  1. I like the sayings in your signature, M48A5 :D
  2. There are at least two I know of that have been around for a while. https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/2571 https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/1990 From memory, multiple modders have had trouble changing Kester's dialogue, so that remains unfixed. No idea what, if any, effect they have on Awakening. EDIT: Hm, just scanned the comments threads. Sounds like it's a hit-and-miss kind of venture.
  3. OK, I'll play. But 400,000 is still so far away...
  4. Tinorney: I'm sorry, please pardon my ignorance, but what do you mean by "Mythal now inside Morrigan"? I thought Mythal was now inside Solas, as was Urthemiel if your world state still has her in existence via Kieran. Well, that was my interpretation of the epilogue of the main game: Solas absorbing Mythal out of Flemeth without her consent. I know some have different interpretations, though I never saw anything that I thought could translate into Mythal going into Morrigan. Not that I wouldn't be thrilled if that was the case. I'd love Morrigan to play a significant role. I was a bit disappointed that she seemed to fade into the background once Flemeth/Mythal took Urthemiel from Kieran (if that's what happened).
  5. Hope for Solavellan?! I'm utterly thrilled to hear that part. I don't do the whole social media thing, so I never hear these updates, other than second, third, fourth hand. But thanks for passing that nugget on :D Certainly, the method you've outlined for breaking the Veil, i.e. mass killing, sounds workable. I would have thought, however, as a product of a world where magical wonders inconceivable to current minds reigned, Solas would have something more sophisticated in mind. Well, at least, he'd know of more sophisticated methods and want to use them. Whether he can actually get his hands on such methods/artefacts, or if things designed in the pre-Veil world would even function in a Veiled world, is another matter entirely. Of course, there is also the 'game' aspect to consider. Solas's methods have to allow the writers to create a method that suits the format of an RPG game, rather than just a straight narrative. That must be a fascinating challenge for a writer . The whole war-to-weaken-the-Veil would suit a game narrative, and what you said about not telling Lavellan if this was his long-term plan so she can't then interfere fits with this. Certainly, would work better for a RPG than Solas finding a Magical Veil Ripper then three, two, one, BOOM!
  6. In response to post #27204344. #27204779, #27208494 are all replies on the same post. *smug grin*
  7. Hello, Paul! *waves again* 8) 8) Are you in PR? I usually dread Change, but after reading this, I can't wait for the New and Improved Nexus :D
  8. I'm sorry to hear about PuddyTat, Maharg. I know how devastating it is to lose one of your babies :( Anyway, I'm a cat person x about 1,000! I adore cats, especially the Siamese/Oriental breed. Seriously, when I first saw the breed and read about their personality traits, it seemed like nature had designed a being just for me. I currently have two cats, a Siamese and an Oriental. My Siamese is over twelve years ago, so he's getting on. He has the most amazing nature. I can't imagine ever sharing a bond like that with a pet again. He is the most special boy ever :) I got my Oriental just under a year ago and he is an absolute , but I love him anyway. I got him to replace the cat-shaped hole left behind by the passing of my first Oriental. He died just over a year ago. He had lymphoma and was only 18 months old when he died. It was tragic. We threw all the chemo we could at that cancer, but it didn't work. Anyway, that's all ... I  CATS!
  9. Well, I'm glad you posted, messiasmummo :) I've often felt the same about the things you mentioned; it's nice not to be the only one. I understand the problem with generalising and stereotypes, but sometimes it's hard not to, especially if you've been unlucky in your experiences with other people. The desire to avoid being hurt can sometimes make one more inclined to generalise as well, i.e. erring on the side of caution by assuming the worse. Best wishes, dear. And thanks, Vagrant, for your post. It was very enlightening :)
  10. And so I did. Thanks; I found it quite interesting, especially this part: "Imagination dies at our pens." A very unusual way of looking at it, since so often writing is presented as a process of freedom and infinite promise rather than the opposite. :)
  11. Hello! I don't understand any of this internet gobbledegook, but thank-you to you all for your hard work. I love the Nexus; it's a marvellous site. Hope you enjoyed your holiday!
