  1. I can't say if you have the same problem I did, but with win10 I was getting random purple models or random ctd even when no where near the vram cap. Sometimes it would let me run the game for 45 minutes, other times just a couple of fast travels and problems started to show up. I set up a dual boot to win7 and have not had any problems since.
  2. I ran across this when trying to figure out an issue with fo4 textures, you may want to look into this and see if it's helpful. https://communities.intel.com/thread/99533?start=0&tstart=0 FYI The link is to intel discussion forums.
  3. I have an r9390, same problem. Turning shadow quality to low at least allows me to play the game for an hour or so, well sometimes, before it happens again. I have tried everything to solve this, I even installed a fresh o/s and the game with no mods and it's still there.
  4. Try deleting plugin.nmm.bak file in your appdata\fo4 folder (Users\yourname\appdata\local\fallout4) and then disable and enable all mods in nmm, don't uninstall anything just uncheck them and close nmm then open nmm and check and close again. If that doesn't help then delete all the files in the appdata\fo4 folder, run the steam launcher once and exit it then open nmm enable all mods then run the launcher and load the game. The nmm backup files from earlier versions of nmm and older versions of the game can cause problems.
  5. this thread may help. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4015815-texture-corruption/
  6. I have the same problem as this post https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3823790-weird-graphical-artifacts-trees-certain-areas-and-vents/&do=findComment&comment=34783120 and it started with patch 1.3. I only recently reinstalled the game and even with no mods it was happening only much worse than before. I have since installed win7 in a dual boot setup and with nothing but the game and drivers it still happens constantly. I have also installed the game on my old pc and it is doing the exact same thing, using the settlement workbench sometimes causes it but most often it happens as the light changes to dusk, and it always happens when it rains or if I use the robot workbench. GPU's tested - amd r9390 with no o\c and amd r9280 that has a mild o\c, different driver versions are not making any difference. Possible solution for amd using crimson drivers - Open Radeon settings control panel go to gaming tab, use global or fallout4 if you have it setup in the gaming tab, turn off surface format optimization, if this doesn't help then change texture filtering quality to performance. I made both of those changes together so I'm not sure which but the problem has not shown up again since and the blurring textures on the load screen also stopped. I tested with crimson 16.4.1
  7. In racemenu when you're in the body section of the sliders you can just click on the colored square next to the slider and it will open a texture editor that you can slide to refine the base texture how you want.
  8. Initially I had some problems with loading any saves, the game would load fine otherwise but would often times crash if I tried to load from a save. I reset the graphics options and have not had any more problems, seems to be very stable but my game was doing pretty well with win7 also. I'm curious if anyone has had the visual c++ crash message with skyrim on win 10 I used to have that one occassionaly but have not seen it at all since.
  9. Had to think about this for a while, then I remembered the wierdest bug I've ever had. I was just leaving the back door of high hrothgar and a dragon cultist spawned in and attacked me. I killed him pretty fast and it went into kill cam to show me cutting off the guys head and at the same time one of the greybeards shouted and knocked him flying and so he didn't die but instead got back up and started fighting again but his head was just flopping around somehow attached to his foot. So I attacked again and the exact same thing happened two more times, greybeards kept somehow saving this guys life by shouting at him just as I would cut off his head, it was funny but I had to reload because this guy wouldn't die. Wish I had thought to screenshot that, it still makes me laugh.
  10. I just upgraded from an r9 280 to the r9 390 and am very impressed. newegg has a few versions between 330 an 340 usd, or the x models for 400+.
