I agree those things are important. And to each his/her own. But I think the default Ryder looks hideous (i know subjective). Compared to the custom models, I think the default actually looks the worse when paired with the goofy facial animations. Also since this game is so heavy on storytelling and this idea that you are your own Ryder shaping your own world, I think for some, having a character you find appealing - is a big deal. Makes you feel more like this is your story. I know for myself, I get a kick out of role playing. I like playing a bad ass girl that is beautiful and all the things I can't be in real life as a normal woman. Again, I think each person has their own take on these kind of games and what matters to them. I'm more of a gameplay is king kind of person. Someone that thinks gameplay and level design matters the most. But when it comes to RPGs like mass effect, I do care about the CC and character creation. But I understand and respect your point of view as well. I think all the things you listed is more important than the character models and CC stuff. However I do think a lot of people care about it, since this is such a story driven game. If nothing else, they should have at least given us the it options. That way those that care a lot about those things, could be happy. And those that don't care so much about those things, would be happy anyways as they just wouldn't touch it. I def think the things you listed would go a long way to making things better.

Good that there is character customization ^^ However, I think the eyes definitely need mods... they're just odd. Sadly, like most games, there will be no official mod support, would make things so much easier. Oh god the CC customization is so awful and limited compared to DAI. The majority of the other models are hideous. As a woman, I feel so ugly and unattractive playing my Ryder. I know that not everyone has the same wants and needs when it comes to character designs. And I can respect that most of the models are closer to normal people in real life. But that's the thing, I am a normal girl IRL already. When I play fantasy role playing games, I want to be something I'm not. Most women I know actually feel this way, which is why most of us gravitate towards overly beautiful/ sexy character designs when cosplaying. It's fun. It's empowering. It feels good. It's escapesim. And I know not everyone agrees with that (I see people all the time argue they want to be able to relate to their characters and want to be able to create themselves in games). Which is totally valid. But why not give us the tools to create the characters that appeal to us? That fits the needs of each person. DAI had these tools. The CC customization on this game is so limited. Don't even get me started on the horrendous skin tones, or the limited makeup options. And ultimately, the games boxes you in to the model types they chose to go with. You can tweak and make some of the models look better, but barely. Ultimately you are still forced to go with the basic look of the model. And for a role playing game, that is terrible.

I just hope to god, people can create a save editor that allows hs to change our characters hair after we already started. I'm 15 hours in, and hate my hair. This game does a poor job showing you how your character will truly look once in game. Even worse because of those god awful facial animations. But the hair color I chose looked perfectly normal in CC. In game, it basically glows neon and I hate it. I also hope people find a way to change the skin tones. The only face model I liked, looks like a New Jersey spray on tan. Just like the hair color, depending on the planet she is on, her face almost glows orange. Do you guys think a basic save editor where we can tweak characters looks will be possible? Every other game in the series had it. But I know this is a new game. Apart of me is tempted to start a new game, but I know that will be foolish :/

Mod regarding leveling up/down?
letterbomb815 replied to letterbomb815's topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
I figured something out. Oddly, it's not leveling up that is resetting my console command for resetting my health. It's everytime I enter and exit a building, or fast travel. I'm really at a loss at what to do. I think I'm screwed, and just have to start all over. I guess it serves me right for messing with levels and breaking the game. Gah. :( -
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I accidentally screwed up messing around with leveling up, and I over leveled my character. I now broke the game. I know, no excuse. I'm an idiot. And my saves files are really far apart. I would prob lose 10 hours or so. I was just messing around, and got carried away. This was early before mods were out, and I just wanted to get more perks. So I set my level high in the console command. The issue is, my health is insanely high. And there is no challenge for me. When I tried to set my level down in the console command, a notification popped up saying the game doesn't allow me to level back down. Is there any way around this? I did try using console command to set my health, but the problem with that is, I think every time I level up, the health resets. Or it seems to reset often, so It would require me to keep manually changing my health a lot. And that gets annoying. Am I pretty much screwed? Is there any way to change my level back down? I guess I'm in a bit of a dilemma. It's totally my own fault, and I deserve it. But I pretty much would have to start my entire game over at this point. And I don't want to do that either. =/

