  1. OK, I am no noob to installing mods into Fallout which is why this is bugging me so bad. I have been installing mods into New Vegas for months now and they all work. I drag the files into the data folder, merge the mesh, texture and sound files and check them off in FOMM. Great, done, easy. But just recently I decided to start modding my Fallout 3. Now, I do the same thing as New Vegas, the game doesn't crash, the thing I downloaded shows up....and the texture is not there. For some reason, my game uses the built-in textures and switches constantly. So, for example, I download an armor. In game it might have a ghoul face texture when I find it. Few seconds later, a ground texture, then a dirt texture, ect. I hate it! Everything but the texture work! Argh! Now, I think I KNOW what my problem is...I have the Steam version of Fallout 3 GOTY that I bought back in May 2010. That's the only thing I can think of that is causing this problem. I have the Steam version of New Vegas as well, so I think it's the GOTY part that's buggin me. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, please respond. These vanilla armors and weapons are killing me... :( Thanks.