  12. Oops, I originally started a thread for this question, before I realised there was a thread for things like this already. Please forgive me. Anyway, I am looking for a mod that allows you to sort your quests in the journal. I ask because quite frequently I manage to activate quests that I have no intention of completing and they get in the way of my nice neat list of the ones I do intend to complete. With my latest character, I managed to inadvertently activate two daedra quests, and the personality of my character is such that she would sooner die than do what a daedra tells her (one of them is Namira, who sounds positively disgusting!). I've looked on the Skyrim Nexus to see if such a mod exists, but couldn't find one (though my computer-y search skills aren't fantastic). If anyone knows of a mod that does this, I would appreciate if they could point me in the right direction.
  13. OOPS! Sorry, I just realised there was a thread already for these types of questions. Please ignore this - I'd erase it if I knew how.
  14. Hello people-who-might-be-able-to-help-me, I've married twice in Skyrim, once as a female wood elf who married Revyn Sadri and once as a female Breton who married Marcurio. Both times, the husbands said their vows then walked out before we'd been declared married, before I had a chance to talk to them. Afterwards I've not been able to find them. The wiki says that you should be able to talk to them right after the wedding to decide where you're going to live, but I'm not sure how one is meant to do that if they walk out while the wedding is still going on. Can someone please help? My characters are reasonably attractive and fairly nice people, so this should not be happening to them on their wedding days  . Regards, Qessanea
  15. Ah, yes, that would be it. Thank you very much for responding, Micalov  .
  16. Hey there, everyone! My issue is this: I'd heard all about these updates for Skyrim, but didn't know how to acquire them. For about an hour today I was scouring the internet trying to find out how to update the game or install the patches or whatever, and couldn't find anything about how to do it. Something I read told me how to find out what game version I was already on, so out of sheer frustration I decided to do this, in case it gave me any insight about how to attain my goal. Turns out I'm already on V1.3.10 :wallbash:  . So now I'm curious as to how my game updated itself. I ask because I've heard of people who are still on earlier versions and I'm wondering how this is possible if Skyrim takes it upon itself to apply updates (not that I'm complaining - anything that takes technology out of my hands is fine by me!). Any insight would be much appreciated. I'm rather ignorant about all these things and I'd like to learn more.
  17. I have a question, and I hope I can explain it right. When I go to the image section on DANexus, some of the pictures appear to be shown properly (or what I assume is properly - just small rectangles) and others are joined to huge dark elongated boxes, the height of which causes other images to be staggered and there to be great blank spaces in the display area to account for the disparate size. The images so affected seem to change now and again. Is this what I should be seeing or is there something wrong with my computer? I like the pink and grey - it reminds me of a galah! And I like galahs. I appreciate your hard work :)
  18. What do you mean by 'spoiler', Thandal? Sorry if I've made a faux pas? Oh, dear. It's started to get worse with Amielle. Now she (-100), Leliana (-100), Alistair (-100), Zevran (-70), and the Mabari (-95) have major problems with fire resistance. Others are unaffected. Cold resistance is unaffected and defence unaffected for everyone except Wynne, who over the last couple of hours of playing has suddenly developed a 1000 point Dexterity score and corresponding defence. Amielle's fire resistance went from -35 to -100 in those two hours. I uninstalled Wardens in Black a couple of days ago, because the items were too highly powered anyway. I am pretty sure it's got nothing to do with what they are wearing. Mods installed recently: Mutantspicy's Magic Vault (no longer installed) Manolax's Royal Guard of El'garnan Legacy of Sundown Visible Console ZDF and MRP (newest versions) Rapture's Witcher Rashanta's Armoury TnT Enarmored TnT Black Widow Tintable TnT Enarmored Standalone Warden's Motto Set Shadow Warden Armour Shangrilla Furufuru Armour Respecification V2 Wing of Lilith Robes of the High Dragon (can only be added through console) Dragon Age Face Replacer Also a while back I installed the Spell Shaping mod, and every time I open a game there is a box telling me it has detected a conflict with another mod and that the Spell Shaping mod might not work properly. I just ignored it because it seemed to be working mostly how it should. Maybe that's it? I think I'm going to shear down my list of mods, regardless. Most of them I don't use anyway. I just use the constantly respawning armours for Winter Forge fodder and money.
