    texturing its self is done using paint programs such as gimp ( free ) or photoshop.

    thats A WHOLE new can of worms.

  2. Here you go,

     

    Simple enough to make,

    If you dont know how to already you will need to extract the nif file form your meshes BSA in you fallout/data folder.

    Then open up the vaultsuit male and female in nifskope and simply replace the texture with the one I have given you.

    if you are looking for models to be made, You can count on me to chip in, Im currently modeling for another project for someone else, so I can easily take this one on with you if you wish.

    To see some exaples of my work, vist my signiture link.

    ( my most recent stuff is not on there, as a lot of it is for other modders :) )

     

    I will work on the jumpsuit for you tommorow.

    It is only a short job, but you might want another one two things changing on it.

  4. You will need to navmesh yes.

    then create an npc - go into in search box, search for `settler,' pick one of the NPCS and add him in your cell.

     

    Then you will have to edit his factions, and the rest of it, give him items.

    its quite easy :)

    1-Introduction

     

     

    Hello one and all and welcome to my, AllanOcelot's Model workshop, Please mind the toys, watch yourself on the........wet paint.....

     

    Well, now your all here and in the painty spirit of things how about we get started?

     

    Not so long ago I wanted to mod new vegas, I have worked on many many mods in my time as a gamer, most of witch consist of 2d artwork or coded in effects yet I have always wanted to be able to create things and put them into a world. So, I rolled up my sleeves and told myself while I three days off work I would learn a new skill set, and that skill set was modeling.

     

    Like all good skills in life, we always need to practise, so thats where I need your help.

    I understand that we have a variety of modders here in our wonderful community, so I would like to join the ranks and offer my models to the community.

    I may be a rubbish modeler-personeerrrrr .......modeler now, but with practise I will be able to craft everything and anything.

     

     

    2-Terms.

    You are probbably wondering whats this all about then?

    And quite simply these are the `Terms & Con,' that you are looking for, sorry.

     

    All my work released in this thread, will be made by me AllanOcelot. As such, I would like for you to follow some rules if you do use my models or textures.

     

    1. - Always link back, preferably to this thread. This way we always have a surge of intrest.

    2. - Understand that the models may be used by anyone, at anytime. UNLESS you do not want your requested item to be in general use.

    3. - If a model is not `good enough,' please accept my apologies, however this is as much about teachign me as it is giving you a free model.

    4. - If I cannot, will not, or do not, complete your request, you will always be notified - its just polite.

    5. - No negative comments. Only CONSTRUCTIVE crit, Thanken yous.

  7. Due to the fact that in the fallout universe , it never actually happens.

     

    Its just not fallout style.

    Fallout has always been a heavy RPG, one of those elements that immerses you is the camera being focused on the player.

    I can see it being a nice change, for example, the camera changes veiws while talking, and the dialog box is displayed at the bottom of the screen. But, until I see a test build I just cannot wrap my head around it. sorry. aha. :)

    Good idea though.

  8. Im sorry to say but tihs request is more oblivion related.

    If someone where to take this up, I dont think it would be the most popular mod for the amount of work it needs.

    If you do play oblivion, im sure there will be a perfect type of mod on there, as for fallout new vegas......I mean, how would a pirate ship survive a nuke blast?

  9. Ive just made a simple retexture of a hat in NV that i think you might find useful.

     

    Tell me what you think, and if you like it, I will send you the blend files. Im afriad you would have to get it into nifscope as ive messed with the orignal UV maps of the obejcts.... its hard but ive got a lot going on at the moe :)

    On a serious note, very nice hat mesh. I have a little side project on making a top hat, and might I say, that is one nicely made hat.

  11. I simply copy my meshes, my textures, and my esp files ( all my meshes and textures folder) into a new folder Called name of the mod.

     

    Then, inside that folder, create a readme, and delete all the unwanted files from meshes and textures.... its super quick - depending on pc speed I suppose.

  12. Im sure its possible.

     

    The most basic way would invove making a quest, making the model of the item, and basicly treating the vending machine like an NPC.

     

    So, you talk to it, and there would be an option `buy X X ammo for X X caps,'

     

    Other then that, I dont know if someone could code it for you.

    I know how to do animations in blender, however, I do ont yet fully understand how to animate objects in new vegas,

    Squatting and standing animations sound easy, just a little bone movement. I will certainly look into it for you.

     

    As for editing all the food, I belive you would have to do it manually as you are essentially adding a new trait to the food.

    The best way to eat away at the list ( pardon the pun ) would be to just steam roll through it one afternoon.

    As for background/history menus, Im not quite sure what you mean.... If you mean loading screens with informaiton on them thats done easily enough. I belive its as simple as editing the image files, never done it myself.

     

    For the large bodies of water, why not see if there is a way to copy the irradiated script, and mess with it a tad, tweak it so that the closer you go to a river, it activates a script similar to the Rads one. Once again, im not experienced in this field.

     

    I doubt there is a way , but, one thing you could edit is the global Greeting ( in quests, topics, add new, greeting,) and set one of the scripting effects to be something along the lines of

     

    `get player.hygene

    if player hygene = 5

    then

    end

    else

    if player hygene = 10

    start conversation,'

     

    im sure one of the code monkeys woul be willing to help out.

     

    my advice is not much, but I like to think the ideas would be useful.

    And finally, I live in england, However I do have skype so we could always talk and share files via that.
