I've got quite a few mods installed and have been playing the game for around 15 hours - only trouble now is that the sky is stuck in the oblivion gate colour sky and it's always thundering and rainning! I'm sure i read on here a few days ago that somebody else had the same problem (and that theres a patch for this) but cant find it at all! anybody familiar with this problem?

I bought a wired Xbox 360 controller yesterday and installed it onto my new PC, i'm having trouble getting oblivion to work with it though! Does Oblivion support using a 360 controller? Its strange - the move around analog stick works ok, but i cant seem to look around! also cant seem to map the triggers? I thought it may be a dodgey controller but it works perfectly on my xbox.. anybody have any trouble like this?

right, quick update. just downloaded and ran TES4LODGen and all was ok apart from the last bit said- [00:06] Loader: Fatal: <Exception: "All Natural Base.esm" requires master "Oblivion.esm" to be loaded before it.> [00:06] Loader: finished does that mean i got to change something?

my pc is more than up to running oblivion, made sure that it could run oblivion on max settings on everything before i bought it - i bought it mainly for Oblivion (its a gaming pc) i didnt run that TES4LODGen so ill try that. cheers

I know theres loads of threads about this kinda thing but my problem seems different. Every now and then a random textures appears missing! once it was the whole sky - it was just black, then it was a few walls to one of the ruins, then it was a door to a farmhouse. If I fast travel somewhere the problem goes back to normal, or if i re-load the auto-save it usually isnt the same. its just every now and then. I've got loads of mods installed including natural weather, Qarls texture packages, etc Its not something thats making the game unplayable as i know as soon as i fast travel it goes back to normal its just alittle annoying I have a feeling it's not 1 set mod as its always something different missing any help appreciated :thumbsup:

Just want to say a big thanks!! I just went into the oblivion.ini file and edited it as to the 'ultra high' settings on that link and the game now looks awesome!!! everything looks perfect now - better than on the xbox 360 vversion too!! thanks again ArmeniusLOD :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

hi i also have this problem - and noticed it set the game to medium graphics settings when i first started it up - ive located the ini file but what do i have to change for it to display in max settings?

right ok, cheers! ive kinda already installed vista (will upgrade it later) but im abit stuck again! ive installed vista ok - now put the motherboard disc in and selected for it to install everything! its now doing that but keeps asking if 'generate serial ATA Driver diskette[Y,N]?' when i clicked press n (no) it just reboots and gets to same screen - if i press y(yes) it asks 1.Generate RAID Driver diskette for Windows XP 2.Generate RAID Driver diskette for Windows 2000 3.Generate RAID Driver diskette for Windows XP64 4.Exit which one do i choose?

Well i've just received my new pc!!! Looks awesome and is a good spec - but i just have 1 quick question. I've always bought my pc's/laptops from places such as pc world etc where you just open box and plug & play. With this pc i need to install an operating system - which is fine as i have a windows 7 & a windows vista disc set, but my question is the pc came with the graphics card cd and instructions -- will this have already been installed? or do i need to install it - and if so when? (before installing windows or after)? any help will be great! EDIT-- just found the motherboard cd too - same question for that aswell :unsure:

Just a quick question - anyone here play Oblivion with the difficulty turned up? I turned it up very slightly when playing on the xbox (i litterally mean a tiny tiny bit) and now i'm about to start a new game on my new pc with loads of mods on - i'm thinking i'd like the game to be quite abit harder so i'm going to whack the difficulty up to 3/4's of the way :teehee:

Now that I didnt know - I remmeber a few side quests that I just could NOT complete and I never knew why! I can't remember exactly which they were but there was 1 or 2 that couldnt be done. At least I'm on PC now :tongue:

I've ordered a new gaming pc tower - which i'll be playing through my living room tv too! As i said in another thread i'm an ex-xbox 360 player of Oblivion and i always loved it - good graphics for when it came out and with GOTY you also get knights of the nine - plus on xbox marketplace theres about 5 (small) expansions for the game so you should be good! :thumbsup:

I'm an ex Xbox 360 Oblivion player - when Oblivion was brand new I got it acouple of days after it came out and played quite abit for a few weeks. I remember I had 93 hours on my character when I sold that xbox. I then got another 360 about a year and half ago and bought Oblivion GOTY edition - started fresh and have now clocked up 196 hours - character is level 43 Imperial warrior (havnt played on that save for months though to be honest). Now REALLY getting into Oblivion on my laptop (which runs really slow) - so have just forked out for a brand new gaming PC (mainly for Oblivion :teehee: ) and am thinking when I get it on my new PC with all these awesome mods the time will clock up very quickly :laugh:

no - i did do that first time admittadly. right just realised that the one i was trying was the 'North America(English)' version of the game. that might expalin why it isnt working. im now trying the 'UK/Europe/Australia (English versions only)' version - hopefully it will work thanks for the help ITS WORKED - yes!!! kinda embarressed that the problem was i wasnt paying enough attention lol - thanks again for the help!

Hi all new to the forum - I've just bought Oblivion for my laptop! I have it on Xbox 360 and absolutely love it (my favorite game by far ever!) Now I mainly bought it to try modding it and installing mods - one of the main mods I want is the Predator playable race so I downloaded it, under the requirements of the mod it says you need a few other mods installed to allow it to work. one of which is the latest patch - I downloaded the patch and clicked to run it - it starts installing then after about a minute it stops with an error message - 'old file not found. however, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match' when i looked it had stopped at 13% (processing: OblivionLauncher.exe) why is that? I have tryed it a few times and it does the same thing everytime - I have looked online for an explaination but can't find anything? could someone please help? I aint to good with pc/laptops by the way :-(
