, feel free to discuss your favorite monk build, like your favorite race and skills, because even though I can roundhouse kick five ogres at the same time, I'm still not perfect.
THANK YOU
EDIT: Well, how silly of me, I seem to have posted in the wrong place after all. Can I request a moderator to move this to the appropriate location?

I'll definitely try those out. I'm done with the downloading of all the mods in the first post, I shall now try them, give my feedback, then try the ones above this post. Thank you once again.

Kudos to you, Telyn. You've given me almost everything I've wanted in Oblivion. I'll check all these out, and give my feedback sooner or later. Also, I tried the Pats Shopkeeper Mod. It didn't really work the way I wanted it to.
By the way, I'm not really intending to roleplay as a priest. I'm not even christian, but I always liked to see priests carrying out their duties. It makes the world more immersive. Even with "illegal" priests, shall we say...

If you had to give an answer based on the title only, you would most likely say "Nehrim!" or something similar. But no, I don't wish of anything other than Cyrodiil in my Oblivion. What I want is to avoid the fighting completely.
Let me explain what I want. I want mod(s) that take away the need to fight. I want to do stuff like live my life as a farmer, be an explorer who brings companions to defend me against highwaymen, a merchant who spends his day selling his wares in a store, a priest who conducts religous ceremonies;weddings etc and more I wish to avoid the main storyline completely and find a whole different game in Oblivion. A Vintner, a master craftsman, a miner, a wandering bard, even a lord of a town. I want all these in my Oblivion. The ability to just enjoy the world as it is and not participate in needless fightings.
Oblivion is such an open-ended game. You can literally go anywhere at any time and just explore the world and marvel at its history, its wonders, its lore. I want a library with all the books I ever want to read (excluding certain ones like the Mankar Cameron's Commentaries to be logical), a bank with interest rates, restaurants (and the ability to work in one).
I immensely enjoyed the many alternate start mods available. They all appealed to me in an uncanny way. The ability to disable fast travel would be nice, I sure want to explore the world rather than fast-travel.
Also, would be cool to have mods that make the Arena more engaging, spectator-wise.

That's about it, really. I'm sure you can't answer every single bolded line, but I'm sure there's one or two mods that fit the descriptions.
Thank you.

Not sure if this has been done, I can't check. We're all excited for the next one, yeah. Skyrim will feature lots of new stuff, and I doubt the list in that features thread is complete. What are your predictions, and your hopes to see in Skyrim?
I personally want more intelligent AI, that reacts more to dead people. I remember that one time, I was bored. So I decided to kill someone in a bar. I like how i killed her and no one reacted, because I was not seen in sneak mode. I hope the AI will go out of their way to at least question the guy in the shadows with the bow and arrow.

While I agree on the part with arrows being able to break, I also don't get how you can't actually loot them in general. If I were to pick up broken equipment from dead people, they'd be broken, but I could at least repair them. But I can't really argue with the way the game works...
So that's all solved, but I still feel the need to nitpick about the plants bit. Plants are mostly for alchemical purposes. If you're going to use them for alchemy, why do you have to worry about failing to cut a bit of a plant? If you just need the seeds of a plant, I can understand. But if I need a whole plant, I don't have to worry about things like that...
Well, I guess I can live with that, now that I have the mod. Thanks for your help. That's cleared out the confusion for me.

I've had this problem for a LONG time now, and it pisses me off. Whenever I kill living creatures, hostile or non-hostile, I'm never able to loot all the arrows back. Say I take 15 shots to kill a zombie. I can at most, retrieve only 5 arrows. And once I leave that loot menu, ALL the arrows disappear. I hate to keep going back to the store to buy arrows just for this purpose. I mean, HOW can you not pick up arrows after shoting them into a dead rat?! It's almost as stupid-sounding as being unable to pick up a freaking plant. That's why I have that 100% to extract ingredients mod.
I'm not using any mods which change bows in any way, and even playing it vanilla, I still get that problem. If you need any more info, just tell me

Thanks. Though I find it funny that there's mods that edit the game for things that aren't safe for work, yet the rules state to keep things PG13.

