I don't know what's causing this problem at all. Basically, at some point I bought a house in Solitude, went in, explored and such. Left, came back, and suddenly EVERYTHING in my house is marked as stolen---every single item says "Steal" when I hover over it. I can still sleep in my bed, but now this same issue is extending to every other house I buy inside one of the major cities. This doesn't affect the three homes Hearthfire adds on, nor any downloaded homes, (though it does affect a custom home added in by Expanded Towns and Cities). As well, not sure if related, but when I go to retrieve arrows that have bounced off of enemies or stuck in walls, they are labeled as "Steal" as well, despite the fact that they aren't stolen. My mod list is:

Bumping because I'm having the exact same problem, though without adopting a child. I entered Proudspire Manor once, then returned days later and suddenly every item is marked as "Steal" when I hover over it. My housecarl is living there and acknowledges it as my house and I can still sleep in my bed.

Alt+tabbing windowed mode and CTDs?
AndarielHalo replied to AndarielHalo's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I use BOSS all the time, used tes5edit occasionally, and I don't know how to bash. my main concern is knowing whether frequent alt+tabs out affect the game with regards to constant crashes. I've done it with Oblivion - New Vegas without noticeable decreases in stability. Is Skyrim a special case for it being newer, or for being more graphically intense? Related question; would I see the same level of frequent crashing if I maintained these same habits with a GTX 780 graphics card? -
Alt+tabbing windowed mode and CTDs?
AndarielHalo replied to AndarielHalo's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I am using ENBoost and SSME (and now OneTweak). I've been using ENBoost and SSME for a while now, but still having odd crashes without much in the way to connect them. The most worrisome for me have been TdrDelay-related ones. The first one didn't actually crash Skyrim but just happened, and I checked my SSME Memory Log and saw the memory had bounced up to 511 (with 512 max) for no reason (I had just entered Lakeview Manor). The second time it happened, it crashed Skyrim, as I was entering a mod-added general store in Ivarstead. After that, I removed Skyrim HD 2k textures, and re-installed Static Mesh Improvement to have only half sized textures. Since then, I've gotten crashes, but no TdrDelay-related ones. Then I just installed OneTweak, and played about 90 minutes uninterrupted without crashing. I only exited because I had to stop. In the process, I only alt-tabbed out once in that time. So I don't know if it's alt-tab related or just entirely random. I'm hoping it's alt-tab related, because I feel like re-adding Skyrim HD 2k textures -
This feels like a stupid question to ask, but I've been having very inconsistent random crashes with Skyrim since starting it out. I have a pretty great system, though only 1280 MB VRAM, and I've had to remove HD textures. But I've also been playing in windowed mode, and frequently alt+tabbing out and back frequently with the game, usually with IRC and at least one internet browser open all the time Does doing that cause the game to crash more often or will I just never be able to play a stable game of Skyrim unless I remove all mods? Note: I've never had this level of problems with crashing and alt+tabbing issues with Oblivion, Fallout 3, or Fallout New Vegas My system stuff:

Bug when ending Lonesome Road
AndarielHalo replied to CaptainNapalm123's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Troubleshooting
I'm having the exact same issue, and apparently a lot of other people have to, and I can't find a straight answer from anyone. Some people say it's because you have a SPECIAL set to 10, but that doesn't seem to matter in some cases EDIT: Don't know about you, but for me it turned out to be a conflict with the mod Nevada Skies. I disabled it and it fixed this issue. -
I don't even know how I got into this mess from where I had started. Basically, I got this old mod Pure Fixes Vampire Script, because if the problem was fixed in the unofficial patch, it wasn't working for me. After some hours, I got sick and tired of this mod basically re-setting my vampirism with every autosave, and so I disabled it. With that, the game started crashing after loading up the scripts in my latest autosave game. So I went into WryeBash, and tried to disable the Vampire Script in the save game directly. This didn't work, so I deleted the save entirely and reverted to an autosave from a few minutes before. Now all my newly made saves crash at the same point. I put the Vampire Script back into the game, and now it's saying a completely different mod (Enhanced Grabbing) is missing its INI file (it's not) and crashes. I tried disabling that mod, and it just crashed again. Somehow, I managed to get a stable autosave that didn't crash and allowed Enhanced Grabbing. However, saves made off of that autosave start crashing at the same point or giving the same message. As well, the console starts showing a huge list of script errors for yet another mod unrelated to these two. My earlier save has none of these problems (as far as I can tell). Also, new games appear clean as well. The messed up savegames also arbitrarily changed my load order to some weird thing My original load order

I'm not sure if this is even a technical issue or not, but it makes it somewhat hard for me to do things in-game, and it's hard to explain. I've played Fallout 3 on Xbox360 for many years and only started on PC this week. In the 360 version, starting up consoles in-game would make them click repeatedly, and triggering land mines would have them beep repeatedly. But in the PC version, they seem to only click/beep in a slow, stuttering fashion. As in, in the 360 version, a triggered landmine would go "Beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep", and on PC it goes "Beep...beep...beep..." Is there an issue with the sound in my game? Or is this normal? Can I fix it? It makes it more difficult for me sometimes to know when I've triggered mines or how long they have before popping.

I too also have this problem too, as well -
I have the Steam version of Fallout 3 GOTY, and went a bit wild on downloading a bunch of mods and skins. Everything has worked perfectly thus far, except that my game is freezing whenever I try for headshots in combat. I tried disabling mods one by one, then all the mods, then deleted all my custom content, and this problem is still occurring. Sometimes I can get a shot off on their heads, but other times, it'll just freeze when I put my cursor over their heads. What the hell is happening and what do I do? Worth also mentioning I have Windows 7 64-bit edition EDIT: Also, I'm having a hard time replicating this issue consistently; it happens in the same indoor place over and over again, but I can go around headshotting other NPCs just fine. Meanwhile, it also happened when I was trying to headshot a vicious dog outside EDITEDIT: I think it may be related to this mod: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/1904/ And it kept occurring on saves where I had this enabled. But I'm still not sure because I can't replicate the error off-hand. EDITEDITEDITEDIT: Okay I just replicated it. It seems to be attached to the NPC "Silver" in Springvale. However, it also happened with a random vicious dog. EDITx13: I think I fixed it; I think it may have had to do with the Thread values in the Fallout3.ini bUseThreadedAI=1 iNumHWThreads=2 But now it's giving me error message/crash when I exit the game.
