Hell, ill trade in my original for a GOTY edition. Might as well. But at this point there are some modders who create intense mods almost as in depth as the DLC's.

Damn! Someone just told me that the OFFICIAL DLC's are now free. I said Bull-****. Is he right? If so i've been missing out.

Man, spelling is important.

What is the method for filling in the void or sky when trying to make a new worldspace. I've seen it done in space levels before, where outside of the windows is a giant planet in a starry sky. I feel like its done with a texture, but even if thats right, I wouldn't know how to apply it. If you could tell me it would be usefull for my WIP mod. Thank You, :wallbash: PRIMEX

Do what I do, make a killer mod that you would want to see, THEN show it to other people. If you concentrate on everyone else's opinion first, your mod will falter. What usually happens is that you make somthing YOU think is awesome and then other people will probably like it, even if they didn't really request it. But if you do want an opinion, I guess a Wargame where you could choose sides would be cool. Good Luck on whatever you do!

Screw both of 'em. CTR with crash bandicoot was one of the greatest playstation games ever. It had an awesome battle mode, an open world adventure mode, creative tracks and bosses, plus a great arsenal of awsome weapons like the missile and nitro crates. Nintendo loves to hate, but CTR was one of the reasons that the playstation is one of the greatest consoles ever. 'Nuff said...

I live in the US, but I was born and raised early in Israel! Lived there till I was five.

Wait. People have made vision mods, so this could be done! There were NVG's that highlighted all NPCs, so it could probobly be set to find weapons aswell.
-
Thats intresting, i think ill do that.

Could .GIF's get saved as textures?
-
Wait, you can create vision mods? I saw a video with NVG's, but i think the effect was just a video effect. Personally, if it were possible, I would want to see Terminator vision where you could see statistics on targets, weapons, items, and locations right on the HUD. Cool idea in general.

Sounds like it could be made. But do you want to control the people like a squad or do you want them to run tasks like individually fighting the supermutants?

I don't think any ones done somthing this expansive, but it may already be done. Someone with alot much time on his hands should sanbox the entire wasteland region and create hundreds of NPC's to roam and survive like the PC. But i mean true surviving. When they need to sleep they will find the safest place around and sleep. When they need to eat they will eat. They need to keep their individual supplies up by hunting and trading, and they will manage their weapons and armor. They could travel in groups or alone, and they can be recruited as followers if wanted by the PC. I think this would take alot of work and scripting knowledge, but it would be very worth it. I have also heard of a mod called Wasteland Wanderers, but i don't think its the same. This mod would be great if it were combined with somthing like RTS, but so the NPC's could intelegently create their own temporary/permanent settlements. Even better would be if NPC's that travel were from different factions, and could go into combat against each other. There obviously problems with the idea, but it could be tackeld by a veteran modder.

That's funny, I was actally thinking of making a bank mod in my future projects, so it would be cool to have robberies as well. People make new factions all the time, so this seems realistic. Looking foward to it!

Cool Idea, but I don't personally think it would fit in with the Fallout theme. I think it could be done with a custom model of a wand that shoots ammo with plasma or any other effects, but wouldn't you have to refrence a melee weapon, which can't shoot ? I think I saw a modded power fist that caused enemies to explode from a range, but i believe it was done by tweaking the effect radius and spread or something similar. i'd look foward to seeing someone do it, but i wouldn't download it myself.

Thanks alot! That clears up alot.

When I manage to fix my PC I plan to start doing some modding for Fallout, but I would also like to make some custom models. Any 3D modeling software i've used is either too simple or incompatible with Fallout 3. After scouting around for info, it seems that their are different things to use, so i'll write what I know: - I see alot about NifSkope and NifTools, which I saw was used for converting models into game models. - Blender? - There was somthing else I saw called Maya or somthing similar. Please help me figure out what to use. I hate to sound green, but I am relatively new to this, so all help will be appriciated! I do have a good understanding of the computer in general so i will learn pretty fast. Thank You.