Welcome to Nexus. Please avoid talking about "XXX" stuff. We can understand a joke as long as it's just one and it doesn't continue. Anyway, I'm sure that you'll find a lot of cool things to look at around here, or even read, if you like to.
Cheers,
Pushkatu!
My apologies, It'll just be for this introduction, I can edit it if you want.

'Sup Y'all. I think Newbies is an odd name for people who are new to this place, since the antonym for newbies would probably be a proffesional. And calling someone a pro to a place sounds weird. Anyways, I should probably give a brief bio eh.
I'm Stanley Richards, if you couldn't already tell. I've just turned 14, so I'm finally a full fledged teenager, so I'm allowed to do what all teenagers do; gossip, and fap to pornographic websites which they find in five seconds through google, knowing it'll be years till they get some ass. /foreveralone.jpg. I live in Singapore, which means you are qualified to send me private messages containing racist comments. I play games, lots of games. Team Fortress 2, Oblivion, Dragon Age Origins, Bad Company 2, Black Ops, Magicka, Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, Planescape Torment, Neverwinter Nights, Peggle, Portal, The Witcher, Half Life series, Super Meat Boy and Deus Ex, just to name a few. Oddly, I don't have Mass Effect in my library. I should probably get it. I'm 174cm, and around the average weight for my age. HONEST. I love spicy foods, hate sweet foods (except cakes).
I joined this forum 'cause I was bored. No really, I was really really really really really really really bored. I'm so bored that I typed out all those "really"s, instead of copypasting them. I'm so bored that I'm listening to some guy with a monotonous voice read verses from the bible, even if I'm not a christian. Also, because I love Oblivion, and stuff and stuff and stuff and stuff and stuff and stuff and stugg and stuff and stuff and studd and mods. I play the sexophone. Sexophone sexophone sexophone sexophone sexopronz.
I want to grow up to be an ex-person, because it has an x in it and sounds really cool.
And the ponies

I doubt I'd OHKO everything in the game on highest difficulty, especially with a dagger, which I plan to go for as it's got the highest DPS. I was thinking of taking a few swings in sneak, then when I'm noticed, peddle and kill the enemy. I WOULD play a ranged Assassin, but I have this weird problem where I can't loot all the arrows I shoot at the opponent. For example, if I were to shoot fifteen arrows at any hostile enemy, I can maybe only get four back by looting, five the most, which is a waste of arrows in my opinion. I'd always have to go and buy more arrows from vendors.
I always have problems playing hybrid characters. I'd always either use too much of a skill or too little of it. I'd always use more magic in a magic/bow&arrow hybrid than my bow&arrow. So my last playthrough was with a pure magic user, which was absolutely horrid. I speedran the main storyline, dying countless times to the same types of enemies over and over; enemies with magic resistance or reflections. I remember that damn Lich boss near the end of the main story which always reflected my shock damage, as I had no spells which did only one type of elemental damage (it was always fire+shock+cold+extras). And besides, the Mage Guild storyline was pretty creepy.
So if a Melee Assassin requires more than just cunning stealth and luck, I'm not going for it. Thanks a lot for your reply, I guess I'll stick to hacknslashing everything I see.

I've been playing Oblivion (on the pc) for almost a year now. I can safely say that I've beaten the game with all the basic characters; heavy melee, magic, bow & arrow etc. So I feel it's time for a change. I plan to (as always) play on the hardest difficulty setting. I want to play a character who focuses only one sneak-attacking with a melee weapon (sword or dagger, no blunts).
It's very easy playing a stealth bow&arrow character backed up with magic and alchemy, but I've never once tried replacing my trusty bow with a blade. I see Ocheeva in sneak mode, slashing away with her dagger in the Cheydinhal Sanctuary, and I keep wanting to follow suit. Is there any way to survive the harsh world of Oblivion in this manner of combat?
(Apologies for my bad english, I'm not a maestro in it.)

So... Woodcutting