  19. Dear fellow DA people, I have had this strange thing happening with two of my characters so far, both of whom are about level 11-12. :wallbash: The first - Selene, a mage - gradually developed this ridiculously high defense score, which corresponded with a dramatically heightened cold resistance and a lowered fire resistance. As the game progressed, so did the problem, and it also extended to the companions, though their scores remained lower than mine, as though the increase was related to their time spent with me, either as the active group or just the general group. I have since deleted this character, though at the end her defense was >1000, her fire resistance was negative 75%, and her cold resistance was +100%. The second - Amielle, a rogue - seems to have just started having the same problem, though not with the defense score, only with the fire resistance, and possibly the cold resistance. Currently in this game, Alistair and another companion (can't remember who) have negative 100% fire resistance, while Amielle has negative 35% fire resistance. Possible Culprit 1: Could this be due to an insane console? I only recently enabled the console, and with the first game Selene, where the problem was worse, I not only added a whole lot of items to my inventory via console (mainly from Rustyblade's Wardens in Black), but when learning how to use it, I also ended up typing a whole lot of random things and pressing enter many times before I learnt how to work the silly thing properly. With the second game Amielle, I haven't used the console at all, but it is enabled. Possible Culprit 2: Could it have something to so with the Broken Circle quest? Both characters had done that quest (Selene as her first part and Amielle after Nature of the Beast) before I noticed the problem. I've never noticed it before with any other characters. Possible Culprit 3: The Toolset? I've only recently started playing with the Toolset, mainly designing morphs, and Selene and Amielle are the first characters I've played with Toolset created morphs. Possible Culprit 4: I've been downloading mods from the Nexus since October. Is it possible that some of them are corrupted? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance, Qessanea
  20. Cool. Thanks everyone. Exactly how does one become the Grand Cleric of Lelianaism?
  21. Erm, I've checked her house, and gone up stairs (I think - all these little houses begin to look the same after a while). Is that the back room? I have the tab key down practically all of the time, so I can't see how a doorway or a little boy could escape my attention. Is the timing important? Before attack, before infiltrating the castle, etc.? That's how slow I am in composing a reply that people respond before me. Thank you, Thandal and Pagan. I'll check on my next playthrough.
  22. :wallbash: I have played through 21 times, and have never, never found Bevin (Kaitlyn's brother in Redcliffe), and have never, never heard of anyone else encountering this problem! Where the Black City is the little monkey?!
  23. Thank-you very much for responding quickly  , Frederic, Thandal and Darkewolf. I've never had much to do with computers other than playing the games and I was concerned I was overlooking something really obvious (and irritating others in the process by asking). Ha! Never used these emoticons either.
  24. I have just installed the Toolset, so I can design head morphs. I have a whole set of hairstyles and hair tints, yet some of the hair colour tints won't seem to work with some of the hairstyles in the Toolset (the hair just turns bright blue with green highlights). They do, however, all work perfectly within the in-game Character Creator, and have done for months. The original hairstyles, the tucked versions and LOTC's HF will work with the colours, but others - such as Don't Worry Be Hairy, and others in Kzelsama's More Hairstyles - will not. I've tried copying the compiled chargenmorph to various toolset related folders, to no avail. I have read through the wiki tutorials, but can't make sense of them. Please help!
