Shinobi: I don't have any of the unofficial updates, I have OBMM, I think I have BOSS but I guess I forgot about it. I'll give that a go. MShoap13: Yeah, if I deactivate all the plugins it still crashes, wether it's continueing a save or starting a new game. I have Archive Invalidation from OBMM, I think I have it set up right, but I'm not sure. Anyway, after many fruitless attempts besides, I've decided to quit trying to make DR6 work and settle for DR5, it works and as far as I know does the same things. But I've had to uninstall Oblivion to stop the crashes, if that doesn't work I'll do what I did with FNV, delete everything in it's folder then reinstall from STeam, it worked last time so why shouldn't it now? Anyway thanks guys, I'll keep these things in mind in case this happens again. Fallouttau

Oh, I forgot to mention, the crashes happen the moment I try to start a continue save, it brings up the loading screen then CTD without so much as a whisper.

Well, another problem has risen and it's down to the same mod again, Deadly Reflex 6. I have downloaded everything I needed, and the patch for the Nif thing (I forget it's name). I have juggled mods around and can't find any reason for the crashes. THanks man, this made everyhitng better, turned out it was Kvatch Rebuilt doing the screwing, but there may be more mods up to something they shouldn't be. Thanks for all the help man!

Thanks dude, but I think my problem wasnt with themods in the first place... I just went and deactivated all the mods, yet when I started just Oblivion CTD instantly on a new game or old one, this may just be calling on a reinstall

Well I Just spent all last night picking out the mods I thought I really wanted in the game, cleaned all the ones that were unlean (decided by BOSS) started up and I still crash instantly, what the hell is going on? I could try to reintall it but I dont know how Steam does that. I'll see if chucking stuff around will work. Maybe just grab the steam folder and shift it to the folder where Program files is.

Thanks, I'll give that a go. Yeh my Oblivion stuff is in Program files (x86) and I have windows 7. I'll disable Deadly Reflex and see what happens and I'll get BOSS. Thanks Again Fallouttau

Hey guys, I recently bought Oblivion GOTY Deluxe from steam, after loading up my pre dowloaded mods (Going Rogue, Akatosh Mount etc) and loading them either in the data folder or making omods in OBMM it worked fine, but as I sowly added more and more I came to my current situation. Every attemp to make a new game or load an old one causes instant CTD after it loads (the bar goes full). ok @PsychoGenesis I already did, tried fomms one seperately and together aswell, no change @Quetzlsacatanango All the textures and meshes are in the master texture and meshes folders though, might be my windows 7 thats the problem?

i did this and it still isnt fixed. any help?
