  1. I think those mock-ups look fantastic! To me they are much more modern and user-friendly. I really hope to see a mobile friendly version! Sometimes I just want to look up some mods while board on a drive (while I'm not driving of course) or something like that. Sometimes a great mod catches your eye and I "track" it so it's easy to find when I get home!
  2. Well I am a noob at this, but I think I can read instructions well enough to figure it out. I actually was looking to do CBBE with bodyslider, I like the idea I can change the proportions to my liking. I'm actually hoping I'll enjoy the optional face textures from cbbe enough to not have to go looking. Project ENB did look pretty good, although I'm pretty pleased with Purevision so I'm not sure I'll go changing it just yet.
  3. Going to be female, and I'm fine with no jiggling hahaha. So many options though. I'll make sure my environment is working well before I start messing with the character mods. My goodness... SO many options.
  4. So... well, that was easier than I expected. I tried out 3 ENB's last night, and now I know why so many are over saturated.. I actually like it. Checked out Clarity, Realvision and Purevision. Installed other graphics mods, had a bit of screentearing but got that fixed up, and now just need to figure out a bit of flickering. I'll be double checking settings tonight (was just trying to get a feel for each of them last night). My FPS has actually been fantastic as long as I don't force it steady in the ini file. If I use rivatuner to hold my FPS steady it works fine. It was pretty easy trying them out. Before I started installing clarity, I made a complete copy of me game folder, including my MO ini files so I could easily switch them back - worked like a charm. Thanks to everyone who helped! I think I'll be working on setting up Purevision (better) and use it for now. I did keep my clean copy in case I decide to check out others. I can't believe how much prettier the game is :) (Especially with the flora mod - although I did prefer to tame it back a bit, too much grass on the trails with the suggested settings). Now to work on making my character pretty.. haha.
  5. Tried 3D application, still no good. I had set the max FPS at 60 and wouldn't hit it. Changed the setting so it doesn't cap my FPS at all and it seems fine. Thanks for the suggestion! I shall hopefully be getting to installing Clarity soon. I have the main mods installed now (SKyui, patches etc.). Is it best practice to install the ENB before mods? Or mods first (such as body mod, hairstyles etc.) My gut tells me ENB first so I can ensure it's working and know a mod isn't to blame.
  6. After looking I think Clarity is pretty good, grim and somber was a little too dreary for my tastes. Slightly off question, I am using this guide http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56894/? And near the end it asks to turn my Nvidia vsync settings (for Skyrim) to "Application controlled". I don't have that option though  I have.. -use 3d application setting -off, -on -adapative -adaptive (half refresh rate) Any suggestions? NNevermind. I need to do some serious looking into.. no mater what I change.. the ENBoost kills my frames :/
  7. Thanks BlackRoseOfThorns, I haven't seen videos of those, so I shall check them out now!
  8. Well, I'd prefer something more on the lightweight side, if you mean more of how I like the "look" of the game. From what I have seen - I don't care for overly saturated colors (I feel like the grass is neon in some of them), nor do I care to make the world bleak (Bleak ENB). Some that I've seen that I enjoy are Project ENB, realvision, sharpshooters extreme, and I REALLY like Natural Lighting and Atmospheres ENB. Some of the water (and sky) maybe looks a bit too blue in that one, but it seems to be the one I like most overall. Another question - with an ENB - I have noticed some make indoors/night extremely dark, will I be able to counter that myself with other light mods, or is changing something like that in the ENB simple enough for anyone to do with some solid googling? Since from what I have seen you are still able to overlay lighting mods over the ENB, I'm hoping I could counter it that way.
  9. Makes sense to me. It's not the ENB itself that make the performance hit, it's the setting people tweak in order to get it to look a certain way? Interesting, seems like it would be a lot of trial and error to find one that isn't super performance hungry. I have been looking at some presets and although some do mention system minimums, they all seem to try to say they are trying to not be a huge hit to performance. I guess I'll dig deeper and see if I can figure out if any presets I like are low hittinh :) Thanks for the info.
  10. Hey everyone! I have just started skyrim, and although had modded (didn't get very far in the game) I was still unimpressed with how the game looked. I wasn't sure if it's because all my mods weren't working (although some I could and did check by comparing images), or if I just had too high of hopes. I decided to do a clean install and ensure I do step by step this time. I was looking at the Modding Beginner's guide and noticed it recommends installing ENB even just for some performance enhancements. I had looked at youtube and found many samples of player's games modded with ENB. I also heard some may be outdated, or may cause major issues. As long as I ensure it's not user error, do you think my PC could handle running UNB? Oh, as well, I do record gameplay using OBS as well. I just figured if I was going through the tweaking for performance enhancements, maybe I should just go full out. I5-4690K (OC'd to 4.2 currently) MSI GTX 770 Twin Frozr (2GB, OC) 8GB ram Windows 8.1 Running Skyrim on a 7200rpm HD I guess I'm just not sure what the ENB is heavy on, CPU usage? GPU usage? If you figure I could run with ENB, how careful so I need to be about finding up to date presets?