Having trouble with Vampire Eyes
letterbomb815 replied to letterbomb815's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I found out why the male character was able to have the vampire eyes. I had installed this mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8875 However, this mod only adds vampire eyes to the slider for males. =/ So what I gather is, the vampire eyes are usually not available in the showracemnu slide (because they are reserved for the custom races only once you turn), but this guy made a mod that adds the color to the showracemenu. But it's only for males. What I still don't understand (and to be honest I don't really understand how any of these mods actually work), is why I can't just replace an existing color file with the vampire file re-named. Why that texture just doesn't show up in the other ones place. I know why that won't work with this specific mod, as it needs to work with the .esm that came with it. But for the Cover Eyes mod, it doesn't use any file other then the texture files for the colors. What else doesn't make sense is, when I DO try what I said above, like say I replace blue eyes with the vampire color, I can't get it to show up in the racemenu, but then NPC's with blue eyes will have the vampire eyes. Blargh. -
Having trouble with Vampire Eyes
letterbomb815 replied to letterbomb815's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I thought that mod/fix was only a fix for females who's eyes would turn brown instead of yellow when going vampire. I basically just want the vampire eyes to show up in the slider when I go to showracemenu. But let me try the fix and see if that solves the problem. Or maybe I'm mistaken and you can't have vampire eyes in the slider (showracemenu). Is this the mod you are talking about? http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3374 -
Now that I'm out on summer, I've spent hours on Skyrim Modding every aspect it, and loving every second of it! However, recently I wanted to play as a vampire character. After looking around at various mods, I settled on Cover Eyes: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4869 for the vampires eyes, because they look incredible. However, when I go into showracemenu - I can not get these eyes to show up for my female character. I about pulled my hair out trying to figure out why it wasn't working. Eventually, I tried switching my characters sex to Male - and the eyes show up. I have no idea why they won't show up for my female character. What's strange is, the black and red Orc eyes show up for her http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/images/4869-1-1325272294.jpg (The top one). But the red on red/yellow vampire eyes do not show up. http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/images/4869-4-1325272473.jpg (Top one) Does anyone have a clue what might be causing this? I even tried re-naming the vampire eyes file to another file that I knew was working (like blue eyes) and replaced it with that one, and it still doesn't show up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Everything is almost perfect for this character, it's just the eyes! My guess is, there is something weird with the vampire race, where it won't show up in the showracemenu, since technically you are defaulted to one of the main races. But that still doesn't explain why the Male character can have them in the slider. And why I can't just replace a blue eye texture with the vampire texture and get them to work. Here is a picture of my character with the Orc Eyes working: http://i.imgur.com/FXXzL.jpg And a picture of the vampire eyes working with a default Male character: http://i.imgur.com/oUGe1.jpg Sorry if the quality is a bit crap.

I didn't mean to come off as complaining. I fully admit my ignorance. I have a 2tb harddrive but know nothing about the specs. Never had trouble before running heavy intensive games so I always assumed my HD was up to snuff. But now I know. Guess I'm going to have to look into a new HD to bring my system up to the other parts.

My game takes like 30-40 seconds to load up. Normally I wouldn't care so much, but everytime I go into a house, or fast travel, it seems just as long to load. I think the obvious is: I have a lot of texture mods that probably take longer to load. But does this sound normal? Also, my system can handle the game. It gets a constant 60 FPS. Have 8gb Ram, Quad core 3.2ghz, GTX 580 The game itself is super smooth, and gorgeous. No lag, stutter, or frame rate issues. I'm assuming the long load times are just all the high resolution mods I'm running. But just wanted to double check here with you guys, and see if this sounds unusual. (Oh, and I am using the 4gb launcher. I can't use the regular exe, because it just crashes due to the limited memory).

The title says it all. Is it possible to mod the game so you can fast travel from anywhere? I would love to be able to fast travel from indoors.

Skyrim patch downloading right NOW (pc)
letterbomb815 replied to SHO3LACE's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I think you would help a lot of people (myself included) by doing this. Not sure how illegal it is to do it, but if Nexus does not allow it, maybe use a site like megaupload or something. At least until steam and Bethesda sort this mess out. Yea, i'm uploading to mediafire right now i included all the previous original exe's too. I'll just upload a txt that will link you to the download location. Thank you so much. It boggles me how they could do something like this.. I played for 7 hours straight and not a single crash yesterday, now I can't even set foot on cities. I could be wrong. But I think especially if you modded the crap out of the game (HD textures for the cities), this getting rid of the 4gb ram will just tank your game. I was having crashes every 20 min with the original game before all my modding. Then I did the 4gb work around, and my game ran perfectly. No crashes. Then I started modding the s*** out of my game. Now my game won't even start after this patch (and my last save is in a city). Just completely crashes when it loads. -
Skyrim patch downloading right NOW (pc)
letterbomb815 replied to SHO3LACE's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Please do this! I can't even start my game anymore. :( Please don't do this. The TesV.exe is a copyrighted file and uploading here will get you banned. Instead post to the beth and steam sites with your concern over the effects of this bogus patch. Bben46, Moderator -
Skyrim patch downloading right NOW (pc)
letterbomb815 replied to SHO3LACE's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
My game keeps crashing now. It won't even load. ^^^^ I screwed up and didn't keep an original version of the game. I've mad so many changes, I have no idea what could be conflicting with the new patch. But I guess I'm going to have to uninstall the entire game, and then re-install using steam. What a bummer. So many mods. -
Did anyone ever convert this for New Vegas? I know there is a Fallout 3 version. But it doesn't work with FOMM for NV: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16043

After poking around, I found a way to do it. I figured I would post how, in case anyone else had the same question: Step 1: Download Cheat Engine http://www.cheatengine.org/downloads.php Step 2: Follow These Steps Load up your game and alt tab back to your desktop then follow the instructions below using Cheat Engine. 1. Select your process as witcher2.exe. 2. Make sure your scan type is set to exact value and set your value type to 4 bytes. 3. Enter your current oren count where it says value and hit first scan. 4. Alt tab back in-game and spend some orens on a cheap item. 5. Alt tab back to Cheat Engine and type in your new oren count then press next scan. 6. Repeat this process until you only have one address left in the sidebar on the left. 7. Double click on the address and it will move to the list in the bottom. 8. Double click on the value in the list and change it to whatever you want your oren count to be.

Is there a way to get infinite money (orens)? Or a way to edit your save game file, to tweak your total money? I know this is cheating. But to be honest, I just want to play the game for the story at least on one run through. Any replies would be greatly appreciated.
