  1. People who use https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/51664 will realize that it's a lot harder to gain good karma. As a result, it's a lot harder to get the good karma ending for any faction who is enemies with the Brotherhood of Steel. However, one way to do so is to get the level 50 perk to reset your karma and then kill 2 very evil characters. I killed Duke and Cook Cook. I got the karma for killing Duke, but I don't recall hearing the good karma sound for killing Cook Cook. I note that, if you have the Mysterious Stranger perk, and the Stranger makes the kill, you don't get the karma. However, it's also possible that this "patch" changed Cook Cook's very evil status. Is that a way to check? I know that, to check player karma, one just need to type player.getav Karma, but how does one do so for NPCs? Cook Cook's form ID is F5700, while his ref ID is F5704.

  2. So I recently got FNV, and so I'm taking the opportunity to get back into mods, as well. However, I'm taking a minimalist approach. Initially, I only got the unofficial patch (YUP) and only got NVSE to get past the infinite loading screen bug. Now, I've decided to expand to basic nudity. For that purpose, which mod do you recommend? I was looking at this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/64014 But the comments appear to indicate some problems. And yes, I would like to reclarify minimalist and basic. I recall downloading nude mods for Fallout 3, and while it did work, it also somehow buffed the stats of the centaurs.

  3. One of the bugs that this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/9969 should have fixed is still occurring for me, namely the one shown in this image: https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/101/images/9969-3-1214077025.jpg Besides fix patches, like these, I am not running any other mods, so would you happen to know what could possibly be interfering with the effects of this patch? If it helps, this is my load order:

  4. I honestly wasn't planning to mod this game beyond the unofficial patch, but the Sheriff battle is apparently too difficult for me, namely the second portion. During that second part, he has minions. However, for me, at least, all their attacks stun-lock and do aggravated damage, so they feel like mini-werewolves. I originally planned to just focus on them first, but after killing them, they literally respawned within seconds and have that speed dash move where they can get close to you nearly instantly. All I'm asking for is a mod to prevent them from respawning after you kill them the first time.

  5. 1) Except there are plenty of successful Dunmer in Stormcloak-controlled territories, and a Stormcloak-controlled Morthal yields an Argonian housecarl. Most of the Grey Quarter Dunmer are of House Hlaalu who have long lived fat and lazy lives under the Empire, forsaking the teachings of Veloth. True, a couple Nords in Windhelm hate the Gray Quarter Dunmer, most of whom are of House Hlaalu, but you know who hates Hlaalu Dunmer even more? Every other Dunmer.

    2) Ulfric didn't establish that. He just helped enforce the previous rule of the Jarl of Markarth. Similarly, the executions were not because of race or religion, but whether or not the person in question had Forsworn connections.

    3) "True need" is vague as heck. Ulfric believed that the people of Skyrim truly needed to see how weak Empire-backed Jarls were, so he needed a complete victory in the duel.

    • The Mages Guild tried to ban necromancy to please the Muggles and was justly punished by imploding into the Synod and College of Whispers.
    • House Hlaalu banned slavery to please the Empire and was justly punished by having their Great House title removed.
    • Astrid was justly punished for trying to break away from the Dark Brotherhood's traditional Night Mother worship.
    • It is only natural for pro-Empire jarls to be justly punished for agreeing with the White Gold Concordat's Talos ban.
  6. Because my new laptop does not have a CD drive, I decided to get the GOG version of Oblivion. However, I am encountering entirely new issues that I never did with a physical copy. Namely: http://www.gamesas.com/missing-few-inventory-icons-t339702.html I decided to go with a minimal mod only run, so the only mods that I have installed are the Unofficial Patches and its support files, OBSE, and follower double face fix https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/34753 I'm not going to bother reinstalling because this is already as "clean" a game as I can make it.

The best way that I know to solve this issue is to recover or replace the icons. I encountered a similar problem with wine on my physical copy of Oblivion, and I "fixed" the issue by simply overwriting all the wine in the game with a completely new mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/34111 However, I don't know which mods can do so. Well, I'm being forced to recall that this game is borderline torture with issues right out of the box.

  7. Apparently, there is also: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/45241?tab=files In any event, instead of installing this mod as a whole, I will just use its boots models as "patches" whenever I see this problem. Again, none of the shoes or light boots that I've seen have this issue. It's only the heavy boots. Yuravica did provide an extra mod for iron boots, and ebony boots are already included in that mod. So far, I only really need it for Daedric boots. As for Madness boots, I actually encountered this issue in the modded version. Switching back to vanilla solved the problem for that particular case.

  8. Yes, I am using Yuravica's replacers, but some of them don't have boots. Are you saying to use someone else's replacers, but just use the boots? Of course, when most people make HGEC replacers, they are obviously focusing on the cuirass and greaves, rather than the boots. Do you know of any with a boot focus (preferably one that just adjusts them to avoid clipping, rather than ones that change the boot model entirely)?

  9. I notice that there will be some to much clipping on ankles/calves when equipping vanilla boots (oddly, I only encounter this problem with some heavy boots, but no light ones) with any HGEC lower body model other than small. This includes both completely nude and any greaves/pants armor that uses an HGEC lower body model other than small. Are there any mods that adjust those vanilla boots as to reduce or remove clipping?

  10. Entering Deepscorn Hollow at level 30 still nets you the level 25 Crimson Eviscerator. Obviously, without the unofficial DLC patch, getting this DLC at the beginning of the game will only ever get you the level 1 version, even if you enter later, so in theory, this patch improved the situation, but it did not appear to give it the best possible scenario. In the event that another mod is causing this bug, here is my load order:

  11. Typically, when I get the Mehrunes Razor, the "back door" of the dungeon will open. However, it is not doing so now. What could possibly have caused this? My load order is as follows:

  12. I've posted yesterday about a journal entry required for this quest, but I've just tested it myself on older save, with the quest update required, and I couldn't train with Bralsa Andaren. She kept repeating over and over, that I should go away,as I frighten the animals lol. Her disposition to my PC was 89,so it's not about being disliked,it just wouldn't work.

I agree with previous post from pedantic. It looks like the condition for dialogue isn't correctly assigned, but it can as well be a mod conflict. It requires a new vanilla start to check. If there is still a problem, than maybe it's a case for Unofficial Oblivion patch.

I have this exact same issue.

  13. I installed Thieves Den at level 40. However, in Kovan's shop, I still find that some of the Silenced gear are still Elven quality, rather than Glass. The boots are Glass, but the gauntlets are Elven. Is this random? In other words, should I wait until the shop respawns? Also, I cannot seem to locate the Gauntlets of the Manhunter. Again, random spawn in the shop?
