Hi guys, I was planning in modding oblivion (solely graphics mods, no gameplay overhauls), this is a list of the mods I was going to use Unofficial patches Quals texture OBGE OBGE Liquid water Grass overhaul Improved trees and flora 2 Obliviom character overhaul Raevwd Illumination within All natural Immersive interiors However I recently came across oblivion reloaded mod, kind of like a rework of obge but better and simpler, so I'm going to use this instead, however it isn't really clear on what not to use with this mod, obviously not obge or liquid water, but what about other graphic mods such as grass overhaul, all natural, immersive interiors and illumination within for example? Basically, if you read the list of mods I stated I was going to use (minus obge and liquid water, as replaced with oblivion reloaded), would they all be compatible with oblivion reloaded (as oblivion reloaded changes a lot of different things and only says "not compatible with mods that change same shaders" P.s any good graphics mods I have missed out? (Is natural environments still used or do any of the mods I have listed basically include the same things as that mod?) - not really looking for mods like better cities or unique landscapes, I just want vanilla oblivion but with upgraded graphics

Need help because I'm making a mess of modding oblivion (I have goty edition) I've tried and quit twice now due to the amount of info I have to take in/learn just to mod it haha, so after more reading Im just going to use wyre bash instead of omm. Need some help because there are no instruction as to 1. How to install all the unofficial patches using wrye bash (something about BAIN? Have no idea what this is but from what I read all I do is download the zip and place it in one of the bash folders then activate it?) how do I do this haha 2. How to install quals texture mod with wyre bash (do I need obse for this?) and also how to I go about installing this Im relation to unofficial patches using wrye bash? (For the comparability things) 3. Can most mods be installed by placing the zip in the designated wrye bash folder and activating it in wrye bash? What I tried before was downloading the unofficial patches and just extracting them into the oblivion folder (in correct order ofc) but then got a little lost after reading that the esp files go into data folder... So I need some help to do this simple haha, tbf would be useful if the unofficial patches page on nexus mods actually had install instructions for people new to modding oblivion
  3. Hi guys, recently got the oblivion goty edition, all correctly installed and im ready to mod (already ran game once and saved to create ini file etc). I have an i5 4670k cpu and gtx 770 From what ive been able to gather reading though the hundreds of posts about modding, I need wrye bash, and BOSS to sort load order (is Oblivion mod manager also needed, I read that wyre bash can handle omods like OMM, but I read somewhere ele that there are some mods that require OMM?) I need to download the 4gb patch, so firstly, whicj exe do I patch? the standard oblivion.exe? or the oblivionlauncher.exe? also, I wil be obviously using OBSE (ive read that you need to launch oblivion through this for many mods) so does the obse.exe need to have the 4gb patch as well, or just the oblivion.exe? Secondly, oblivion stutter remover, ive looked at this on this website, and it seems complicated (such as changing a lot of the ini files), will just installing it not do the trick or must I mess about with settings (due to my cpu and graphics card)? also, any other performance mods? such as fast exit (although I haven't experienced any crashing upon exiting the game) or craph prevention mod, or anything to help out with my quad core? not sure if oblivion can utilise them so... obviously going to install the unofficial patches, and know to install them, then the quals texture pack and then something else to do with the unofficial patches to make them compatible with the mod (cant remember fully without looking but ill have the instructions up when im dabbling about with that). Now to graphics, I was going to be using the quals texture pack, and was originally going to use OBGE until I came across the oblivion reloaded mod, so I may go with that unless obge is better? however this changes a lot of things, so wondering if it would still be compatible with mods such as all natural weather? natural envrtionments, inproved trees and flora etc.? im pretty sure im going to have ALOT more questions during my quest to mod oblivion, so thanks in advance for all the help, and please bare with me as im a noob to modding (by oblivion standards anyway, I thought modding was easy, this looks bloody daunting!!)
