I got an amazingly quick fix from a fellow in my Steam friends who was playing Skryim at the time. enableplayercontrols It seems so damn obvious now. That fixed that problem. But, of course, it's Skyrim with mods, so there's a slew of other things I need to sort out. Animations we mentioned, and surprise surprise, Netches have no animations at all. Just hover around, even when dead. Same with.. I forget the name of them at the moment, they're like crickets. They just slide around. They can't attack. But that's a different problem! And someone already posted the solution, hopefully. So, I don't want to be that guy who fixes it and says 'I fixed it' and isn't heard from again. If this happens to anyone else, open console enableplayercontrols edit: the boat is there now. I don't know when it arrived, but I spotted it - and spoke to the crew - after running around lost in the ash for a while. edit2: So I may have run into another problem when trying to fix the animations

I never knew there was a boat. Well, I mean I did, obviously. I asked a guy to take me there ON the boat. But, I never seen it. There isn't a cutscene. Just that view. Couple guys walk along just to the side of the view, and that's it. No dialogue after that.

Oh, the game works fine. The odd performance issue, but that's to be expected. Not a single thing is flawed aside from the DLC. Travelling to Solstheim just, basically, makes me a stationary first person perspective. Can't move. This is all I see.

Urh, bump? I cannot figure this out. Bethesda recommended a clean install. That's terrible inconvenient. Seriously, any help? If I have to, I guess I will just redownload everything, but I'd like to avoid it if possible, obviously.

I recently bought the Dragonborn DLC for Skyrim.Cutting to the chase, once I travel to Solstheim, I become locked in a first person view and I'm completely immobile. I can't move, even with console commands forcing me. I've used the console to teleport to different locations around Skyrim and once the area loads I am still a stationary first person perspective. I've spent almost all of yesterday trying to fix this; uninstalling mods, changing to a default race, etc. and nothing seems to work.I'm beyond lost. I have no idea what to do. I 'verified game cache' with Steam, which said a file was missing and would be acquired, but that also didn't work.Erh. Help, please? I really am pretty annoyed that it's this broken.

Hope this bump works. Has anyone got, basically, the original files that I may or may not need? Such as in the directory katjes mentioned? I deleted Skyrim and reinstalled it, and ALL mods are still in the game as far as I can tell. Animation files. Any and all that are vanilla. Can someone give them to me, or show me a download for them? I can't get them otherwise, as it appears deleting the game (via Steam), and reinstalling it doesn't work. Edit: Nope. Still haven't fixed it.

This is a bit ridiculous. Patches should help, not ruin. Why'd they modify animations anyways? Wish updates were optional.

Oh God. Well, I dunno if I CAN do that. They weren't exactly mods, more anim replacers. So, does that mean that I'm utterly screwed? <_< Edit: I went around and noticed NO human/orc/elf etc. had any animations. How the hell did a patch 'fix' cripple my animations, and then a couple of animation replacers make every single animation not load at all? Really doesn't help the immersion of the game when there's a load of people standing bolt upright with they're arms spread, sliding around the place.

I started Skyrim today, and noticed when I was crouching that I was doing weird as hell animations. Like a slow-mo shield bash. Whenever I stood up, it was much the same. Attacking made me flop about. Walking made my characters legs and arms stretch and fly all over the place. When I sprinted, the camera made it look like I was being sucked into a black hole. To say the least, I was confused! I decided to install a few animations to attempt a fix. Didn't work, as I now have exactly no animations. Just T-pose. T-pose jump. T-pose walk. T-pose spells. T-pose everything. So uh. Anyone have any idea what in the hell just happened to my Skyrim overnight?

How's your problem been going? Did you manage to fix it yet?

Yes it's started happening again >.> Edit: Yeah. Uh. s***. It seems to only happen when I walk. Or run. ANIMATION CONFLICT! Possibly? Yes? I'm freakin lost. I was able to go where I wanted if I swung my sword like a lunatic.

Right, had an idea! Restore it to a previous date! :D Doing that now! Taking ages, as Oblivion has swelled to over 40-50 GB. With many more things going to be added, obviously ;3 Hopefully this will work! If it does, I will inform everyone, to get some.. Backup.. Restore thing. I dunno. I done it before with the entire system, accidentally :D Didn't know why there was a 'Restore Previous Version' thing in the right-click menu. But anyways, I hope this works. If it does, I'm recommending an Alienware, and dual 750GB RAID0 HDDs. Because it may have just saved my Oblivion from Oblivion :D Edit: All the people that tried to help, your advise is much appreciated!

I have BOSS. It always puts Better Cities in the wrong places >.> Also, thank GOD you sent me that pictorial guide. I like you very, very much for that xD Edit: Another Problem! Well. It's the same old one. Only without a warning. In all saves.. Is my Oblivion COMPLETELY f***ed? Edit 2: Right, it basically happens, regardless of where I am. Walk a bit, crash. Wait: Crash. Fast travel, surprisingly, no crash. But if I walk, THEN fast travel: Crash. And allll this happened after NOTHING WAS CHANGED X.x
