So I log in to download a mod and see this in the news. And I figured I might as well make my first post here, to try and explain something that very few people are seeming to get. This is not about using the word "scrolls". It's about using the word "Scrolls", as a title, to a fantasy game, that in some aspects resembles games of TES series. Do they have a case that'll hold up in court? Who knows. But do not think it's just about the word. I say this without intending to offend anyone, but you have to love the stupidity of some of these arguments. Saying, for example, "You can't copyright a common word", when Notch already copyrighted the word "Scrolls". So it seems you can copyright/trademark a word. Or maybe you can't, but you can register a title, right? It's simply an empty argument. Not to mention asking if Call of Pripyat or Juarez could be sued by the makers of Call of Duty. I hadn't even heard of the games, but a quick Google search showed me that Call of Juarez is a western, and thus shouldn't be easily confused with CoD; and that "Call of Pripyat" isn't the full, actual name of the game. You forgot the "STALKER:" that goes before it. So that isn't even relevant. Strawmen. Strawmen as faaaar as the eye can see.
