    Sure, you can reinstall everything if ya like, might not solve the issue tho.. Sounds like it could be an 'overheating' issue esp. if it cuts out after x amount of usage.. Id check the ports that allow airflow in/out of the laptop or even have the fans themselves check to see if they are working properly etc.. As for the disk being 'full', it could slow down a PC if the drive was heavily fragmented or there is not enough space to use/allocate to basic system functions (but that would be like if you had 100mb left or something etc..) You can always do a disc cleanup followed by a defrag and then see how the pc runs, but im betting it is just a little overheating due to clogged vents etc..

    Ya, SketchUp is very limited in its capabilities.. tho I can/have made some cool stuff :) Ive tried 3ds but could never learn it.. Got Blender and Milkshape but really havent learned those either :huh: I had been making models for RCT3 and there is a pulgin that easily exports the objects for use in the game, Im hoping a similiar plugin is made for DA (or any game really :P) Most of the item I plan to make shouldt require bones and such but will need UV maps.. Perhaps Ill just make the 'standard' models then allow users to 'finalize' them by adding their own textures/maps/ etc etc.. lol, Im just looking for ways to help contribute to the community ;D

    I played Wow for a few years.. Had a lvl 80 shammy, was ranked top 5 on server at one point :) (earthen ring) Had to quit the game after a 1000 gold bounty was placed on my head! lol guess the horde didnt like all those city raids I did, esp the 100man raid on New Years eve :starwars: All in all its a fun game, very addicting but fun.. I see they have added another expansion of sorts, plus the patch often (not sure if thats good/bad but..) which is one of the reason I enjoyed the gane.. new content and quick at that is always a plus :)

    Ok, so Ive been working on some weapons in Sketchup :) Ive got a 'khopesh' made and a cool shield out of the movie 'Pathfinder'.. I will post pics soon on these. My next project will be to design several 'one piece' homes/castles/buildings followed by a 'wall set' for each building design.. Stay tuned for more!

    Do you guys think its possible that someone can create a custom whole expansion via modding? or new quests etc? if so someone should do it!

     

    As far as I can see, the toolset will allow users to creat a complete expansion if so desired :) How long that would take is another question :P lol I myself would love to make an expansion, granted I can get the damned toolset to stop crashing on me! (see my speedtree.exe thread..)

    well, even if it were a 'projection'.. that is one hell of a job, technology beyond what we know now Id imagine.. I mean the image appears to be HUGE.. Ive never sen any type of technology like that or that can produce that lol

     

    EDIT: ok, just watch that video.. even if it were a missle.. what type of missle produces a spiral like that!??

    they are separate maps. You produce them separately in PS.

     

    lol, ya, I knows they are sperate maps :P but this one app did it where it would produce all 3 at once, in a seperate 'window' of the app etc then you could save each.. I could be dreaming :P lol Ill check around more and see if I can find it again.

    Id love to help, provided I can use Google Sketchup to make the models (it can export in all the 3ds flavours..)

     

    As for 'longswords', imo, I dont think they are 2H weapons.. A male without a father sword or great sword would be considered a 2H wep :) Longswords are usually accompanied by a shield or buckler etc

     

    Anyways, Id love to see these changes! and perhaps new models as well :) keep up the excellent work!

    PS can make all the maps, just export them in DDS format. NVidia also has a plugin for dds import/export.

    Yep, yep, I have the Nvidia plugin but didnt see that it can make the other 2 maps (diffuse/spec) Ill go back and review it as I just got it yesterday :P I know there is an app that can produce all 3 in one shot but have forgotten the name :P

    Hello :) Its been awhile since ive made any textures maps and have completely forgotten how to do such and which app(s) can do this. I have the Nvidia plugin for PS which makes normal maps but not the specular or diffuse maps. Are there any good/free apps out there that can do all 3? Seems like I had one years ago, name has slipped me mind! :P Any tips/tricks/links are welcome!! Thanks in advance!

    Come to Cali, you find pot clubs on every street corner!! I myself am a liscensed user :) I have chronic back/neck due to an auto crash and pot has been the only thing that helps..Ive tried/taking other meds like vicidone or morphine but those make me sick as hell :P One day it will be fully legalized and you will be able to buy packs at your local store! lol
